Amazing noise cancelling
These headphones have the best noise cancelling, and are very comfortable. The only negative for me was that the sound is bass heavy, even when I adjusted the settings in the app to the brightest setting. I prefer the more neutral sound of the Bose.

Does the job
Bought to accommodate my Lyric in the ear hearing aids for listening to Spotify and video messages/YouTube. Very comfortable if a bit heavy. Excellent sound using adjustments. Easily transported in the robust case. Great battery life. I’ve found the over the head support gets hot after prolonged use.
Purchased in December 2019 at JB Hi-Fi.

Is it worth it?
Pros:
Comfort: It's ver comfortable - it fits me very well - very light so any prolonged wear (over 2hr period) this head phone won't give you a headache
Set up: Easy, especially if you have an Andriod phone - would not recommend for iphone - just doesn't connect properly which is a shame
Noise cancellation: of the head phone 4.5/5 - I vacuum - I can barely hear it
If you're just studying and don't want to necessary listen to music - can turn on ambient sound which drowns out most back ground noise
Very good battery life: - so far I've only had it for about 3 weeks and using it about 5 hours daily

Good quality
I had to replace my Dr Dre headphones since it was so old. These headphones have great sound quality! Much better than the Apple ones I used to own and much more comfortable to wear too.

Great headphones
Let’s start with the negatives because that’s what people care about
-the name, when ever I’m trying to recommend these to someone I cannot remember the name Trivial I know but trying to talk about something you enjoy when you can’t remember it’s name it painful.
- the touch/swipe controls really not a fan , Constantly find my self Having to redo a swipe command and rely on my phone control where ever possible just doesn’t register your actions or the actions are so precise it gets it wrong , a good example to skip a song you swipe west to e...Read more
ast horizontally but in reality Most people’s arm mechanics go more south west to north east ie diagonal up . -lastly I have trouble setting the equaliser, everyone knows what bass is what mods are and what treble is very few people could listen to a song and say oh it’s too high at 4000 hz it’s a nice ability if you are a hard core audiophile but most people just want to say turn bass up or down and I think a basic bass, mid, treble equaliser would suit most people better , The noise cancelling, the truth it’s too good it’s almost unsafe , I put these headphones on 1/4-1/3 volume and I’m So isolated from the world I can’t hear my footsteps , traffic or anything amazing sitting it a safe place doing what it’s designed for like a train but walking around I could argue it works so well it’s almost a safety hazard. I know it can be turned off or adjusted but I could walk in front of a car and wouldn’t hear it coming not really a negative but testament to how well it works and a word of caution.Purchased in May 2020.

Really cool pair of headphone
This is my first pair of over ear headphone after my 10 years old wired ear buds snaps in 2 pieces due to old age of the wiring. Was skeptical whether I should spend this much on a head phone but I really wanted a true wireless good quality headphone or earbuds but don't want to worry about battery which this headphone excel along with many other features.
the noise cancelling is good and comfortable, I can still hear some noise but it's won't distract you from what you are listening ( note: i don't blast with high volume ). It sounds great wit...Read more

Confused.
I'm comparing these Sony's to a set of Sennheiser 4.50hd headphones that I "lost" a month ago on a trip interstate. Considering you can get a set of my old Sennheisers at JB hifi for about $130 at the moment you would hope that the Sony headphones would be a big step up.
So, I guess I'm going to pick out the features of the Sony headphones and compare them to the much cheaper (now) Sennheiser headphones.
1. Sound Quality
The most important thing with any set of headphones is the quality of sound.
For me it's a tie, the Sony's have a richer sound but overdo it on the bass.

Good sound and great noise cancelling.
As many other reviewers have noted these headphones do sound great, and the active noise cancelling works fantastically well.
Call quality is only OK - good enough but not great, but really - who cares? As long as I can hear them and they can hear me, then that's all I really need.
Sound quality is pretty good, but not as good as, say, my Sennheiser Momentum 2 cans, (as a comparison). Bass can be a bit muddy at times.
Also, as with all Bluetooth headphones I've tried, they don't really go very loud. Certainly nowhere near as loud as a pair o...Read more
f headphones plugged in to your home stereo system. The only other gripe is I do find them a little tight on the head - the "clamping pressure" is a little too firm for my comfort. Overall I really like these headphones - they are pretty comfy, sound pretty good and are very effective at noise cancellation.Purchased in March 2020 at JB Hi-Fi for A$399.00.

One of my 1st world essentials
I love music but I hate noise!
Actually I must suffer Misiphonia look it up and laugh). With this diagnosis in mind and having two young and very noisy children I was getting agitated not being able to enjoy my rather expensive and dearly loved hifi system. I needed a solution and noise canceling headphones were the answer.
I have 2 sets of nose hifi speakers I’ve had for over 20 years so Bose was where my heart was leaning but reading reviews and a little test driving and Sony was the winner.
I love these things, the noise canceling means I ca...Read more

The noise cancelling is unreal
Bluetooth and App
Connecting them to my phone was easy as, all I had to do was turn them on and go into the sony app (has lots of features) to connect, and that was it! For those unaware, these headphones support LDAC which is sony's proprietary Bluetooth codec, supported on most new Android phones, otherwise, AptX or AptX HD (sorry Apple, you don't support any of these) and it had me a bit confused on how to set it up. Turns out all you have to do is go into settings and enable it manually (in my case at least). This will stream a higher quali...Read more

Great NC headphones, as long as you don't take calls with 'em
my first premium headphone. I was a bit apprehensive to spend so much on a headphone but now I am glad I did. The noise cancellation is pretty awesome and there is nothing to complain about the sound quality. I like my songs with extra bass and the headphone delivers on it. The build is pretty solid and feels premium.
But a couple of pet peeves...
1. Ears get warm with prolonged use
2. The voice guidance completely mutes the audio which can be very annoying when you are on a call and the headphone changes profile.
Edit: I was so awestruck wit...Read more
h these that I never bothered to check how these performed for phone calls and I was more than disappointed to see that it sucks. It sucks so bad that I don't use them for calls anymore. If taking calls is with these are a priority I would advise you to steer clear of these.Purchased in May 2019 at Sony Physical store for A$349.00.

Great noise cancelling, only problem is...
Great pair of headphones with amazing sound, deep bass and world class noise cancelling. Top in class headphone. Few issues... Firstly it doesn't have capability to pair with 2 devices simultaneously which is a slight hassle when switching between devices. Secondly, I personally feel it gets quite warm after 45 mins of continuous use, depending on how sensitive you are to heat - may or may not be a deal breaker. Overall the best noise cancelling headphones in the market now hands down.

Great sound and very comfortable
Noise cancellation is great, even if you are not listening to music etc.
The only downsides is the headphones don't save your EQ settings from the app and you can only have 1 device paired to them over bluetooth, so it is a bit of a pain switching between PC and phone.

Great sound quality. But a bit too heavy for me.
Great sound. Great Bluetooth connection. No issue with the product. I'm just not very used to wear a relative heavy headset for a long time. I prefer the in-ear ones. Just personal choice.

Very Good but could be improved
I've owned (and still own) Bose Noise Cancelling headphones - the QC-15 (now 6 years old) and the QC-35-II, and love them both. Bought the QC-35's because they're wireless, but the QC-15 is still going strong. I use them for work (phone calls) and listening to music, including on flights.
A colleague has the WH-1000 and was lyrical about it. I saw them at at JB-Hifi so tried them on, and they immediately felt very comfortable: evidently my ears are large, so they don't quite fit inside the QC-35's cups. The Sony's cups are a tiny bit larger so ...Read more

Better than Bose QC35ii
Sound is superior to bose, the features and control on the app is better and more flexible, the noise cancelling and ambient sound are fantastic, light to carry. Build quality has held up so far but not fully convinced at this stage hence the four stars

Hands down, the best ANC headset money can buy.
Pros:
- The ANC is insane. I wear these in the office, and at 30% volume cannot hear conversations next to me.
- Extremely comfortable and lightweight. I get Cervicogenic headaches, and heavy headsets will trigger these headaches. I can wear these for hours without any pain at all.
- The audio quality is good. Not amazing, and on the default profile, the bass is a little heavy. The bright/excited preset is the best for me I've found.
- The battery life is amazing
Cons:
- The microphone leaves a lot to desire. Muffled and hard to hear in high a...Read more
