No replies after installation/payment
Has been running since a year, so thought to update the review. So far the system works fine.
I'm giving low rating because they stopped responding to my emails immediately after they finished the installation and got the payment. All I asked them is the warranty papers. Luckily I did not need it so far, but I wonder what will happen if something goes wrong to be fixed under warranty, will they respond and fix it! I hope I will not need it but for a 25 years warranty better to have some formal papers.
Totally misguided and time waster
Took advance by giving wrong information, solar not installed in 9 months and worse parts have not returned advance taken despite written request and phone calls. Useless staff never response calls.
Solar power nation provide good service. I am pleased with the quick and accurate solar panel installation as well as the great and kind service that you and your crew provided for us.
October 21st 2019 Update: Very Disappointed
The solar inverter that they installed has been acting faulty and its always blinking red, i tried to contact them many times for almost a month and they always respond with -we will call you back in 2 days- however they never called me back and this has been repeatedly occurring for the last month ...with me calling them 2 times a week for 4 weeks straight. I am utterly disappointed in their lack of service because all I am asking for is help to fix the problem however they are still unable to provide me with the technical help to do so. So i do not recommend Solar Power nation to anybody because if they are unable to fix a problem that i have been requesting to be fixed for a long time then they are not worth anyones time.
Really bad after-sales service. Faulty inverter unresolved
I was originally impressed with this company with the solar power panel system that I got a second one for my daughter.
Now I am pulling my hair out. This is because there is zero after-sales support. I am even having issues with Solar Power Nation honouring the terms of the warranty.
This is my problem. One of the 5 Kw Goodwe inverters failed within days of installation. It is supposed to be a brand new inverter. Solar Power Nation reassured me they will attend to the matter promptly. But this solar power panel System was installed a...lmost 6 month ago and Solar Power Nation is dragging its feet. It has come to the stage that there is now no communication as Solar Power Nation ignores the emails sent to them. Buyers beware. It is generally a good system with generally good installers, but Solar Power Nation will not honour the warranty for replacement of defective 5 Kw Goodwe inverter. If the solar panels were to fail, I don't think they would honour the warranty for the solar panels too.
Worst ever customer service... Do not recommend to anyone...
Worst ever customer service experienced in my life...With solar power nation... I will not recommend solar power nation to anyone...unless you want a stressful experience and willingly seeking to get into trouble...Even if you make a deal with Solar Power Nation unknowingly...the solar panels won't work properly, as Solar Power Nation does not install and connect the meter properly.
I have signed the contract with Solar Power Nation in September 2018, they have agreed to install the solar panels in 4-6 weeks. Maximum 10 weeks time. But they g...ave silly reasons like they could not get in touch with the installers and could not organise with in the agreed time. After a stressful and annoying chase of 5 months with Solar Power Nation, finally they have organised the solar panels to be installed at my property in February 2019. Even then they did not installed it properly. I have been receiving the same electricity bills as before. After having a discussion and check up with my electricity retailer, they have advised me that the solar panels have not been installed properly by Solar Power Nation. I was chasing up Solar Power Nation with this issue since 4 weeks, but no one responded till now. Every time I contact them over the phone, someone will answer it and says that they will escalate this issue and someone will act on it immediately... unfortunately this will never happen... Initially I have mentioned my issue with [name removed], she did not respond to the issue. she has assigned it to [name removed] (Regional operations manager) also not responded and never reply back to my calls. [name removed] then assigned it to [name removed]. No response from [name removed]..Again [name removed] allocated to [name removed]...no response from them too...I'm really Fed up with their customer service They only respond well to receive money...Once they receive their money, they will never respond to customers enquiries and problems...Very shame on you solar power nation...Stop playing silly games and please start serving customers, as you operate a business...It is your responsibility to provide good customer service...Not only focusing on money making....You should also need to provide good customer service... Do not deal a business with solar power nation....The worst company to deal with.... Really fed up with their service...

It took them 9 months to install the solar panel at my property.
First day they promised me that it would take 6 weeks but it took them 9 months and I had to call them 4 to 6 times a week
Signed quote and sent through all the info on May 27 2019. At (sales) start communication was pretty good. Over the course of 2,5 months I had 2 phone calls confirming an installation date. On 2 occasions, no one showed up. Two days of leave gone. No one answers or replies to phone calls or emails ...
I signed up & paid deposit 30th of May, South Australian Power Authority (SAPN) had an issue but I got it sorted myself for Solar Power Nation and approval was granted to SPN on June 25th.
Another month later and multiple calls/emails over the past couple of weeks have had no replies to notify even if an installer has been allocated and panels/inverter available for install.
Very poor installation and very very bad service after installation.
Installation done incorrectly. No cares to come and fix the issue. Very bad service after installation. It has been more than 8 months still the issue has not been resolved
Good Installers, good product but bad after sales service. Mercenary behaviour. I feel used.
Good 6.6 Kw system. Good installers. But the solar company itself don't care about you after the installation. My uncle organised for the solar system to be installed on my behalf. I have a disability. I was born with Spina Bifida. At some point the installers advised my uncle that the installation location was not ideal due to lots of shade from trees. They got my uncle to sign a document to acknowledge the installation location will not generate much electricity. My uncle signed with the belief that tree removal/trimming will rectify the prob...lem. My uncle requested a letter from the solar company so I can give to the local Council to identify which trees will need to be removed/ trimmed. I'm still waiting for it. Recently, my uncle discovered that the tree removal/trimming will not fully solve the shading problem. Today my Uncle called the solar company and asked if they would relocate half of the panels to another part of the roof where tree removal/trimming will greatly improve panel electricity generation. My uncle said that he will pay for their work. The solar company flat out refused, or if they agreed, it was on the condition that they would charge a price equal to purchasing a new 6.6 Kw solar power system. As the Goodwe inverter has two MPPTs, my uncle suggested that the solar company could disconnect the existing solar panels from one of the MPPTs and that my uncle would purchase an additional 11 panels from the solar company so that they could be installed in a different part of the roof, and then connected to the MPPT of the existing Goodwe inverter. The solar company refused. They said they will only come back to my house if I purchase another complete system. The people in this solar company are greedy mercenaries. I feel used. August 21s2019 Update: Once Bitten Twice Shy Solar power Nation told me that they would help me out if I deleted my review. I believed them and I did so. What an idiot I was. Since writing my original review I discovered that the Goodwe inverter Solar Power Nation installed was faulty from the very beginning. After many fake promises, Solar Power Nation has done nothing to assist me. They have not even honoured the warranty for the faulty inverter because no one has come to replace it.
Possibly the most unreputable company to deal with!
Completed a signed contract on the 26th of February 2019 for the installation of a 6.6kw system to an inner Brisbane home. After eight weeks of waiting, I contacted the company to see when our installation was scheduled and they informed me that the installer was having personal problems. I am sorry that this was the case, but I hardly see what that has to do with a professional business providing the services they were required to deliver. I requested a refund of the deposit but was informed the contract allowed them ten weeks to install. Wel...l, we are in late May and no installation and no refund of the deposit, despite communicating with them with no response. I think I might have dodged a bullet by not having them install solar at our residence.
Worst company ever
I had my panels installed 10\4. Was told by installer would receive safety certificate in approximately 10 days. Now 5 weeks later still no certificate, unable to connect to grid or claim back rebate. Call the company no one returns calls get told lies by staff. Worst customer service I have come across! Never been treated so bad by conceited arrogant staff. About to start legal action through consumer affairs. Stay away from this company.

Installation never got completed
After my post here , i had a number of follow ups from Solar power nation and finally got my panels installed but again they dropped the ball - No paperwork provided after installation hence i am not connected to the grid not able to apply for Govt rebate which should have completed Oct / Nov 2018 .

I had a really good start . But as the installation process progressed , i started seeing issues . Lot of miscommunication between the contractors & workers . Couple of times , they never showed up . Half job finished and they never showed up after that . No updates after several follow up . Not at all satisfied with their service. They were all good until they got the contract signed off.
The worst experience ever
I will not recommended then to anyone . I put deposit in October2018. They were supposed to install my solar system b4 Christmas last year . But they keep saying they don’t have this in stock they don’t have that in stock. We don’t have these panels in stock we will give u that pannel . We don’t have this inverter.
I book my system in October 2018 and now its nearly May 2019 they still haven’t install my system
The installers just rocked up, i wasnt even notified of the date. After it was all installed my power company said they cant install the solar meter because the meter box needs to be upgraded. Be careful if you have an older style house 1960s built. SA power and the electricians said it needs rewiring from the street to meet current standards. They all said that Solar Power Nation should have told me this before installation but just wanted the money. Until i come up with the money for a massive electrical overhaul upgrade to my house i have so...lar panels just sitting on my roof that im unable to use. The energy and water ombudsman said its out of their jurisdiction. Im seriously considering contacting A Current Affair to warn others of this fraudulent practice.

As you probably are aware from my review I am having serious issues with my system and the service that is being provided I have being lied to multiple times promises made and not met i need someone to take action and responsibility rather than passing the blame constantly and nothing been done,
Why has no one bothered to respond to any of my calls or emails.
Your installers have damaged my roof and gutters, I have provided photos many emails to SPN. I have also provided the quote by a roofing company last week as requested by Neel.
This company is a joke, how did they get their licence to trade in Australia?
We would like to inform you that there were minor dents on the roof, but you wanted us to change the whole color bond sheet which is not possible for us. We have offered to fix the issue regarding the scratches on the gutter but got no response from your side. We want to get this fixed, if you give us confirmation about the same.

SPN has dented/damaged my new roof panels, and to large dents the size of my fist I might add, this not a simple tiny dent as you can see by the quote I have provided you with.
Please send an independant roofer from a reputable company to inspect and quote should you feel this is unjust??

My suggestion is to have a competent employee not N.D call me asap, preferably from your management team, should you indeed have one over there.
Your offer of $100.00 was only for the scratches to my gutters, I have not negated this offer I welcome this $100 but, SPN seems to be missing a few too many screws up stairs ?? You need to offer me the additional $650.00 to cover the full cost of the repairs for all the damages that was done.

We would like to inform you that there were minor dents on the roof (yes I am aware these are dents caused by your company??) but you wanted us to change the whole color bond sheet ( because there is no other way to repair these dents that I am aware of??) which is not possible for us (why is this not possible??)
