Fantastic mattress, on to number two!
My partner and I have been sleeping on a Sleep Republic mattress for two and a half years and are so impressed with it we’ve bought a second for the guest room. It was nice to get the mattress protector with our purchase too. The quality of the product can’t be faulted and our experience with the customer service has been great, we can’t recommend the mattress highly enough

Doesn’t last
The delivery was received a day from a purchase.
I was super excited to get this bed based on all these reviews. I have used it since Oct 2018 and it’s very sad to say the bed is no longer supportive at all. It started to hurt my back after 6 months to the point I couldn’t sleep. I even purchased the base from sleep republic to help it and no improvement in the support at all. Still love getting in to bed after 2.5 years.
We purchased this mattress ONLY because we could purchase though Zipmoney with 6 months interest free. And I'm glad we did. It is the perfect medium feel for myself and my husband. I felt at the time of purchase that it felt as good as (or better than) mattresses that were more than double its price. My only criticism (And why I give it 4 stars after 2.5 years) is that the top laters have slightly flattened out over that time (There is no sagging though.) and I do still recommend it to people.

Really happy with the mattress, base, sheets and customer service
I purchased the mattress and base bundle with free sheets and mattress protector. I've been sleeping on the bed for a week now. The bed is comfortable, medium firm with a soft pillowy top and the the sheets are incredibly luxurious.
The base assembly was straightforward and the mattress unwrapping easy. On the customer service side I received an apology that the mattress wouldn't be arriving until the next day - even though I technically ordered by 11am - 10:57 to be exact :) so I wasn't expecting it that day anyway. Brilliant service but mattress didn't suit - too soft
I would like to give this company 5 stars because the service was absolutely amazing, responsive, easy refund and no-fuss. But the mattress didn't suit us. The good things: mattress seems to be great quality, lovely fabric, NO smell, no partner disturbance, easy to get out of box etc (we bought the King size). The not so good things (for us): the mattress was too soft, not supportive enough and on the 'hot' side. It's one of those mattresses that you sort of sink into on top. That being said, it has a similar feel to many many other pocket sprung medium/firm mattresses that you can buy at the big stores which are typically at a FAR higher price (plus you have to put up with all the nonsense that the salesperson spins). I'm torn about whether we would ever purchase a mattress in a box/online again without first trying. If we had tried this in a store and had the option to compare it side by side with a couple of other mattresses at the same time we would have known straight away it wasn't for us and that we preferred something firmer (or at least, without that 'sink-in' feeling). However, the advantages of buying online are that you don't get any of that unbearable mattress industry nonsense or have to deal with the ridiculously inflated prices or "half/price" / "all sizes for the price of a single" nonsense sales. (Do people actually fall for that?). Anyway.. back to the sleep republic mattress: it's great quality and if you like that sink in feeling but relatively medium/firm-ish support underneath then I recommend giving it a try. Thanks Sleep Republic for being so easy to deal with.. it would be great if you added a pillow top 'firm' version to your offerings; we would definitely buy it!1 comment

Very good so far.
Ordered this mattress on a Wednesday and it arrived the following day.
Needed help to unpack and put on bed.
Had for three weeks now and am extremely pleased and surprised.
Sleep well at night and really didn't realise how bad my last mattress was!
Don't have any aches or pains now, which I thought were a normal ageing thing.

The best mattress we have ever slept on!!!!!
We have now had our Sleep Republic mattress for 10 months and without a doubt it is the best mattress we have ever slept on. It is queen sized and in the past have paid a lot more money for other brands but nothing compares with this mattress. Easy to set up, from the cardboard box it just unrolls onto your bed base. Supplied with a special tool to unroll mattress. Service from Sleep Republic was superb, could not have been more helpful. We live in rural Queensland and delivery was no problem at all. Now had this mattress over two (2) years still in the same excellent condition as it was new.No sagging etc, beaut and extremely comfortable. Very reasonable price compared to the more expensive mattresses we have used before. Highly recommend!!!

Edit: 3 year long term comment/review: This mattress has continued to be great. However, we made a mistake - we have an antique bed which is not the best when it comes to the base. That is, it exacerbates mattress sag. This mattress started to sag/ bow due to this and I started to get lower back problems. I ordered a double for myself and my partner - we are very happy with it. We put the mattress on an old, spring supported frame (antique), which lacks support of any mattress. What we found is this will sag if you don't properly support it - that is, just make sure you have solid slats or a flat base. In our case, we have two large solid wooden boards underneath each of us and it makes it solid. This would be the case with any mattress, so I don't hold it against it at all. So, yes, we are happy and again at this price point it really is a seriously worthy candidate for your money. The memory foam is wonderful to lie on - although a little warmer than other mattresses, it's not too warm (even in our un-air-conditioned flat). How this mattress arrives is very impressive and innovative. It's astonishing that such an excellent products is compressed down to such a tiny and easy to manipulate box on wheels.1 comment

Firmness of mattress - Anyone who is a side sleeper (occasionally back sleeper) who had shoulder/ lower back or hip pain find the mattress too firm? I'm 5ft3", 58kgs with a large backside so unsure if this mattress may be too firm for me.

How long do you recommend letting the mattress decompress before first use?
Also, would it be fine to leave the mattress standing on its side for a good 3-4 days after decompression?
Trying to work out when to unbox it as it is extremely heavy and will need to arrange help.

Hi There, you can sleep on the mattress right after you open it, no need to wait. You're welcome to leave the mattress on its side for a few days after you open it, it won't damage the mattress in any way.
