Vehicle arrived weeks later and damaged.
I chose to go with this company to transport my vehicle from Brisbane to Perth as it had the best price and fastest delivery as per quote. 17 business days was the quote I received on the 30th of November. My car was then available 49 days later with a damaged tail light and missing aerial. I was given multiple false days of arrival which I had booked time off work to collect. My cost of the transport has added another $1000 for the parts I will now have to replace. In trying to justify these damages I’ve sent multiple emails & calls & no one seems to care or reply. I will never be using this business again & recommend anyone one of thinking to use them to read the countless reviews.

Poor communication- glad I didn’t use them!
I contacted the company for a quote and received an email which seemed a bit suspect as it had no official company signature or other formal sign off. I felt a little better after calling and speaking to them in person. I booked online and (luckily, in hindsight) was not charged at the time. I received no confirmation email or formal correspondence confirming the reservation. After reading other reviews I decided to go with another company, and I’m glad I did. After failing to drop off the car as per the reservation there was no follow up correspondence. I’m glad I didn’t pay as the level of service was poor and I felt nervous engaging with the company

My vehicle was damaged. Rude and unorganised!!
There are not very good processes to keep track of clients vehicles and possessions, or their associated delivery timelines. Communication is also severely lacking. I had to contact numerous people to find out when my vehicle was going to be delivered, all individuals were extremely rude and unhelpful. P & S paid their subcontractor SMB (contrary to other correspondence received) for the delivery of a vehicle that hadn’t even been delivered. In the original email and quote I was told the ETA was 16 working days and after booking and finalising...
Read more payment I was told 20 working days. After my car had finally arrived after 31 working days (6 weeks) I came to find dents and marks in the roof (where the straps must have been placed) and my antenna missing. Would I recommend P&S Logistics or SMB Car Transport? Absolutely not. To pay so much for a service to have my vehicle damaged, awful communication, rude service and an unrealistic (and extremely late) delivery time is absolutely disappointing to say the least.Find out how SMB Australia Car Transport compares to other Couriers

BAD SERVICE AND UNRELIABLE
We purchased a new van which was modified for use with a wheelchair and the supplier sent our finished van from Adelaide to Orange NSW with SMB. The delivery was very time critical as we needed the vehicle to travel and we can't just hire another car. The Adelaide depot was told that the vehicle had to be delivered within the 7 day time frame they advertise but the vehicle didn't arrive until a week later than promised.
I had to phone the head office everyday to chase up what was happening with the vehicle and was told they would ring me with u...
Avoid!
I used these guys to transport my car from WA to NSW and they bent the control rod on my car where it had been strapped down on the truck. It was a very scary drive from Sydney to the Sunshine Coast (after a wheel 'specialist' also missed this crucial default). They also said it would take 2-3 weeks for my car to arrive but it actually took just under 5 weeks. There was no communication, I was constantly having to chase them up for information. I chose these guys because they were cheap but it was futile because I had to pay to get my car fixed. When I tried to contact them to get some compensation they wouldn't return calls or emails. I will never use them again and warn all my friends and family against using them.

I hope my comments be seen by senior management (CEO, Board ) of the company st strategic level, you folks can not go on like this, you are heading into corporate and financial suicide. I setup a business from nothing and now worth over 60 Million, it took me 20 years to set this up and I know thing or two about customer service to get where I am now. You can not make everyone happy 10 to 15 % of customers always going to whinge no matter what, unreasonable expectations etc, may be in building and transport industry up to 25%, because of the v...
Read moreariables in these industries, but you can not have 80% of customers whinge about your business and only 20% or occasionally happy campers, look at your reviews bad to good, every 8 bad reviews you may get 2 good reviews, come on fellows, something is terribly wrong with your business need fixing up, I used you guys recently, and just like everyone else I had issues, delivery did not come on time, when contacted through email no response, no information provided customer about delays, when you ring you get the privileged to talk with someone with heavy Asian accent I believe in Philippines, OK fellows, if you want to save dollars moving your call center overseas it is justified but you need to have a process when customer escalate issues as opposed to heavily accented individual rather just reading what is already available to the customer through the website with the tracking number, no fill service need to meet the customer expectations, (yes I understand longer ETA), for anyone to consider premium service. Why don't you manage customer expectations better, be realistic with your delivery times, If I were you I will get my team to add 20% buffer to anticipated ETA, so you don't keep telling customer fibs all the time and you built business reliability through this, if and when there are delays, keep the customer informed, it does not take too much to send an email to the customer or offer the customer 50$ gift voucher, for extended delays etc, immediately you built better relationship with customers and also reputation and business reliability, at the moment you are at the butt end of business reliability, look at some of the businesses that fail over the years how they were doing 5 years before they fail, I can see almost identical pattern with you guys, if you don't change folks, you are in the pathway to the end, you need to change how you do business otherwise you are heading into disaster, I personally don't want to attack other folks livelihood, I hope I have given something for you to think about, for me I will not be using you folks for a while unfortunately as I need someone reliable for dollars I spend, you are not ticking the boxes for me at the moment, All the best2 comments

Read moreinting how uneducated and racist your comment is in regards to speaking to someone with a 'heavy Asian accent I believe in Philippines" Really mate, and also apparently uneducated , we will see which part of the education scale you and I sit when I finish my comments mate, I came to Australia with only 20$ in my pocket without ability to speak English (not a word) now owner of multi million dollar business, employs Aussies born here and also flown here with heavy accents and that was over 35 years ago, first 5 years of my life over here I spoke English with very heavy accent, even today I speak English with slight accent, YES MATE I AM from ethnic back ground, for any business bread and butter is their sales team and customer service team, I WILL NOT employ anyone who can not articulate, communicate with the customers well in sales or customer service. be it due to their heavy accent or inability to articulate due to lack of interpersonal skills, what we have here got nothing to do with racisms mate so don't play the race card here, you have bunch of people in your customer service team who can not communicate with the customers well due to their accents, this is apparent with anyone who had phone your team recently, instead of addressing the issue YOU ARE BARKLING AT THE WRONG TREE here, by the way the car had arrived eventually way past the ETA with dints that were not there before and with multiple scratches that were not there before courtesy of your business. I did not waste my time with your insurance as I know very well where that would take me as my car is a luxury car had my own insurance got it sorted through my insurer, have a fantastic day Andrew good luck with your business- Verified customer

Car was damaged and they took no responsibility
My car was damaged when it was transported from Perth WA to Sydney NSW. The driver that delivered the car pointed out the damage to me. When i contacted SMB I was told i would receive a call back about the matter. I never did. After 5 months and multiple calls i finally received a response saying that they are not take responsibility for the damage. What a joke!!

Bad experience with this Company
Had my car transported from Perth to Darwin in Feb 2020. Car arrived damaged on the front valance. SMB will not take any responsibility for the damage, and we are left with a damaged car that was checked thoroughly when I dropped it off at their depot. They now say there is an $800.00 dollar excess, which was not part of our agreement with the agent we used called Moving Cars. Too many middle men, who will not offer any assistance either, would not use this company again.

DO NOT use this company for any vehicle transport!!!
DO NOT use this company for any vehicle transport!!! SMB do NOT take responsibility for damages they do to your vehicle and their professionalism is non-existent. During a recent transport of my vehicle major damages were done to my vehicle. Both the roof and bumper were damaged. The driver cable tied the bumper back on so I could not see the damage when collecting the vehicle and said nothing during collection so I would sign the consignment slip none the wiser. Once I discovered the damages the following day and asked for it to be further inv...
Read moreestigated. No response for over two weeks and finally they responded stating that the damage happened during transit but because the vehicle is over 20 years old (a classic, vintage vehicle) its not their problem and wont do anything about the roof nor the bumper. Would never use this company again. Lesson learnt.Would not recommend
- Car transported Perth to Brisbane
- Very hard to get into contact with Perth office. Left a message with name + number and they never called back
- Kept having to call back for any updates on estimated drop off and felt like I was annoying them for wanting to know where my car was
- Workers seemed very unsure and couldn’t give clear answers and then was lied to about whereabouts of my car by other worker. Was told car was to arrive on certain day and that it was running late because of truck break down, called back closer to this estimated day to find out it wasn’t even placed on a truck yet?
- I would not recommend SMB transport, have been without my car for nearly a month and it’s still estimated to arrive in another week still

Fake 5-star reviews. 25 days for car to even leave the depot
Shipping a sedan from Perth to Sydney, quoted $950 and given an indicative time frame of 6 to 12 business days. Dropped off my car on February 10 at Perth Depot and completed the paperwork. With this time frame, I was expecting to be able to collect my car on February 25/26.
After 11 business days (February 25), I started to call once a week to ask about the status of my transport and each time I was told "It's on it's way, it definitely should be coming in next week". I would ask if I could have a copy of the processing history provided to m...
Read moree, and they told me that it would be sent to my email, but they never did that. On March 11 (23 business days, over a month since dropping it off), I called again and finally was told actual information, "The truck is scheduled to come in tomorrow, but probably won't be available for collection while we process it". I asked when my car was actually loaded onto the transport truck, and when the truck left Perth depot and was told "It was loaded onto the truck on March 7". Which means that when I called on February 25 and on March 4, the staff were lying/unhelpful/uninformative as they said that the transport is "on it's way" and not "waiting to be loaded onto transport". This also means that it took 18 business days for my car to even leave the depot, far exceeding the indicative time-frame for drop-off to collection. As I was hiring a car interstate in the meantime, I had only booked it for until February 28 (remember that I was expecting to collect my car on Feb 25/26), and kept extending my car rental by 7 days under the assumption (based on the information that I was given), that my car was already on its way. If I had been told upfront that my car was waiting for a spot on the transport truck and not lied to, I could have booked my car rental for until March 13, instead of extending my car rental week by week.Find out how SMB Australia Car Transport compares to other Couriers

Terrible service
Spent $1742 to get car transported from Melbourne to Darwin. Car sat in Melbourne depot for a month and Adelaide for a week. While in Adelaide my car was damaged. No contact was made to me. Car arrived in Darwin and only contact was to pick the car up. Arrived and nothing was mentioned about damage. Personal details for Andrew (owner) provided but all correspondence has been ignored and I have been made to feel like it’s my fault. Damage worth $3000 and company not willing to pay or compensate. Would definitely avoid this company at all costs

Delivered without damage and personal belongings still in place.
Transported my vehicle from Perth to Sydney with personal belongings in the back. Vehicle and personal belongings arrived safe and sound. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Transit time was on the longer side of what was quoted, but I was told all carriers were busy clearing backlogs from recent highway closures.

Not a honest company
About a year ago I booked my vehicle to be transported from Darwin to Sydney and my car arrived a few days after the time frame quoted. I was not contacted about this. I had to chase up and was made to feel like I was bothering them. I recently booked my car to be transported from Sydney to Darwin and used a third party company to book on my behalf and asked them not to book with SMB because of my previous experience. Unfortunately SMB were booked due to my budget. I was promised that my vehicle would arrive back in Darwin 9-15 business days an...
Read mored decided to give them the another chance. I have called to see when my vehicle would be arriving in Darwin as it has been 9 business days and I have been told that my car won’t be arriving in Darwin until 19 business days. That’s 4 days over my quoted timeframe and a month without a vehicle. I will NEVER book with SMB again!terrible service
it took over 19 business days to get my car, and no one contacted me. This company is not helpful but waste my time. nasty company and service. They don't even have the good customer service.

Terrible Service
I had to transport my car from sydney to perth. I dropped off my car at their Sydney Depot on 8-Aug and was given a date of 29-Aug for arrival or before. After 1 week of dropping it and upon enquiring I was told that it will reach in Perth by 29-Aug. Then everytime I called they said it will be delivered by 29th Aug. Now when I started calling this week everyday they tell me it will leave today and I have been hearing this for last 5 days. Today on 29th Aug I called again was again told that it is leaving today. Seriously guys, if you dont know...
Read more when it will leave atleast tell the truth, stop playing this game of today and today. The biggest mistake of my move from Syd to Perth was to book my car with SMB. 8th Aug drop off at sydney and 29th Aug still parked there in sydney, such horrible service. I had booked a rental car here in Perth but had to give it back today because it was getting out of my budget now. I will give an update later of when and if my car arrives at perth.(Ref: 345830)Questions & Answers

how hard is it to track where my car is I'm not cranky just can't figer out your tracking system HELP please

Honestly Anthony, I have transported many cars with SMB, and I never needed to track my cars because it didn't make any difference in terms if delivery time. SMB is slow but cheap, they also transport non-running cars. Their estimated time is always correct if they said 4 weeks it will be 4 weeks knowing that the car still in depot or transit isn't important for me.
If you need urgent transport they are not your best option.
I hope this helps
Thanks
thanks for that just a little to keen to get it i guess
