Excellent service from start to finish
I fully recommend Solomon’s, their price is competitive and the product is high quality. The staff are excellent from Joe and Cheryl from the Office and Reece and Mitch the installers all are friendly and efficient.
Extremely positive experience !
We can not recommend Solomon’s highly enough. The recent installation of our plantation shutters exceeded our expectations and so thrilled with the finished product and appearance. We have a mixture of fixed, sliders and bifolds which merge seamlessly to create a beautiful extension. Huge shout out to Adrian for a streamlined installation, incredibly professional and his attention to detail was second to none.
Extremely dissatisfied with the lack of service and communication.
Liz measured incorrectly and did not record our request for wands only. Blinds arrived (3 weeks later) did not fit the window and had chains NOT wands. Items sent back, told a new installation date, were not installed on that date (another 2 weeks). Rang to complain, spoke with Joe (Manager) who was initially helpful, said would call the following day after determining why we did not receive our order. No call, I rang them late afternoon requesting a return call - none received. Called the following Monday requesting to speak with Joe, was advised blinds to be installed the following Friday but there was no consultation regarding my availability. Still waiting to hear from Joe.

I cannot recommend Solomon’s highly enough. I have been extremely happy with all stages from initial quote to installation. A very streamlined, friendly and efficient service.
Solomon's installed the wrong product. Replacement then separated off the wall. Never a single apology from Solomon's. I would not recommend this company to anyone looking for blinds or awnings.

Just a big shout out to Paul Bremner and the team at One Solomons on their outstanding service and delivery. Our house is now finished and we couldn't more pleased with the results. Good to see that care and attention hasn't been lost.
Fantastic company to deal with
We had a new security screen fitted to a window, to match others previously installed by Solomon's, and also some maintenance to sliding doors and a single back door. Solomon's are efficient, reliable and very professional. The staff are friendly and very good at what they do. We really appreciated all the communication about dates and times the technicians would be available, and also a call when they were on their way. Thank you Solomon's. I can highly recommend Solomon's as a great company to deal with.

Plantation sliding shutters fitted in my lounge room are terrific and really complete the modern look I was wanting.

Solomons Cleveland Terrible Customer Service
Solomons Cleveland initial consultant was helpful and polite. We paid 40% up front to lock in the quote. Told we had to have a Check Measurer who would arrive “after 9am” on a particular day. He didn’t arrive until almost 3pm so we spent entire day waiting. Turns out he had 17 other customers all over Brisbane before us. If someone had told us this we would not have spent an entire day waiting. A simple text half an hour before arrival would have helped— but they gave us no advanced warning. I rang to ask and they couldn’t give us an approx arr...ival time other than “after 9am”. The day of install was booked and we paid a further 40% in good faith 2 days prior. No one arrived to install. We have since called 3 times to ask why - none of the staff know anything and the manager took 3 days to call back. There seems to be zero communication amongst staff. I do not know how this company survives? I do not recommend Solomons Cleveland Brisbane Eventually 10 days later the blinds were installed and the installer did a good job. The extra 4 screens I had ordered just didn’t arrive. I have called and asked to speak to the manager Joe who does not return calls. Yesterday they emailed and asked for the final payment. There is no communication in Solomons between staff and customer service goes by the wayside. 3weeks later the manager finally returned my calls/email. As we are now moving house and travelling I was unable to pick up. He is now (still) implying the fault was ours and not theirs. It’s impossible to convince him they need to lift their game and return phone calls and pass on messages re orders. A simple system of texting or calling to let the customer know the approx time of arrival would help. I simply do not recommend Solomons Cleveland.
Knowledgeable consultant Ms Rads
Consultant Rads was very friendly and patient, gave valuable advice and replied to my questions in a very expedient manner.
Outstanding service and excellent quality
A few months ago I had external shutters installed and was lucky enough to meet Liz who is an excellent consultant. She was far superior to the other two reps who I had sourced competitive quotes through - and so was the product! The Solomons systems are great, the installers were super careful and the shutters are stylish and beautifully made. In fact I have now engaged Liz to have installed an awning as well. I anticipate the same seamless process and excellent outcome. Lis is simply a cut above.
If I could give a lower rating I would.
Lady who came out for the initial consultation was charming. However, after you commit to the quote and pay your deposit, all customer service goes away. Similarly to over reviews, they cannot commit to correct appointment times. We were booked in for a Wednesday measurement, they didn't turn up and we were told that the appointment was actually for Friday and that it was my fault for getting the wrong date. It was in fact the receptionist who told me the wrong date. Manager was incredibly rude, leading me to tears as my partner took the day of...f (losing pay) to be at home for measurements. When the fitter came, he said the installation had been booked for the next Wednesday. Wrong again, we had booked for the Thursday and apparently that wasn't communicated to the installer. Glad we confirmed. However, I took the day off work to be here for installation and they called my an hour before they are meant to turn up and say they cannot make it. Again, reducing me to tears as to how unempathetic the manager was. I had to take the day off work to be here for the installer, losing a days pay. So now, we are out 3 days full pay because Solomons can't get their appointments right. When the man came out to install the screens, the measurements were taken incorrectly by the previous contractor so he wasn't able to fit one window. When your job is to take measurements how can you get something so wrong? Honestly, I do not feel like a valued customer and after this installation, I will never contact them again.

My wife and I are moving into our new house and we are in need of get security screens installed. We had Paul Bremner this morning to provide us a free measure quote. His customer service was absolutely top notch. His explanation was clear and concise, his recommendation was personal and non-biased. At no point did I feel any pressure to say YES to getting them to do my security screens. Paul is very personable and lovely to chat to!
After a thorough discussion with my M...rs (already had number of quotes from other companies), we have decided to go with Solomon's Security & Blinds. I must say I am already excited to see the finishing products with these guys. Thank you Solomon! Thank you Paul!

Questions & Answers
Payment of security doors before being installed, is this normal practice? We've paid a deposit then get told a further deposit of funds is required before installation can be done? I wasn't aware of this practice and feel very uncomfortable, uneasy paying for something that you haven't got isn't right.
You pay for the company to order the doors upfront in case you cancel the contract and the company are left with security door and windows that only fit your home & it’s to cover part of their loses in case you decide not to go ahead.

It is standard across the industry for a pre-delivery payment to be made. Typically this is only required once the product is manufactured and usually the day before the install is scheduled to occur. The remaining balance is then payable upon satisfactory completion. These amounts should all be detailed on your quote.
It's similar to buying custom made furniture where usually a deposit is paid and then the balance paid prior to the furniture being delivered to your home.
