SMB Australia Car Transport

No communication what so ever I paid for a 28 day service thinking I would have it there in plenty of time
6.5 weeks later just arrived brand new car covered in tree sap
(20kms on it )
Worst company I have ever dealt with world wide

After reading all the negative reviews I was a little concerned when the 3rd party freight logistics company I used, contracted to SMB. It was unfounded though. My 60 yr old car was transported across the country without a problem and no damage. I was quoted 13 to 18 days delivery - arrived in 6!! The driver went above and beyond to assist. I would use these guys again. Don't believe the whingers.

Had my car transported by SMB, it is the worst experience I have ever had with a transport company. The car got lost going from Melbourne to Brisbane I was told it was in Sydney then a week later found out it was still in Melbourne. When it did get to Brisbane it couldn't get delivered due to trucks braking down so I was told if I pick it up I would get a refund for that part of the transport by SMB. I originally went through a 3rd party who connected me to SMB. It was much easier dealing directly with SMB , I found them helpful and accommodating with drop off and pick up locations.

I would use their services again.

SMB may be competitive on price, but it seems you get what you pay for. It took them 37 days to deliver a car from Melbourne metro to northern NSW. And that is a from a Melbourne car dealership. No information was ever provided by the carrier, I had to call every few days to find out what was going on. The car literally sat at their Sydney depot for 2 weeks going nowhere. I was told that the car was out for delivery 3 times and obtained the necessary Unregistered Vehicle Permits and booked in a Blue slip inspections etc, only to have them not s...

Transported a trailer for me within the Perth area. Unfortunately the business is full of incompetent people. Trailer was damaged and once they finally admitted the damage i was told i would be contacted by the insurance department. No contact and it has been months now of me calling, sending quotes etc but they just ignore the calls and emails. If using this company be prepared for your stuff to be ruined.

Transported a brand new range rover, noticed the interior console has significant scratching and interior (front/back seats) all dirty as if someone sat it in.

Called on day or arrival, and each day for 1 full week - support staff somehow always at lunch.

[Name Removed] in support is unhelpful and deceitful. Implying interior damage is somehow not covered...she notes a T&C relating to personal property and affects as to way the interior is the same, its clearly not.

No help and careless.

Terrible customer service also, no tracking on the car at all just guess work.

Stay away.

10 emails and still no car. Did it go by sea, rail or road. Who knows…probably got Covid and got hospitalised. Don’t try the 1300 as it doesn’t even go to voice mail or maybe hasn’t been cleared from year dot

Happy with the service and the related price, at times the car may sit in a depot for some number of days, perhaps covid is responsible, I'm not sure. The car was received at the other end without any problems except delay.

The car transport from Adelaide to Darwin took more than a month. I had to call a couple of times until they put the job as urgent to get it then. But decent service overall as car came in good condition.

Vehicle arrived in condition it left its destination, with nil defects or damage. Service however needs improvement, nil tracking information provided making it difficult to gauge exact delivery date or ETA.

I booked through CAR TRANSPORT EXPRESS, paid the money they wanted, then two days after, CAR TRANSPORT EXPRESS asked for more cash!!!! said they under charged me, so i paid more which i was not happy about. As other reviews state, customer service is DISGUSTING here. I took my car to the Melbourne depot. The truck driver was working alone and there was no one in the office. He said he was filling in. I tried to pay him, and he said to pay on the other end in Darwin as he doesn’t know how. Then, after a whole month (yep, a month) my car arrives in Darwin. Had our car picked up from Sydney for be transported to Qld, 5000 grands worth of damage. They blame the yard for the damage yet not marked by their driver on pickup. Sooner they are put out of business the better.

As I picked up my vehicle from the depot it had a dent and paint scratched off the boot. They clearly reversed into something and took no responsibility. I wouldn’t recommend this company
