Rude Phone Manner
We received promotional material in our mailbox despite the clear sign saying No Junk Mail. The website shown on the flyer does not exist. I called the phone number shown on the flyer and asked why we had received it. "Sam" told me the Post had distributed it so to take it up with them and told me my question was silly. When I tried to respond she hung up on me before I had the chance. Very rude and insulting. The customer service skills are definitely lacking. I bet if I had called up interested in a purchase I would have gotten a different response. I hold doubts that anyone using their services would be listened to if any sort of disagreement occurred.

Waiting over 4 months for a service and still nothing!
Bought a house with existing solahart water system. Running poorly since November 2021. Made many calls to the local franchisee for a service, but still no service. No local alternatives.

I insisted on buying a solar system from what was supposed to be the best. We paid considerably more than from a "lesser" company. The salesman was great, but tried to persuade my that I didn't need as large a system as I wanted.
We've never seen that salesman since. His promises have not been met. We 'invested' in the Solaredge system so that we could monitor the system. It has spent more time NOT working than working. Solarhart do not care. They did send out one of their electricians one time: he couldn't get any assistance from the dealer either. Our electricity bills are a similar level to what they were before we installed a 5.5kW Solarhart system. Thanks Solarhart...for nothing.

Unprofessional Rogues with Poor customer service
The worst lack of customer service ever... I originally contacted Solahart for information of my system that wasn't working properly, they advised the plumbers they used and after a month we needed a quote for Sewer connection also. I just happened to request a quote from the same plumbers for 2 different jobs no sooner to be invoiced by Solahart Mandurah. Despite asking if there was a callout fee for plumbing quotes (I was advised no). Amanda Brown has been rude & demanding that because I used the same plumbers they require payment, she is a rogue and wont be getting our business. I have contacted the CCC to report them

Stay away from Solahart Hoppers Crossing VIC
Cowboy contractors hired by company with no sense of Standard/compliance took few minutes to run AC cable between two dry wall and invoiced for unagreed $495 for pre wiring which is currently not approved by inspector as it’s not in metal conduit. Pricey outdated panels and terrible service makes Solahart least preferred provider for solar energy system.

Absolute Joke
Hot water system installed in 2017. Since then 80 odd emails, numerous phone calls to and fro and 20 meg data (pictures) to get a working system?? At least 5 visits by Solarhart to "fix"the system. Came home one day and the pump (tank water) was going flat out as the relief valve on the hot water system was jammed open. I rang and told the company that my septic was full of water from it. I was asked so what. So what indeed? we are in the bush so we only have tank water. One glass panel was covered with an aluminium sheet to stop the system get...
Read moreting too hot. A jockey tank was then fitted and the bloke removing the aluminium sheet shattered the glass panel, leaving glass all over the place. The company then came to replace the glass panel. I suggested that a vacuum cleaner was needed and they hired one in Kingaroy 30 kms away. The repair technicians did not have one ($50 at Bunnings for a good one. They also had no cover for their truck to stop crap falling out as they drove. This is mandatory in Qld. (Another 50 dollars would have solved this). I went to the Office of Fair Trading who were (in my opinion) useless. I believe that the company is just trying to limp the system past the warranty period.Reading the complaints, most of the responses from Solar Hart are exactly the same? Good personalised attention, NOT.
Tanks rust out prematurely. Absolute crap tanks. Avoid
Tank is <10 years old. They say they should last 20 - 30 years. But only warranty for 5 years....because our is rusted out throughout already. Concept works brilliant, so find another brand. These are not up to standard.

Sunshine Coast Solahart - Incompetent or Fraudulent? Maybe both.
The salesperson was pretty smooth & showed me all the positive power graphs with the $ saving; however, make sure that the exact model number of inverter & panels are listed on the quote because you may get second-hand, much older & lesser quality products installed, as I did. On the first visit, my existing working solar system was disabled when a worker was injured & I was left with no solar power for 6 days until they returned and installed the system with a second-hand inverter. I was initially contacted and told that there was a couple of ...
Read moredents on the front panel & $100 was discounted off the price; however, I later found that the invertor had been previously installed in another person's name & had 2 rusty scratches across the front panel. Solarhart returned a third time to install another inverter which did not work at all. When I heard the van drive away, I immediately checked the system which was alarming with an error code. The inverter Techs in Sydney told me that the person who installed the inverter was obviously untrained and even worst the inverter was not the model that I had paid for. The Operations Manager tried convincing me that the older inverter was better than the later model. His tone changed when I wouldn't swallow the yarn & insinuated that I was a whinger & was responsible for the injured worker (he later vigorously denied that was not his intent). Weeks later, on the fourth visit, another inverter was installed and it worked, yippie. The inverter was still not the model that I paid for but there's no way that I want Solarhart back. I was promised some recompense for having no solar power for weeks & the stress of being stuffed around, but nay. In addition, I don't know what happened to the government grants (STCs) dollars that are always advertised. On at least 4 occasions I tried to find out who the General Manager/Owner of Sunshine Coast Solarhart was, and they refused to tell me. In summary, if you have already paid a deposit & cannot back out of the contract; don't pay the full payment on the day of installation, as demanded. Make sure everything is working as promised and you have had the correct items installed. Once they have your money you go back to the end of the clue and you will be fitted-in, on a slow day. Sunshine Coast Solarhart aren't totally hopeless, the framework is there, with at least 1 management change plus code of conduct/ethics training. All the workers that attended my house were friendly and I have no complaints; 1 worker was obviously untrained in installing inverters but that's not his fault.Find out how Solahart compares to other Solar Panel Installers

Post Installation Customer Service
Salesman did a great job telling me that when the new solar hot water system was installed to replace an ageing system the existing pipes and cables would be checked for compliance and if anything needed remedied that was included in the price. After installation I discovered that the existing pipes in the loft space did not appear to be insulated which it says in the installation literature is essential. I've called the Newcastle Office several times since December 2020 and I've emailed the salesman. I keep getting told that the top technician...

Avoid Solar Hart South West (Western Australia)
Dealing with Solahart South West has been the most disappointing experience we've ever had as consumers. We paid a substantial deposit (on the invoice they issued us) to have a solar system installed that would enable us to be almost off the grid. The week prior to installation, they visited our property and realised they couldn't include the water pumps. Without the water pumps we literally have no water and we experience power outages of up to three days (all of which we had explained to the company when we were getting a quote). Previously w...
Read moree'd been advised they would be included. And on their advice, we had purchased a new soft start water pump that would minimise the power utilised. Their solution? To design a new system which would cost us an additional $4000 to install. At no point did the company apologise to us for their mistake or offer to bear some of the additional costs required to fix it. Instead they offered excuse after excuse and then told us they were returning our deposit, thereby failing to honour their comitment. They kept stating they did not have a contract with us (even though they had taken a deposit from us and had the deposit for four months) and therefore no obligation to do anything, other than give us our money back. And, this really left us reeling, after all of the excuse they offered weren't accepted by us, they said that the system they had designed for us (and were about to install for us) would never have met our power needs anyway. Smacks of total incompetence from where we sit. If we were able to give them zero stars we would.Don't Even Consider One...!!!!!
Don't buy one...!!!
No Customer Service Available After Purchase....!!!
Solarhart couldn't care less once the system is installed and they have your money.
Don't be fooled by the marketing and so called discounts. Once installed, if there is a problem you go to a call centre which may as well be in the Phillipines. The call centre knows NOTHING about Hot Water Systems and they have NO direct contact with contractors....!!! There is absolutely no one i.e. a technician you can call directly to swiftly solve a problem ASAP. You have to sit back an...

Absolutely shocking solahart hot water system
I had a solahartL series fitted by Solarhart team Sunshine Coast at the start of winter 2020 1st June and for the whole of winter we have had to turn the BOOSTER ON every morning g no hot water every morning so I can see why the Solahart Solar Hot water system only got 2.6 star rating when the good efficient Solar Systems get 4.5 to 5.0 Star ratings. Looked at problem solving on Google with all Solutions saying I have a Major Costly Problem. I rang team Solahart Sunshine. Coast after nearly 2 weeks a service person came out adjusted a. Valve...
Read more said it now works , next morning no Hot Water rang the team again they sent a Service person again after nearly 2 weeks all that was done was water temperatures taken after another 2 weeks still no Hot Water the team came tilted the solar collectors on the roof looks very ugly they said it was fixed again have not had any Solar Hot Walter so rang the team at Solahart again tried to explain the problem was again overtalked interrupted and told to turn THE BOOSTER ON AND LEAVE IT SWITCHED ON then hung up in my Ear so I now would have to pay the extra electricity bill which I noticed on my last bill the electricity consumption had jumped up since last year. It’s now into Spring and still no Solar Hot Water in the morning so I looked up the FEDERAL GOVERNMENT SOLAR WEBSITE AND THAT DESCRIBES THE SOLAHART ELECTRIC BOOSTER SYSTEM THAT REQUIRES BEING SWITCHED ON ALL THE TIME AS “ inefficient and costly cutting in and pre -empting the Solar Sun Heating” After having a Solar Hot Water System for well over 12 years that worked well during Winter it Supplied Hot Water that required some Cold to shower I will continue a report at the end of spring , at the end of summer and in autumn when I will use my 20/21 Family Holiday Savings to buy a New 4.5 to 5.0 Star Solar Hot Water System that works all year round I will then write a report on the difference between Solahart 2,6 star and a 4,5 5,0 star System RobertBarnes SUNSHINE COASTReceive up to 3 quotes with ProductReview.com.au

Woeful installation experience.
Sales team were excellent, however...
Once the deposit was paid I didn't hear from them, until an SMS message after business hours from one of their subcontractors who did not have the full scope of works. Difficut to get satisfaction once the contract is signed.
Avoid.

Technician absolutely useless.
Our unit is an Edwards system, 10 yrs old, and existed on the house we purchased 3 yrs ago. We were advised that Solarhart could service these units., even though they are no longer manufactured. We were concerned that the system was not heating properly. Although detailed information had been give to the 'office' when making the booking, the technician was unaware of our issues. The technician arrived and took off one end panel and did a visual inspection only. He said there was no evidence of leaks in the casing or pipes but because the sy...
Read morestem was so old it probably would not last through the summer, possibly explode, as he felt there must be and internal issue that was not visible from this inspection. He advised to leave the backup electrical switch on 24/7 all year and never turn it off. He said a service of the unit would be a waste of time. He also offered to have the company send out information on a new Solarhart system. Normally the payment is required prior to appointment, however we paid our bill to technician on site and received our invoice the following day. The following day we had another inspection from a private company, on our request. This technician used to work for Solarhart and was considered to be one of their best at the time. He turned off the hot water, disconnected the tank and did a pressure check for leaks as well as a visual inspection. Conclusion - Tank is in perfect working condition. No repairs required and advised that we should get up to another 10 years from this unit. He also advised to use the back up switch for only 2 hrs when required as any longer is totally unnecessary and a waste of electricity. The bill was $40 cheaper and paid after job completed.Questions & Answers
I submitted a review around 3-4 weeks ago expressing my amazement that when Solahart sent a repair person to fix my 8 y.o. Solahart 302J roof-mounted system, he sent me an invoice for $740, with another visit required to replace the sacrificial anode at a further $200.
This service is apparently necessary every 5 years, doubling the price of the system over its lifetime.
This was never mentioned either when making initial enquiries or at the time of installation.
l attempted to make detailed enquiries at the time but these were artfully deflected by sales staff.
Needless to say l would never have bought the system had l known the cost over 20 years was $8000 rather than $4000.
I have contacted Solahart 3 times but never received so much as an acknowledgement.
My review has disappeared from this website. Why?
Yes solarhart have problems with maintence that other brands dont have.
Thanks Sammy. These problems would include failing to mention at the time of purchase that the lifetime cost is double what they're advertising? That they're continuing to advertise that their system...
Read mores will "save you money" when this is clearly not the case? And that they don't respond to enquiries about this situation? Have Solahart just given up on customer support? And on complying with consumer laws on advertising products? Worth a complaint to what used to be called Consumer Affairs?Hi Kerry
