One of the best!
I purchased my Sony MDR-NC600D headphones about 6 months ago and they are superb! Outstanding sound, quality build and the best noise cancelling function of any similar type of headphones I’ve owned or used in the past. It’s a pity Sony no longer sells this model ([url removed]), but luckily they’re still available from a few online sellers. They don’t come cheap, but if you willing to pay the price, you won’t be disappointed!
Great sound, quality build.
Not sold in Australia, therefore warranty service, if needed, could be a problem.
Smooth, natural sound
This is the sleeper of noise-canceling phones. I have these and Bose QC 15s and for me there is no contest in terms of sound quality. The Bose cans have overemphasized mid-bass and a rather rough midrange. The Boses sound impressive at first, especially with instrumental music, but vocals are edgy and unpleasant. The Sonys, by contrast, sound plain at first, and perhaps a bit muted in the mid-highs (compared to my Beyer DT 990s), but the mids are smooth and transparent, with solid and in exaggerated bass. The soundstage is wide and natural with...much better imaging than the Boses. Build quality is very good, and comfort for me has been excellent. Mine are almost three years old and have held up well. While the battery does not last as long as the Bose the fact that it is rechargeable is a big plus. Noise cancelling on the Sonys is slightly less efficient than on the Boses, but in practice I find the difference negligible. As they are the same price as the Boses I seriously recommend a trial if you are in the market for noise canceled with excellent audio quality. Smooth, transparent sound, good build quality Expensive
