Dishonest and incompetent
We hired a bin online for 3days and have the invoice to prove it. It was picked up less than 48hrs on our premises. I have sent more than 6 emails to 3 different email addresses. No reply!! Quick to take our money but did not provide what we paid for. We are seniors who cannot afford to spend this sort of money and not get the service. Never again.

These guys are vastly under quoting to suck you in then looking to escalate the actual costs after you pay your deposit. After telling me the bin days didn't suit and that I'd need a council permit (even though we have had multiple larger bins delivered onsite without needing a permit) I cancelled over the phone and it took 3 days to get my refund - yep...they get 1 star for actually giving me my money back!.
This would be the last of the pack. Abhorrent Service.
We booked the delivery and supply of the skip bin service and the removal was critical to continue work and gain access to vehicles. They missed the pickup date and showed little care about the ramifications and no urgency.
Unprofessional and Dishonest
I wish I had found this website before I did business with this awful company. I ordered a skip online, paid for it in full. Never heard back from them. Then when I tried to contact them and they lied that they had made numerous attempt at contacting me via email and phone. What a joke. The lady I spoke to was rude and unprofessional. Wasn't happy of the service so I cancelled the hiring of the skip and asked for a full refund. She whacked me with a 20% cancellation fee of the cost of the bin hire. Their website is dishonest, stating 4.9 star out of 5 of 800+ reviews but you can't see any. Just a made up numbers. No star for me. Stay away from this company!!
Terrible Customer Service
First up, DON’T trust the “reviews” on their website. They obviously don’t publish poor reviews, including mine. So here is a copy and paste on this trusted review site:
Very quick to take your money but if you need to get in touch post payment, you’re out of luck. They do not pick up the phone (8 attempts over several days), they do not return voice messages (3 messages left), they do not respond to emails (5 sent), online chat was hopeless - they can’t help. They overcharge for Council Permits - I was slapped with a 48% admin fee, hence my attempts to get in touch and obtain a justification of why my council permit fee was so much more then the Council website.
Shame I have to give a star.
I booked a bin by online services on the 6th of the 8th 2020. I received the phone call that day from customer service stating that I could not get the bin on the desired date that I selected. I would ask if the following day they had available was ok and I stated no. The lady on the phone advised me that a full refund would be issued. since then I have attempted to contact the company on numerous times to be stated that a refund will be issued also called this morning to be told that a refund was issued and nothing has came through via email o...r via phone or via zip pay. Being a single mum with 3 kids I can't afford to be out of $355. I would not recommend this company to anyone and and going via zip pay now to try and see if I can get a refund issued. it's a shame that people like this are able to operate a company when they've got no intentions were going by their own refund policy that is stated on their website. I would recommend using a local company and not using this company. Edit* refund was issued from Zippay after I got them to chase this up 07th September.
I phoned 4 times over 3 days and no one ever answered my calls or returned my voicemail messages. I submitted an online enquiry and no one responded. I had a live chat with one of their employees. I asked about the surcharge applicable for paint. I was advised that their website is wrong and they do not collect paint as a surcharge item. They suggested that I go to Bunnings (which is not possible given that I'm in Melbourne on level 4 lockdown) or that I put it in my general household waste rubbish bin (I know that my Council doesn't allow t...his and I'd be astounded if any do). When I told them this and asked if they can take the paint as a surcharge item as per their website they disconnected the live chat. Exceptionally unprofessional. I placed a review on their website (where they have a 4.9 star rating) and they deleted the review. Terrible!
additional 2 bins instead of a refund
ok went online found 4x3 bin hire $360, put 1 bin in my cart then spoke to husband later that night to confirm he said yep so i went back to the site but by this time i forgot i already had 1 in the cart, put a second bin in there and proceeded to pay. click click click boom! payed $720 (Immediately realized) went to live chat and informed them was told due to being a Saturday that refund of $360 (the extra bin) wont be processed til monday morning. SWEET right?

gave them 4days notice with my order for a bin. Their web page gives an option to elect a Time for ETA but that was of no use the bin arrived 7.40pm Saturday can you believe it? Anyway cheap is cheap and that was a mistake I made. Never to be repeated. There is absolutely no customer service and if you think that fellow on the Voice recording is going to call you back then you'll be waiting in vain!
Customer service severely lacking.
Firstly, I keep receiving emails to review them on their website, I have tried twice to leave my review which can only be accepted by the admin team (funny that) only to find it hasn't been accepted. That in itself speaks for the way they operate if they are unwilling to have a 2-star review on their website. Filtering out reviews does not accomplish anything. Now to the actual review: I was actually initially impressed with them as they had a pricing error online and gave me a bin at the online price as opposed to paying full price (albeit it ...was a smaller bin than what was first ordered and paid for, still cheaper than the bin usually would be). Delivery was scheduled between 7am - 12pm, by 11:55am we had no notification from the driver so we called up to check the status. We were told give it half an hour and the driver will call. Come 12:30pm no response. Called again and this time were told by 1:40pm at the latest and that the driver would call beforehand. Bin did not arrive till after 2pm without notification, giving us approximately three - four hours of daylight to use the bin. Driver was also rude and unfriendly. The dismissive nature of the phone service was appalling. The only upside I can think of was the online chat assistant, they were friendly and quite helpful. Driver was also much more approachable and quite friendly during pick up (which mind you was more prompt than delivery). I would steer clear of this service in the future to avoid a similar scenario.
Ordered for a Monday but they called Monday morning and advised they couldn't deliver until tuesday, arrived Tuesday within the given timeframe and was picked up next day as requested. Would of been 5/5 had they delivered on requested day but overall not too bad.
Terrible - Don't even deserve 1 star
We unexpectedly needed an urgent same day skip delivery & pickup service. After making several enquiries we decided to use Skip Bin Hire Australia, as their rates seemed reasonable for this kind of service and most importantly, their online chat consultant promised that same day delivery & pickup was possible. After making the booking via the online system, as per the consultants instructions, we received a confirmation email 15 minutes before their office closing time the day before the delivery was due, advising that neither delivery nor pick...up date could be guaranteed. We tried to get in contact with the company immediately via online chat, email & phone messages to query this, but to no avail. We tried again the next day and after many tries via online chat, email & phone messages we finally got to speak to someone in the office, who confirmed that there are no guarantees and the online consultant had given us the wrong information. We then had no option but to cancel the “service”, as we were vacating the house we had sold that day and therefore nothing could be left behind past this day. Even though the service was cancelled, we were still charged the full rate. I tried all options to have the charge reversed, but found out in the end that I have no recourse as we cancelled the service on the day of the service and according to their T&C’s same day cancellations are non-refundable and payable in full. This is despite the fact that they *booked a service that did not meet the date and time we specified in the booking form *booked us for a service that they knew they could not provide (at the very least they should've contacted us first to see if we wanted to proceed nevertheless) *sent the booking confirmation email 15 minutes before their office closed the day before the service was due, meaning we had no chance to query the details and cancel in time to avoid fees (one has to wonder if the confirmation emails are deliberately sent late for exactly this purpose). I wish I had read the reviews on this website before making my decision, as it seems this is not an isolated occurrence. Please do yourself a favour and go elsewhere. There are many other companies out there that will do a better job and keep their promises.
Hidden charges & cancellation fees
The smallest T & C's and cancellation fees (10%) within a 30 minute window in booking. Consultant was not apologetic and was condescending. Would never use this company again when hiring a skip!

I rang at 11-30am to confirm bin was still coming as it was booked for between 7am and 12pm.
Turns out the supplier "never got our email"
A professional and competent company would have procedures in place to confirm supplier bookings.
Skip Bin Hire Australia however are the complete opposite of a professional and competent company.
As with other reviews, totally amateur operation with dismissive offshore call centre staff who seem disinterested in helping.
Poor delivery times
Booking the skip bin was easy. The sizing and prices is easy to follow. What I don't appreciate is choosing a 5 hour window for delivery (7am - 12pm) Ringing them up at gone 11am just to see if it's on its way, to be told the delivery will be this afternoon (12pm - 5pm)
Doesn't seem like the end of the world but it's just poor service, they could have at least reached out to me to let me know it was delayed. My wife's been sat at home all day expecting it by 12pm. Why select a time window for it to be disregarded so easily?
Do not ever make the mistake of hiring these people.
I paid 295 for a 2m3 bin which was delivered late. I did not make much of once filled i have been chasing them to pick it up and [name removed] keeps on asking me to talk to their supplier to pick up. The supplier claims they have not been paid for 15 bins and even if i offered them extra money they will not pick it up from my property. Obviously the supplier is using me to put pressure on these guys to release their payment. The gall of these people they keep on telling me they will call me back and they never do. I am unable to start my landscaping and people are dumping their stuff on my open bin, i risk being penalised by council for it.
One star is too much.
To make an informed decision about whether I would hire from Skip Bin Hire Australia, I asked the online operator if carpet would be accepted in the bins, he said "carpet was ok", he did not mention any extra costs. I also asked about the price of the 6m3 bin I wanted to hire, the price for being in Zone 1 was $681.00. Happy with the information I had received, I booked and paid for the bin, to be delivered Monday 2nd December 2019. When looking at my invoice I noticed that the delivery date had reset to 1st August 2017, which is the defaul...t date (that was unusual in itself, two and a half years behind) in their system. I tried four times to speak to someone about this, eventually, someone contacted me. The person then told me that it would be an extra $200 for the carpet. I told her that I didn't want to pay extra money for the carpet as I was led to believe that it was included in the $681 I had paid. She told me that if I didn't want to pay the extra then don't put the carpet in the bin. Not happy with this response, I cancelled my order and lost 15% in the process. My suggestion to anyone hiring from this company, get them to sign your contract with your conditions included.
No wonder the reviews on their websites are positive - I just tried to write a negative one and they wont publish it!
Online chat and booking process was very easy. Paid and booked skip for Saturday. Received an email to say earliest delivery would be Monday. Email also said I needed to her council approval. Called local council who told me the skip companies sort this out.
Tried to call company multiple times but only option was to leave message.
Got through via email only to be told the council permit would be anywhere from 50-200 extra. No ...

Booked a Skip Bin online based on the price quoted. Received a call from a Skip Bin Hire Australia person the next day to ask what we were using the bin for. She then advised we would have to pay extra for the standard items we planned to put in the bin. As the person was so rude I asked to cancel the bin. She advised I would be charged a 15% cancellation fee even though I cancelled 3 days out from getting the bin and within 24 hours of booking it. This companies website and pricing is very misleading and they are disgusting to deal with. Beware. Have to wonder about all the "good"reviews on their site. I will be reporting them to the ACCC and Office of Fair Trading.
Convenient online booking with good customer service
Easy online booking and prompt delivery. We had an issue with the size of skip that was delivered and when I raised this matter with them, I received a prompt and positive resolution.
These guys are something else.
They honoured the following a price and delivery date and then called me and said it would be an extra $15 a day over 4 days ($60 in total). They would not honour what they first agreed and pretty much told me to go away.

Misleading Booking that charges a lower price that they won't honour, and instead call you and want you to pay more. If you don't, then they charge a 5% cancellation fee.
After spending some time reviewing different skip bin businesses, I clicked onto the ad and filled in my desired skip bin size and waste type, (2m mixed heavy waste) and delivery date, and it came up with a price of $273.
Given this was a great price, I went ahead with the booking and I added in all my details, INCLUDING my address, and it showed the price of $273 that I...then proceeded to pay. The day after, I then received a call saying I was in a different zone in Sydney, and instead of $273 I would need to pay over $400. This is now well above other competitors and they wouldn't honour the price they calculated on the website, I decided to cancel. First I was told that I would get a full refund (on two occasions over the phone) before then being told there is a 5% refund charge by email. While in the T&C's it talks to two different Sydney prices based on location, I added in all my details, INCLUDING my address, and it came up with a price of $273 so I don't see how they can then say its now over $400 and if I want to cancel, they will charge a 5% fee. Go elsewhere. I will be reporting them to the consumer ombudsmen to investigate.
