Carlos was an extremely focused sales man. He worked hard to find me a quality system for a price that I could not match elsewhere. The installation was extremely professional and efficient. The follow up was also good.

Avoid Skylight Energy
Initial contact was good, they send me quotation over the phone, saying they have good software, and they do not need to come for a visit. I’ve paid deposit, and after few weeks they asked for the full payment, so they would come to install the panels next day. This was in August 2018. I paid the full installments, but they never came and never talk to me in person. After waiting for their installation team to come for 6 months, I decided to pull out of the contract. Then my nightmares started, as I was not able to get my money back. Skylight...Energy has been avoiding me and not returning my money. I have even started Fair Trading Complaint against them (9735099) . Finally they have returned my money in June 2019 ( after 10 months), but not my deposit of 400$. According to them, it was my fault that they did not install anything. My advise is - I WOULD NOT TRUST this company.

Never answered calls, installation terrible, would not return to fix problems for a month until I sent them a video. I had to put up with panels banging on the roof due to poor installation
I was surprised on day of installation when asked for $300 because "my roof was steep"An employee of Skylight had previously been on my roof to check and made no mention of steep roof.
System appears to work ok but as a very elderly women I have no idea how good it is and as Skylight has only21/2 stars I do wonder

Had the system installed in Aug 2019 and did not encounter any issues whether it was communication with the team nor for installation, work has been done in a smooth manner within 3 weeks after deposit, system is working properly so far, no difficulties managing the app, so i would say i had a very good experience and hope it stays the same...

Paid deposit in March, Skylight have not installed, do not take phone calls can not give a date for installation
Have called them every week since March, the constantly lie and avoid dealing with the not installing
The are the worst con men and liars I have ever encountered

Once the deposit was paid, the customer service ended. Skylight Energy are the most difficult company I have ever dealt with and I am also ready to go to Fair Trading.
Installation was completed in December (I wont go into the difficulties of actually getting this installed before Xmas as promised...), however the data management unit was not installed and therefore we cannot connect this to the app for monitoring. This is an expensive system and all we expect is for it the be installed as described. N...ow its April and I have been given the runaround endlessl, calling almost every week after they continually break promises to rectify the issue. I could go on, but I get too angry. Avoid these clowns.

Back in early January this year, I've contacted this company for solar panel installation, I spoke to one of their salesmen named Stephen, he gave me a quote and was happy to proceed. I paid the required deposit of $300 straight away so I can proceed to the process immediately. It seems like it was going smoothly at first, I got an email saying that I needed to apply for the solar rebate by going to the Vic solar website, I did that, but when I was trying to find the name of the company, it was not listed and the quote they gave me was not th...ere, so I couldn't proceed. I gave Skylight a call and was told to wait as they were having some issues, I was told they will give the name of the company to use when I apply for the solar rebate. I waited for a week, then another week, then another week, for nothing, I tried again to contact them and followed up but then again, was told to wait, so I waited again....and again....finally I got tired of waiting I decided to call it off and asked for a refund, I called and emailed to get a refund but up to now still waiting...I called again today and was told to wait again. So many excuses, they had enough time to process the refund but still no, action, their excuse now is not enough people in the enough people working because of Covid, it's just for a refund, how many people do they need to do a refund? I work in the accounts and I've processed refunds for less than 5 mins, how long does it take for them to get it approved? Certainly not for more than a month!!!! Ridiculous!!! Now I'm considering to contact Fair Trading too.

did not complete installation as per paid contract. Refuse to take calls or answer emails as I tried to work it out with them. Now I'm going through Fair Trading.

I signed up in early December 2019 with a promise of installation before Christmas. Paid $500 deposit. Received an email saying my full payment of $4500 was overdue on 4 Jan 2020 when agreement was payment of balance on installation. Following up again, I even joked that I was beginning to think this was a scam. I have been contacting admin who have now asked me to "give them a little more time". So I went looking for reviews. OMG. I have asked them to cancel my order and return my deposit. I have now lost the higher Govt rebate which finished...in Dec 2019 so it will cost me more but I don't want this company anywhere near my house. Stay tuned to see if I get refunded or whether I have to take it further. Thank you everyone for your reviews. It saves others from going through the same.
We had a disappointing experience post-sales. We were told the process would take 4 weeks but after 4 months we will be taking them to Fair Trading. Assessment was made for 19 panels but after months of chasing an actual installation date, the electrician stated they could only fit 6 panels. All our concerns for suitability were raised before a deposit was paid, and dismissed by the friendly sales staff. After weeks of being promised a refund, it was eventually denied by management.

Skylight Energy did a fantastic job with our solar system installation. I am very pleased with the customer service and installation team. The system is performing very well even on cloudy days. I highly recommend this company

I took them to the Tribunal to remediate poor installation resulting in damages/loss and won
Negative feedback is hard for any business owner to hear. However, I am providing this review in hopes that the company looks at it as an opportunity to push themselves to be better. My feedback allows others to be aware of my personal experience in trying to get these issues resolved over a period of a year. The rigmarole from signing up, to having to chase up the business who had moving goalpost installation dates, to the ceiling/roof damages, to the incorrect installation, and the remediation of the same was a very unpleasant experience. The...services the company provided was not with due care and skill. Even though the solar panel system is functioning better than before, it took the lodgement of the application with NCAT to make this happen. I appreciate that the poor installation occurred a year ago, but what upset me the most was how the business handled the remediation of the defects caused by the solar installer. I would not suggest anyone use them. I live in NSW and they installed 20 of their 310 W panels to form a 6.2 kW system and had their GoodWe inverter. I had a leak in the master bedroom ceiling which stained. The roof tiles were cracked and although I provided replacement roof tiles, there were more roof tiles which cracked than could be replaced. The Installer simply caulked them without letting me know. The installation was not up to Clean Energy Council standards (based on a Tribunal recommended Solar Audit). I lost the Solar Financial Benefit which one would have normally expected to receive for nearly a year (until the Tribunal requested that they remediate the damages). Even after the Solar Panel System was rectified and the roof tiles replaced, I had to still continue the Tribunal hearings to recover the damages/loss. The Tribunal found in my favour. The audit feedback was: "It is our opinion that this PV Array installation is very unsatisfactory, bordering on unsafe, and that the original installer should be reported to the CEC for poor install practices." When you sign up with a solar system provider, make sure you ask for a full written quotation and contract before signing up, including: * The total price of the system * Proposed start and completion dates * Specifications including quantity, size and output of the solar PV panels as well as the inverter specifications
