Could have been good BUT!!!!
I went to the Sydney Home show earlier this year (2021) and went to the Solahart stall specifically for Solar Panels. The lady I spoke to was nice enough; I even spoke to the General Manager. Anyway, after a long discussion about Solar Panels I booked provided my details for them to come out and give me a quote for our new home.
After several weeks had passed, I received no phone calls; I needed to have panels installed quickly. After a few more weeks I decided to contact them; they were extremely apologetic and said that someone would contact...me to make an appointment, which to their credit, they did. I had my on site visit with the Solahart Rep. and I think after a day or two I received my quote (which for the record was THE most expensive I had received) I promptly advised the Rep. of the same and told him that we would not be proceeding with Solahart After reading some of the reviews on this website, I am glad I did not proceed. My own experience, and those on this website, are a clear indicator of the very poor service Solahart provide to their "customers". Due to my onw experience with Solahart, I cannot, with a good conscience, recommend Solahart fo ryour Solar needs. I have since gone with another supplier/provider.
Could have been a great product 20 years ago, differently not now
Had installed solar hart system in 2014 .received a larger than normal water bill must have a leak somewhere, notice solar hart panel gushing water phone solar hart it’s out of warranty. What piece of crap.
If your a Family Don’t get solar hot water
I’ve now had this system for 12 months so this is what I’ve found.
The Good. Plenty of Hot water in summer.
The Bad. One day of cloud in winter with booster on off peak 2 still not enough hot water for a family of 6.
It was explained to me that gov regulations have forced the change in the booster location of the tank which now only heats half the tank whereas my old solar hot water heated the whole tank. I never had a problem with the old system.
So In Regards to this I can’t be critical of solarhart but congratulations to the intellects in...
Came in cracked 4 ceilings , a hole in a door , didn’t clean up after themselves, left off cut wiring in the gutters and left over conduit in the ceiling as well as not installing the system the way they had it in the quote.
I’ll give them a little credit because they fixed the ceilings and door but I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone else

Know better, choose better.
I purchased a hot water solar system which is the biggest they have- as recommended by the company of course ($$$$++++). The installation was straight forward, but I’ve had to hound them to come back and fix the system as it was leaning against the wall after the water filled up (which they were reluctant to resolve initially; stating they would only come back out to our place once other jobs had been logged in the area. Clearly just to suit them. Had to pull out the Mum voice to get them to come immediately). The piping was also leaking from t...he roof and overall the system is-so far- a big waste of money. I’ve had to use supplemental electricity to keep the water hot on several occasions and I live in NTH QLD. Absolutely ridiculous given the size of the system. Overall do not recommend. Don’t waste your money people!!!! Townsville Solahart themselves are not the greatest company to deal with. Consumers shouldn’t have to constantly bug them to rectify issues. I also wanted additional plumbing work and they said they’d come back to quote me and of course never did. Their loss.
Misleading and overpriced
We went with solaheart thinking a big name company was the way to go , had their salesman come out and I stated I was interested in a 10kw solar system , he said mate our 6.6kw system is second to none and will do the job you need , they installed a 5kw inverter and now we are stuck with it , long story short we got a $5k system for $10k , misled and ripped off !!!

Contacted for 5 year service and quoted a price. Tradesman turned up said roof was too high and went away. Some weeks later I contacted Office requesting status of service, said they would get back to me. Two weeks later still no word. I contacted the office again said they would get back next week which finally happened said quote would go up by $250 as roof was higher than expected. Service finally completed.
During this time had repeated calls from their sales office about their solar installation quote when would I accept!!!!
hot water that leaves me cold
solarhart( Maitland branch) had already put up panels on our roof, when we decided to use them again for our hot water. They already knew we were a 2 storey house. The quote given, we thought took into account that we are still a 2 storey house. When workmen arrived, stated that they did not know we were a 2 storey building, and required a bigger "lifter"for the panel. This meant that we were going to get slugged an extra $300-00. Not fair I stated as this should have been part of the original quote. That's why it's called a quote. The work w...as not overseen by a senior and therefore, when the unit gushed water, we had to send the workers back up on the roof ("we didn't put the pipes on properly"), and again, when they left tiles off the roof. I stated that this was unfair to pay an additional cost that they were supposed to already calculate ( that's why they call it a quote/contract). We were then "threatened" by the company stating that they would not give guarantee or that they would dismantle the unit( is that what they call blackmail?). So in effect we were bullied and threatened into this added expense. Do not trust this company word as it is worthless as proven to us. So was the Dept of Fair Trading and Consumer Affairs- "so long as the job was finished.....". I think they missed the point about quotes and quality of workmanship. I guess Australia now has no self pride in its work??
