Damage not covered at all
Transported a brand new range rover, noticed the interior console has significant scratching and interior (front/back seats) all dirty as if someone sat it in.
Called on day or arrival, and each day for 1 full week - support staff somehow always at lunch.
[Name Removed] in support is unhelpful and deceitful. Implying interior damage is somehow not covered...she notes a T&C relating to personal property and affects as to way the interior is the same, its clearly not.
No help and careless.
Terrible customer service also, no tracking on the car at all just guess work.
Stay away.

DO NOT use this company for any vehicle transport!!!
DO NOT use this company for any vehicle transport!!! SMB do NOT take responsibility for damages they do to your vehicle and their professionalism is non-existent. During a recent transport of my vehicle major damages were done to my vehicle. Both the roof and bumper were damaged. The driver cable tied the bumper back on so I could not see the damage when collecting the vehicle and said nothing during collection so I would sign the consignment slip none the wiser. Once I discovered the damages the following day and asked for it to be further inv...
Read moreestigated. No response for over two weeks and finally they responded stating that the damage happened during transit but because the vehicle is over 20 years old (a classic, vintage vehicle) its not their problem and wont do anything about the roof nor the bumper. Would never use this company again. Lesson learnt.Terrible Service
I had to transport my car from sydney to perth. I dropped off my car at their Sydney Depot on 8-Aug and was given a date of 29-Aug for arrival or before. After 1 week of dropping it and upon enquiring I was told that it will reach in Perth by 29-Aug. Then everytime I called they said it will be delivered by 29th Aug. Now when I started calling this week everyday they tell me it will leave today and I have been hearing this for last 5 days. Today on 29th Aug I called again was again told that it is leaving today. Seriously guys, if you dont know...
Read more when it will leave atleast tell the truth, stop playing this game of today and today. The biggest mistake of my move from Syd to Perth was to book my car with SMB. 8th Aug drop off at sydney and 29th Aug still parked there in sydney, such horrible service. I had booked a rental car here in Perth but had to give it back today because it was getting out of my budget now. I will give an update later of when and if my car arrives at perth.(Ref: 345830)- 2 reviews
Would never use them again !
Gave them a HSV GTS to move from Melbourne to Perth at end November 2018.
I personally dropped the car off to them straight from the paint shop where the car had just had a complete repaint and was in perfect condition.
The car arrived in Perth, 10 days late, with both side skirts smashed to pieces.
Spoke with Andrew Mytkowski (company owner based in Sydney) who accepted responsibility and authorised me to get the damaged fixed and agreed to pay the $2445 bill the following week. That was three weeks ago with no payment being made and now refus...

Lost or stolen tow hitch/towbar.
The tow hitch/ towbar on my brothers car was missing from his vehicle on delivery. SMB kept avoiding calls for days. They sent through a grainy out of focus photo as 'proof' that it was not on the car when they picked it up. Too bad we couldnt see anything on the back of the car to say one way or the other if it was there or not. Quote for car transport from ACT to NT was given as car having one attached. Not happy and will never use this company again and will make sure any friend or contacts know of this situation.
Questions & Answers
So far I am unhappy with SMB service. They should know that there is a holiday (Easter) during the process. I made 3 phone calls before Easter and asking when will my car arrive to Darwin from Melbourne and they said it would the there on 06/04 in the first call and then the end of 6th week and then 12/04 and today 06/04, they said it would arrive at the end of next week (16/04). The reason for these delay is because of Easter holiday!!! I have read all the review from the top and feel like they did this with more than 70% customers here. I will wait until my car come to officially write a review about thier servicw as one of the big issues here with them is they damaged customer car (I hope it will not happen to me but ...)
how hard is it to track where my car is I'm not cranky just can't figer out your tracking system HELP please
Honestly Anthony, I have transported many cars with SMB, and I never needed to track my cars because it didn't make any difference in terms if delivery time. SMB is slow but cheap, they also transport...
Read more non-running cars. Their estimated time is always correct if they said 4 weeks it will be 4 weeks knowing that the car still in depot or transit isn't important for me. If you need urgent transport they are not your best option. I hope this helps Thanksthanks for that just a little to keen to get it i guess
