Broke down after only 2 years
Beware, after the warranty is up (1 year) this system cannot be fixed if anything goes wrong. You have basically done your money, so think carefully before buying this product. The CD player broke down after only 2 years. Sony think it is the laser reading component. This unit has been used by only one person (me) and has not received any bumps or falls, so expectations that it would last more than 2 years are not unreasonable. Best stay away. Sony simply said sorry, there was nothing they were required to do.
For quality digital audio, this is worth the money
AM reception in our area is woeful, so after some investigation we decided to try digital audio (DAB+). After looking at a number of different units we chose this Sony as we could connect our Walkman MP3 player and phone and it had the advantage of a CD player as well. We're delighted with the DAB+ radio reception and the sound quality - clear, with no fade out and we can finally listen to all stations without the constant crackle and continual re-tuning.
