We purchased a mattress from Snooze earlier in the year. I specifically said that we didn't want a foam/synthetic mattress because my partner sleeps hot. We also mentioned that we are both stomach sleepers (I was scolded by the sales attendant for this - but I'm not there for a health check, I'm there to buy a mattress) and that I was after a firmer bed because that's what I find most comfortable and have slept on in the past. Despite the sales attendants' attempts to sell us an incredibly expensive mattress, we settled on a mid range one. It w...as more than we were expecting to spend but we also wanted to make sure we got something that would last. It has been uncomfortable from the word go. Sleeping on my stomach is incredibly uncomfortable because the mattress is far too soft (it felt firm in the store - it's positively squishy at home. I can't work this out for the life of me). I can't sleep on my back because I have sleep apnea, so now I toss and turn trying to get comfortable enough to fall asleep. My partner has a bad back and hip and he finds sleeping on this mattress much more uncomfortable than the last we had, which was terrible quality. I thought perhaps this was just due to it being new and needing time to adjust, but it's been three months and there has been no improvement whatsoever. We are just getting more and more aches and pains. Furthermore, for the first time in my life I am sleeping hot - and it isn't just the warm weather. I wake up in night sweats even on mild evenings. I am positive that this mattress has a synthetic foam layer/pillow top which is making me so unpleasantly hot when I sleep, despite explicitly asking the sales attendant about this and his response being that it was not a foam mattress. Disappointed doesn't even cut it - we're stuck with an expensive mattress that we hate, and that we can't return. Thanks for nothing.
Awful business- go somewhere else
We purchased ensemble beds from the Northland store on 12th January, where we were told that our preferred delivery date, a week and a half after the purchase (a Saturday), would be honoured and that would be plenty of time for the warehouse to prepare our goods for delivery. We were told that a few days after our purchase we would receive a call from the warehouse to confirm our delivery date, and were assured that the delivery guys were exceptionally good at keeping to the delivery time window. We never received this confirmation call, so we ...had to call them, who said no, our beds would be delivered early the next week after our preferred delivery date. After taking time off work to wait for the beds to arrive, a confirmation call never came at the time they had re-arranged this new delivery date, and so again we proceeded to call them, spoke to the same guy who kept claiming he never said he would deliver it early that week. When he told us it would be over a week til delivery we threatened to pursue a refund for our purchase, which then he agreed he'd deliver it in a week (tues 31/1/12). We then received a confirmation SMS which said it would come between 8-10am and so again, proceeded to take time off work to get these beds delivered. After 10am the delivery guys still hadn't come, where we, for the third time, proceeded to call them to see what was happening. We were then told there had been some issues on the previous deliveries and would need to be delivered Wed 1/2/12 instead. How many deliveries could there have been before ours, when we had the earliest delivery window (8-10am), for our delivery to be pushed all the way til the next day? After two weeks of terrible sleeps on the floor without a bed, I am horrified by the lack of honesty and transparency by the Snooze staff. Still waiting on the beds and I'm not counting on them turning up Wednesday, despite having taken 3 days off work for them to come. At the time, our salesperson was also saying a lot of bad things about another particular bed store, saying they had terrible management and are ''evil'', which I tried to ignore at the time, but knew it was a dirty sales tactic. I will never buy from this franchise ever again. Never keep to delivery dates/times, lack of honesty, dirty sales tactics
