Limited stock, unwilling to negotiate.
Purchased a mattress, which was unsuitable and arranged return, however due to the limited stock to choose from, no mattresses were available to suit my needs. No refund or negotiations was an option. I would recommend to avoid Sleepy's at all cost and shop at the bigger brand stores which are more flexible on options, refunds or exchanges.
I gave a 5 stars before getting my mattress but now I changed to 0 star.
Not happy with the late delivery. I was charged $90 and we gave the driver $100. He said he didn’t have change. How come you do not carry a $10 note on you? Basically the smart A. wants a $10 tip.
Late delivery didnt help either. I was very clear saying that I need the mattress on a specific day and the sales person was aware of that. Please note - I only got the mattress today because I messaged the sales person asking what time I would get mattress?!

Would not recommend ever! They will NOT refund/exchange the mattresses/pillows if you're no happy. Once buy from Sleepy's and not happy, you will end up with horrible nights.

Grumpy Has Moved On
Disappointing that Sleepy's couldn't (wouldn't) resolve our problem. We have moved on and bought ourselves a Sleeping Duck mattress at a quarter of the price! We love our new Sleeping Duck mattress, perfect! Sleepy's quality and after sales support is nowhere near them, shame on you Sleepy.
Sleepy's Bespoke Adjustable Mattress - Very Disappointing
We bought a king size Bespoke Adjustable mattress from Sleepy's some 7 months ago. We noted and at the time, with both the store and manufacturer, that mattress delivered was much firmer than the we tested in store. We were told it would soften over time. It's now time, and it still has softened. Both of us have uncomfortable nights with numbness developing in hands and feet and we wake with with sore hips and shoulders. Be wary if you buy one these mattresses as the one in store may not be the same as the one they send you!
Staff are liars and don’t honor what they say. Instead they hide behind oh that is what the terms and conditions say. Well how about your staff learn about the terms and conditions and don’t lie to customers by giving them false information. Would never buy from this company again.
Service is hugely lacking, product not great.
Ordered on a Wednesday, didn't get any notification of when my mattress would be delivered or made. When I rang HQ on Friday, it appeared they hadn't gotten notified on their end that they had received an order but they put it on a priority for me which was great. I understand technical errors occur from time to time so up til this point I was pretty understanding.
The next Thursday rolls around, and I still haven't received any word on estimated arrival/delivery time. No one had reached out to try to arrange the delivery. Called HQ again and...they said my delivery would be dispatched by Sleepys @ Richmond and that I would have to call them to know the time. I call them, and they say it should be delivered tomorrow afternoon. - Why wasn't I notified about this earlier?! A simple email or phone call is just common practice. So anyways, I tell them that I'd definitely be home by 7 , due to the late notice I couldn't be home earlier because of work. They said it was fine . Next day rolls around, and not only do the delivery drivers come at the wrong time, (6 p.m) they had horrible attitudes. They also didn't take away my old mattress (despite it saying it would be hassle free on the website), they said I didn't say anything about the mattress removal and that i should have said so in my order. - which is fair enough, but nowhere on the form or the website does it say you must specify this. I also wasn't asked when arranging my pick up . I call Sleepy's @ RIchmond back and they said they would call me the next day to arrange something this weekend or this week once they know their deliveries for the day/week. I didn't get a phone call, only a random email at the end of the day saying that they couldn't do it this weekend and would let me know during the week. - Again, no specificity around the time or day or any estimation at all. Customer service was absolute rubbish. The product itself was meant to be 'extra firm', because I have a bad lower back, but the mattress felt like a medium at best. Overall, hugely disappointing experience, will not be shopping with them again. I'd be wary of the Sleepys @ RIchmond if you order online.
Don't go near
I have put in a warranty claim on a faulty mattress. At no stage did the store provide any assistance and even doubted that anything was wrong with the mattress. Sleepys is in breach of consumer law as they do not offer refunds for faulty products - only a repair or replace. Communication between Sleepys and mattress manufacturer Sleepmaker was non-existent. Also avoid all Sleepmaker mattresses as the company will not find fault with an obviously faulty product. Nor do they provide proof of their claim via photos.
Bad customer service
Inconsiderate people in the office didn't care about my concerns, I purchased floor stock mattress 5 months ago and had issues, only to be told floor stock not covered under the 60 night return, but was informed by customer service in another country, I was misinformed by staff on another issue and they need to resolve it, but have had no call back only emails. Sleepy advising they will not replace the mattress but they will collect it to inspect the issue... NOT Good, they offered a loan mattress, No thank you.
I have stopped contacting them due to too many stresses over this, but I will never recommend them to anyone else.
About 6 weeks ago I bought the Centempo Luxury Medium mattress, upon delivery I was asked to check for any tears before the delivery guys left and I couldn't see any. I went to put the mattress protector on and found there was stitching coming undone on the top quilting of the mattress, I rang the store I bought it from to let them know and was asked to send photos which I did and said they would contact me on the Monday after they contact the office as to what will be done about it. Tuesday came and still not heard from the store I purchase ...the mattress so rang them to find out what was happening and was told they were still trying to contact who they needed to speak with, no sooner had I got off the phone they rang and said it is only cosmetic and doesn't affect the mattress performance and you can cut the ends and tie them off. To me that is not good enough when you spend $2,500 on a mattress that has not been manufactured to a good quality. I contacted head office in Queensland and spoke to a lovely lady who took note of all my details and what my issue was with the mattress, she said someone would contact me withing 48 hrs. I did have a missed call on my mobile phone from a Queensland number so I rang that number and it was the head office of sleepy's and explained I had a missed call from them to which the lady I spoke to had no idea what I was talking about and had to relay all the information about the purchase of the mattress and my issues with it to which she then said the person I need to speak to isn't in the office today and would get them to call me on the Monday after that weekend. Withing minutes of hanging up the phone I receive a called from the store I purchased the mattress from saying I hear you have contacted support services is there anything I can help you with, mu reply was you didn't want to help me earlier when I notified you and I am waiting on a call from head office in Queensland that I will be receiving on Monday. I have never received the phone call back from head office and find it very unsatisfactory to have been sold a very expensive mattress that I purchased for $2,500 and it hasn't been stitched properly and of poor quality workmanship. To add insult to injury upon turning the said mattress around after 2 weeks, I found the side that has the stitching coming undone it feels like I am sleeping in a big ditch, it is very uncomfortable and really difficult to turn over when sleeping on that side of the mattress. Also it appears the cardboard information about the mattress has been torn off prior to being delivered to me. After my experience I certainly won't be recommending Sleepy's to anyone, unless they are wanting to throw their money away. It took me a long time to save up for a good quality mattress just to be sold one that has been made of poor quality and told not to worry about it, it is just cosmetic, not good enough the mattress should not have any imperfections.
I went into Sleepys at Chermside maybe 12-18 months ago, i was served by a girl names [name removed], and loved her sales technique, not too pushy, but determined. Finances weren’t perfect, so waited a few months. Went in just the other week, after having a few sleepless nights in my own bed.
I gave in, and brought a bed. I had to work on the weekend just gone, so I asked my partner, with our daughter (nearly 2) to go in and pick up some things for our new bed.
I was going to wait 3 months to write a review, after all, these reviews below ...only tell me the service is awful, and the bedding is just as worse. My poor partner was trying so hard to focus on our daughter not running away, or pulling apart the store, the salesmen at Sleepy’s were more interested in getting a few bucks. They conned him into getting a USED bedspread, for more than what it was listed for sale ONLINE, and a quilt cover. ABSOLUTELY APPALLING, I WILL never BE RECOMMENDING SLEEPYS CHERMISDE to anyone, while these two salesmen are working here. Who in their right mind takes advantage of someone this way, and sells a USED quilt cover. Disgusting service. We have since thrown out the quilt cover, and have had to spend double, on new (not used) bedding. Never again.
Adjustible bed and matress warranty
We are about to buy from Sleepys. Problem when we looked at the beds we were told the motor, base and mattresses all had a 10 year warranty.
I asked for the details of the warranty and was given nothing firm to go by and was told the warranty was only 5 years. Not happy about the fact we went to the store twice and asked the warranty question many times to be told 10 years. I wanted to know all about the warranty because we were looking at Tempur who offer 10 years on the three components. Reading some of the comments here already i am not f...illed with confidence about the company and am thinking not to buy from them. I really do not like putting down $6K on a product that has next to no information on the warranty and the warranty time has been reduced by 5 years for each part. I have raised this issue with the franchise owner and am awaiting his reply.
Do Not Buy From Sleepy's
We spent about $3000 on a medium to high end mattress with Sleepy's Mile End, as I suffer from back pain and need a good mattress. it came with a factory warranty (3 years I think - can't remember now).
After about a year it had developed some obvious dips despite being regularly turned and rotated as per instructions.
After some back-and-forth and having the mattress taken away to be assessed, it was agreed that the springs had failed and the factory stated that the whole spring set needed to be replaced.
We didn't want to repair it nor...replace it with same, as a good night's sleep is too important to chance on a product that obviously wasn't up to the price tag, so we requested a refund as per Australian Consumer Law. The request went to head office, and the reply came back "We don't do refunds". After much running around, we ended up taking a replacement of a different type of mattress from the manufacturer, as the store just refused to do the right thing. We spoke to a lawyer and considered taking it to small claims, as we really couldn't afford to be done in for that amount of money, but in the end it would've taken months of time and more money. The company absolutely counts on the customers not having the time to take them to court. Avoid at all costs.
The salesman, [name removed], gave false information to get us into buying the product. Typical salesman who will say anything to close sales. We were indecisive on 2 of the mattress that we tested in store but he assured us that we can choose one and in the event we don’t like it, we just have to pay $80 for the transport to exchange. He even enticed us with free pillows for both and got the mattress at $2400. On the invoice, he claimed that he has to put in dollar value for the pillows else his manager will fire him and we allow him to do wha...t was needed. However after we had the mattress, we were still having back pain as it was too soft and we went back for exchange, having in mind that we will only pay $80 but he then turned around and claimed that he did not say anything like that to us and the pillow was never free. Hence, in order for us to exchange, he pull out his exchange policy now and claim that we still have to top up even though the mattress we bought was detailed at $3999 and the other mattress we want to exchange for us only $3599. Notwithstanding the fact that he also want to deduct the amount which he placed dollar value against the pillows in the invoice. The manager on duty was siding his staff said his staff was right but after confronting him, he admitted that he had to put dollar value to the pillow and the manager was speechless. We won’t get the pillow if not for free. She then said she will consult his boss and get back to us on Monday. It has been 3 weeks now and no one has called us yet. This is a disgrace to your Company and i’m writing in so other customers don’t get fooled by your exchange policy and conned by your salesman. i’m still waiting for the call for a reasonable resolution. Never go back to the place again!
WORST experience of my life
I looked long and hard for a new mattress and I was impressed that they were experts (definitely seemed that way in store and prior to purchase) and they offered a 60 sleep trial, then it all went pear shaped when the bed I received was NOTHING like the bed I tried in store (my husband describes the mattress as "like sleeping on the road"). As a customer, I have never before made a complaint but I have been hung up on by management, ignored by senior staff and I have made numerous attempts to resolve the situation. When I mentioned the 60 day...comfort exchange I was told the warranty option was my best avenue. After speaking with the manufacturers they sent me a letter saying "don't be alarmed", "it will soften up" etc. The fact is the bed I received is nothing like the one I tried in store PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE take note and do not be taken in.

My advice to you is don't purchase any sleepmaker product, look for a alternative product. Shopping at Sleepies is a bit like buying a second hand car, they say it has a warranty and u can return within 60 days if u are not happy. After that time, when the matrsss has sagged, they are just like the car salesman, totally not interested. My tip, spend your money else where. Good luck with it all

Hey Lisa, the mattress is made by the company Crown not sleepmaker like that person said. I just bought that mattress from Sleepys and it is very comfortable.
