Flaking Enamel Paint.
Hi
This is my 4 new Smeg oven which had several different problems when first purchase approx 3 years ago.. The last oven was replaced in Sep 2020 because we noticed that after we did the pyrolytic clean. The enamel paint was flaking off the front on the top (in front of the oven door). Its now October 2021 and the enamel paint is flaking off at the same spot as the previous oven. At the moment I have informed the service agents and are monitoring it. SMEG DOSPA6395X - Double Pyrolitic oven
Had my Smeg Double Oven installed in March this year. Worked great until nearly finished cooking then main oven unresponsive. Nothing would work. Tried left control to exit function but unresponsive. Tried turning timer to zero unresponsive. In the end had to turn off oven at mains as oven controls froze. When I turned the oven back on worked fine. Over the next few uses had similar issues. Seems control board either has a loose connection or chip failure. If this keeps happening will be sending it back.

Read morecleaning function. It is fantastic however inside enamel does not like it and after second clean has cracked at top of oven opening. Was really hoping this fault was sorted with this newer model as had the problem with the previous model after 3 pyro cleans. Has some great features but the main fantastic feature i.e. pyro cleaning doesn't work well as starts to disintegrate enamel on inside of oven. It's a good size and love preset recipes but comes with too many issues. RachelPurchased in March 2020 at Kitchen Things for $3,600.

Exploding smeg oven
Having worked for a number of months, I tried to use the pyrolytic. One hour in and the glass exploded. Sunday afternoon, nobody at smeg around to help & certainly no dinner for us ! Two hours of my weekend Also spent cleaning up. Glass, glass everywhere !! I have emailed smeg and just hope they will rectify this is some way. There is lots of glass and I’m still worried my dogs and kids will find some and step on it

Not great, regretting the buy!
So disappointed. We had our new smeg oven installed in our new kitchen. We used it for the first time tonight. Terrible experience. After 1 1/2 hours it stopped working and the display screen is blank. Cannot turn it on. Only the light will work. Really!!! I haven’t contacted smeg yet as it just happened. I googled trouble shooting as there really isn’t anything in the manual. I came across this website. Wish I read these reviews before I purchased it. Fingers crossed it gets sorted quickly.

The Smeg oven has been wonderful for past 3 years. We don't use it much (wife & myself). Went to use it tonight and the oven fan and oven light switch is not working. An 'Error 8' message appears??
The lower auxiliary oven works with light. Is there a quick fix for this please as can't understand why this would be an issue for such an expensive oven. Any help would be appreciated.

Hello my parents bought this oven DOSPA6395X less than 18 months ago.

I have never had an issue with exploding glass but big issues with the pyrolitic function. It works so well it damages internal enamel lining. It not only cleans oven but it weakens enamel cavity. ...
