Worst product i ever bought and would never deal with them again. Leaks like a sieve and company is no help. Pretty much try to blame you for it leaking. Guaranteed not to leak, hardly.
Poor customer service
Save yourself time, money and headache, go for another company. The after sales service and communications were appalling, as it took many countless phone calls and emails in order to get some sort of responses. After reporting mould in one of the room where the solar panels were directly installed, they sent a technician (who is NOT a roofer) to take a look, they blamed on the ventilation of the room and denied any damaged tiles due to the solar panels installation. We got 2 different roofers to come, both confirmed that there were damaged tiles around the solar panels, which caused the mould. Despite the photos evidence of the damaged tiles we provided, the company refused to acknowledge our claim. We don’t recommend them.

Warning do not deal with this company. If there was an option for minus stars I would select it. Put solar on my mother's house. Sales person said they didn't subcontract the work out. They did exactly that to a sub contractor who basically destroyed the roof and damaged brickwork. Wouldn't answer calls for weeks. Initial sales person said it happens all the time and to go to Fair trading. Dishonest business. Take your money elsewhere.
August 20th 2019 Update: WARNING! Terrible business
Was lied to by the sales rep. Then during installation m...y roof was severely damaged as a result of incompetency. They took 3 months to fix it and then demanded payment daily. They only talk to you when they want to. Don't return your calls or provide adequate updates. I ended up with a ridiculously inadequate sky light sold to me by the dodgy sales rep and 3 months of stress and anxiety over the damaged roof when installing my solar. No idea if permanent damage has occured due to my roof being exposed to the elements. TAKE YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE!!!
SolaX installed 17/1/19, inverter stopped working 8 days later
Had SolarPath quote me and SolarBright is the place you contact for support when there is problem. [name removed] informed me on 29/1/19 to send an email & photos to support@solarbright & someone would look at it and get back to me. Friday 2/2/19, no one contacted me, i called SolarBright to ask about my email. It had been received and i spoke with [name removed] this time he asked for more photos of the 3 switches were on, i sent this through. Then Saturday, Thomas rings and says my switch in electrical box is off. I sent through more photos s...howing it is not off, as indication window on the switch showed green. Then it was established something is wrong with the inverter and we will call you Monday. I did not hear from them and i called them and spoke with [name removed]. Was told either this week or next week they will have technician out. I said almost 2 weeks? He said hopefully not that long but i will call you back. I have been chasing them up to find out a date for technician to fix this. I keep getting told different days. Thursday i was told definitely Friday, if not Saturday by [name removed]. I called on Friday 8/2/19 to find out if technician is coming Saturday and [name removed] tells me i spoke with [name removed] on Thursday and agreed for technician to come on Sunday! A lot of misunderstanding in the office and i am frustrated as i am calling them to get this fixed before my electricity company changes the meter. I would like compensation for the inconvenience. [name removed] said this is an international company and after my inverter is fixed they will let me know who to contact. At the end of conversation with [name removed] i asked for email to confirm that technician will be out no later than Sunday and this was ignored. April 20th 2019 Update: Additional information - In regards to previous review - installation 17/1/19 and 8 days later inverter stopped working Thanks SolarBright for not replying to my last review! Yes i finally got my inverter fixed on the Saturday 9/2/19 after talking with another customer service. Again communication a let down. Your office closes at 2pm on Saturday and i was called back at 1.30pm to say technician would be there in an hour. I waited to 5.25pm and no technician showed up. I went out and came home about 6.15pm and technician was here fixing inverter. All working well except my electricity company won't install my new smart meter. If your meter board is asbestos, no one lets you know this need to be replaced at the owner's expense. This is an additional $2500 -$3000 on top of your solar system. My electricity company will not install a smart meter to receive FIT unless the asbestos is removed. Thanks to SolarPath not letting me know when they looked at my meter board and all the electricity companies not asking this question over the phone. Plus the sales person from SolarPath was to show me how the app worked after my smart meter went in. He has not contacted me or helped with this problem of the smart meter. Quite angry and annoyed at all companies all involved.
Excellent sevice, communication and installation
Everything was done easily and quickly without any issues at all. Emails were answered quickly installation was so quick it took me by surprise. I would recommend to anyone.
May 22nd 2019 Update: Updating previous review
Were great when buying but 6 months down the track when there is a problem we have been trying for over 4 weeks to have it fixed to no avail.
Solar Bright as a company. I ordered my skylight 2 1/2 months ago. They took my deposit, then the communication slowed then stopped. They tell me that they have tried to get a date to install many times, but after the first list if dates I provided which passed by, no one contacted me. All the contact was my end. Between emails and phone calls, no one bothered to contact me back even though they promised. I cancelled the order and requested a refund. Still no contact was made with me. Finally today they tell me they are not refunding my deposit as they have paid the freight for it. Not my problem if they wont install it. I will be going elsewhere.

We have been let down by Solar Bright. We ordered some solar lights a year ago and they took until xmas last year to get installed and they have never worked and do not work to this day. The staff at this company do not return phone calls and when they do they only offer false promises that they just can't seem to deliver on. I highly recommend you shop around and do your homework before considering doing business with Solar Bright. Best wishes one and all. :)

Bought a tublure skylight 3 weeks ago, was installed on the southern roof and was told it will still perform due to some lense inside that will reflect light inside but clearly not making any difference. When i called the office some one there said that was the only roof above the kitchen and c...ouldn't be installed elsewhere but i guess the installer gets paid per install and didn't want to lose the install that's why i was lied to. They are refusing to do anything for me now and am very upset about this $850 skylight that isn't getting the light inside.
Done my installation 3 months ago from day one having problems with inverter, rang so many times keep telling me lie after lies not prepared to send send back installer to have a look, my inverter only producing 15kw day where it should be producing over 30kw a day. No customer service ethic rude and disgusting bunch of people. Keep away from them.
11 months ago we had a solar system installed by This company. Three months ago the inverter broke down. After many phone calls & emails many of which were not answered we finally rang the owner and two & halfmonths later we recieved a replacement inverter. Now the problem is getting the company to return phone calls or emails to arrange for someone to come and install it. They were very quick to sign you up & take your money but not so quick to respond to problems.

Solar Bright took $3200,installed a broken Solar hot water system, damaged the roof and ran
Solar bright sold me a Solar hot water system. The water was never hot enough. I raised this with them and was told to change to a different electricity plan as the hot water was connected to off peak. I did that but the water was still luke warm. My wife noted this was not right. I tested the water at the thermometer and noted it was way below Australian Standards for temperature which can cause all sorts of nasties breeding in the tank.
In addition my roof was damaged by their plumber at the time it was installed. A day or so after install...ation there were heavy rains and the roof was flooded. The plumber returned and put some silicon here and there but a few months later the roof was leaking. The hot water system failed within a few months and my roof flooded. Solar bright refused to repair my system and wanted to charge me to replace it. I had another very experienced plumber look at it and was told the original installer cracked the flange and this was why the system would never heat water to the correct temperature for Australian Standards. The tank could not be repaired a complete new tank was required. The hot water system had a 5 year warranty so I thought I would be covered and paid the $3200 upfront. Unfortunately Solar bright went into voluntary liquidation and the directors set up another business using the same name, facebook page and website. They refused to repair it claiming they are a different company. The liquidator told me to forget about as it would cost thousands to re-open the voluntary liquidation.
Poor system and disgusting after care service
If you want a company to install your solar system and then not provide any after care service once the system stops working and you are paying full price for your electricity, then go ahead. Use this terrible company. I should have checked product review before purchasing from this dodgy company. All they do is blame the manufacturer and tell US to go to the manufacturer. We had no solar for 4 months and after phone call and emails were sent, no one came to even investigate what the problem was. The alarm on the inverter was going off for hours. When they finally came out, it was the panels that were faulty. We are still waiting on them to apologise.
Don't deal, when they get your money they wont return your phone calls and provide you with customer service.
I have use them to install solar electrical panels.
When they finished installation they told me that the solar inverter is faulty and they shut system down advising me to purchase another inverter.
Two days later I have invited independent electrician who tested the inverter and said there no problems with it. I paid him for the visit and test.

I had a skylight put in by solarbright i was on holidays came home to my roof/ceiling leaking my gyprock roof had fallen in from a storm we had while away.I contacted insurance company they sent emergency tradesman out to check my roof an make safe an found tiles on skylight not in place around skylight they put them in place they way they should have been an they did a report finding skylight to blame an tiles never sercured in place correct i rang solar bright an they told me they would send there installer out to have a look he came out a...nd said he didnt find a issue but used a full tube of silcon on tiles an around skylight if u didnt find any problem whats the silcone for guys hello!wheni rang solarbright back they told me skylight was 100percent ok an the leak wasnt from there installation an to send a builders report to them from the insurance company they now dont wont nothing to do with it after they did receive builders reports saying from a builder surveyer of a insurance company an a private builder for keep safe company !I received a email from soiar bright saying they are not liable for the leak an damage $5500 an will not be open to any liability of the damage !Not a phone call just a simple email.Ive contacted fairtrading an my solicator with all my building reports from insurance an private survivors thanks solar bright u are a real disappointment! No communication between sales staff and installers = poor outcome for customers
Attended the Sydney home show in October this year where Solarbright had a stall. We enquired about installing a skylight above the stairs of our two storey house. Their saleswoman stated that they can install their skylights anywhere and above stairs would not be a problem. She came to our house to give a quote and was shown where we wanted the skylight installed. She still insisted there would not be a problem and she took a deposit.
Two weeks later their installer arrived and the first thing he said was, "No one told me the job was like ...this! " I asked him what he meant and he said he didn't have the gear or know the job was over the stairs of a two storey house. I said your saleswoman made out she was an expert and told us there was no job you couldn't do and he replied, "How would she know!" Obviously their staff don't communicate and don't know what they can and can't do. He said he would have to rebook the job for another day. The job was rebooked for a week later but the night before the installation one of their staff phoned my husband and told him that they had a meeting and had decided the job was too difficult and so they would be cancelling the job. My husband asked for our deposit back and also told the caller that they needed to speak to their saleswoman regarding her poor knowledge of the job requirements. The deposit was not returned promptly as requested and my husband had to phone the manager twice after waiting for over a week. This company has poor communication between staff members which impacted on us and just wasted our time.

You guys installed a 6.5KW system at my house 6 months ago . I am concerned about how hot the Solax inverter becomes especially on hot days. It becomes too hot to touch for more than about 10 seconds. Its on the inside wall in my garage so its always shaded. Is this normal? Allan from Prestons.
