How do I connect my soundbar to S55UV16A-AU as just plugging in HDMI isn’t working
It will not work with hdmi as the tv has neither hdmi ARC Nor hdmi CEC BOTH are required to have a soundbar work just with hdmi. The only option (which isn't a bad option ) is to connect your soundbar via optical. And you will have to turn the soundbsr on and off and control the volume with the soundbars remote . To get technical -Hdmi ARC Is what sends the sound from the tv to the soundbar via the hdmi cable Hdmi CEC is what makes a soundbar work as one with your tv . Turn your tv on or off and the soundbar also turns on and off. Same with volume Your tv has neither of those features I'm sorry to say

We purchased a Soniq S55UV16B-AU smart TV late last year.
In general I feel it's good value for the money... though:
1) it did not include a hard-copy manual (i.e. printed version)... the manual instead being an electronic version stored in the TV, which seems unable to be referred to whilst attempting to follow instructions, and
2) the remote is not particularly 'user friendly'... particularly for Netflix.
I’ve searched on-line, including on the Soniq website... trying to download a manual to print for reference. Though all I can find is an 8-page Quick Reference Guide.
Does anyone know:
a) from where I can download the full manual,
b) or how to copy it from the TV to a USB stick,
c) and if there are any remote control instructions for using Netflix (the remote and TV functions seem very user ‘unfriendly’, as I cannot use the on screen menus, etc.)

Hi Brad, I can try to answer question C and the answer may cover the need for your other questions. So, with TVs like Soniq and other such ones, the smart TV means it connects to the internet, that's it - you dont have a good set of apps or good user experience. So, there is no remote control that would help in this situation as the TV remote is not built for a good user experience. Smart TV is just a feature that is there but, essentially, cannot be utilised. I struggled with the stuff you mentioned in your post and realized that it's much better to go with a Chromecast and cast your choice of apps or pretty much anything else to your TV. With the Chromecast, you can use it with any TV that is not smart as well. Hope this helps in some way. All the best.
I use a USB mouse to navigate Netflix and it works fine ($20 on ePay oops eBay) Also you should have no problem downloading Netflix from a NON-Google App Store as SONIQ don’t support google app store apps.

Hi I've had my to replaced because of a faulty tuner and I just set up my new one yesterday. Tonight I turned on my to and it's started getting jumping in and out of the channel with black and white lines then wouldn't change channels at all now it's not even on Xbox the HDMI is doing the same thing is anyone had similar issues ?

Hi Balwinder S connecting your smart phone, tablet, iPhone, all you need is firstly, is to buy a Chromecast USB dongle ideally the 4k one which is about $90...then you just plug into back of you of your smart tv...plug n play...them you can watch anything and everything eg Netflex, Stan, You Tube...Also FYI as the Soniq remote for smart tv is a bit clumsy especially when say doing a Google search, buy yourself a Logitech Bluetooth Wireless Keyboard & Mouse K220, Kmart have for $29...plug n play...sit back and enjoy surfing the net and watch your fav show etc on your big tv...way to go....trust the above helps...Cheers
