A step backward from earlier model
I had the previous model which I loved for it’s simplicity. This one is still basic compared to other brands but I really preferred the way the older one operated. This one does not have the hot/warm settings. It does not visibly wind down so the only way you know it is getting close to the end is when it starts doing this very long intermittent rotate of the clothes. When the drying in this model ends you have to then manually turn the knob to off as the light stays on until you do. Not good if you have someone who puts their clothes in and t...hen leaves it all night like my daughter. Seems to have a lot of setting options added so if you prefer those it’s good. I still prefer just opting for how long I want it to go which thankfully it still has that option. I really dislike the new very long pauses between tumbles for the last part of drying. I just preferred the older model and had I known how this one operated and had mine not died at an inconvenient time, I most likely wouldn’t have purchased this one.

Good but expensive to run
Amazing at drying clothes! It makes our laundry hot and steamy and costs a fair bit to run though.
It does what its meant to do so can't fault it really.
Purchased in March 2020 for $300.00.
Not too bad
I bought this Simpson vented dryer a couple of months ago and it works fine. there are many cycles to choose from and all of them dry your clothes well. A problem with this dryer is the laundry room gets hot and sweaty after 30 minutes the dryer is turned on. But other than that this dryer is good value for money and good for small laundry rooms where space is restricted.
Purchased in April 2020 at Harvey Norman for $449.00.

Easy to use
We bought the dryer mostly because of the baby, so we are using it quite often.
Very easy to use ,
Not the best for someone who wants to save on electricity bills , otherwise it’s perfect

Questions & Answers
Can this model be externally vented? (Can I attach a venting kit to it?)
Considering purchasing this dryer. How do you use the Delicates Setting? I can't see a button for it. Thanks.
Does this model come with a Smart electronic module or it is a simple machine?
We need a dryer which will work on the vessel with 220 V Ac and 60 hz power supply.
Is a simple twist dial with the options on the dial and can me mounted upside too !,
I picked this manufacturer as it’s the same model we use on the mine sites and if it can take the abuse they get on site then they will last a long time at home
Hope this helps
