Seem to work ok but workmanship on the roof terrible
First off sales and admin were really good, the company itself has not contacted me since i sent them an email, does not worry them, When the trades arrived they did not even say they were from solahart, could have been anybody luckily the name was on the truck, the panels, some are under stress, one corner down one corner up, are up and down and not straight on the roof, when I picked the problem i was told it was the roof, and the panel laying crooked on the roof was what they call a uphill system lol, they said it was to late that afternoon ...and would come back and remove all panels and rectify, they came back but did not remove all panels just did a patch up job, in there own installation instructions there is supposed to be a gap between the panel, on the long side there is, but short side not, i said to the installer about this missing gap and he said no, i don't think they have a measuring tape, level, or string line, there was pvc glue spilled on the colourbond roof, and no one said anything until asked about it, not good work man ship, i went with a local dealer thinking they will be better than the cheaper systems on tv, wasted our money, Let me say here that the system seems to be working fine and it is only because of poor work habits that it has got to this stage, already one customer turned away after viewing the panels

During the cool part of the year I was happy that the team could act upon my cold showers within a week. John was helpful and educated me about the system well. Had a hot shower that night they were helpful with directions as to the government incentives and did not demand payment straight away

The Solahart distributor, Keeman Electrical, gave us a 5 star experience.
They included 20 Tier 1 REC PV panels (290watt outpit ea.) and a 5kw ABB inverter. This is a perfect combination.
The installation was all done in 1 day and the follow up quality check ensued no issues would arise. After sales service exceeded our expectations.
After 18 months we are still in ctedit with our power acvount.

I submitted a review around 3-4 weeks ago expressing my amazement that when Solahart sent a repair person to fix my 8 y.o. Solahart 302J roof-mounted system, he sent me an invoice for $740, with another visit required to replace the sacrificial anode at a further $200.
This service is apparently necessary every 5 years, doubling the price of the system over its lifetime.
This was never mentioned either when making initial enquiries or at the time of installation.
l attempted to make detailed enquiries at the time but these were artfully deflected by sales staff.
Needless to say l would never have bought the system had l known the cost over 20 years was $8000 rather than $4000.
I have contacted Solahart 3 times but never received so much as an acknowledgement.

Yes solarhart have problems with maintence that other brands dont have.
Thanks Sammy. These problems would include failing to mention at the time of purchase that the lifetime cost is double what they're advertising? That they're continuing to advertise that their system...s will "save you money" when this is clearly not the case? And that they don't respond to enquiries about this situation? Have Solahart just given up on customer support? And on complying with consumer laws on advertising products? Worth a complaint to what used to be called Consumer Affairs?
