High-quality sound with X-balanced speakers
Couldn’t have asked for more with a smart tv! We first made the mistake of purchasing a Kogan 55” and it was just awful! Sony Bravia is simple to set up, simple to use, turn motion blurring off if you don’t like it (always the first thing I turn off on a new tv), works quickly between changing inputs, sound is good, picture is amazing and it works really well with my google home! If you want to see what this tv is capable of go to YouTube and search for 4K videos. Wow!! Highly recommend a Sony Bravia.

Worst TV for this price
This is the worst TV anyone can buy at this price.
Motion blurness is the worst thing with this TV. It is so bad that it causes headaches to us.
Bluetooth does not support any audio speaker/headphones.
There are much better options available in market at this price point.

Great picture and the sound is not that bad. The only negative is you can't press a button on the remote to recall the last channel. Apart from that it's all good.

Disappointed after 6 months of use. Constant problems.
Ongoing sound issues since new and more recently App glitches on Netflix, Youtube and Prime Video. I haven't used the digital TV tuner at all so can't comment on that. This is being used as a 100% Smart TV.
Got the the TV in June 2020 and after a couple of weeks of use I noticed my first issue. When the TV has been in standby for a few days and then is turned back on - the audio volume was lower than expected and also that the audio quality was bad - sort of scratchy audio - hard to describe but certainly noticable. I soon figured out that pul...ling the power cord and restarting the TV fixed this issue. Also holding down the green power button on the remote to down a full TV restart always works. It takes a week or two for the issue to come back. If the TV is used daily - not an issue. It is only when left in standby over some time that it comes back (when turned back on). Recently a second issue popped up. Netflix, Prime Video and Youtube are all struggling to play video and audio. Jerking video playback with no audio. Netflix only glitches a little but Prime Video is totally usuable for me lately. It seems the TV can't handle have 3 of these apps in the background. Restarting the TV does not solve the issue. I haven't yet figured out how to individually shutdown each app for further testing. I logged a call with Sony support in October (ref C-0034531591) for the first issue and they advised me to do a full system software reset. This worked for my initial issue (do did starting the TV) and now also works on my more recent issue but what a pain to setup up the TV again everytime this happens. Not happy. Isn't is ironic that I paid a premium for a Sony TV thinking I would get premium sound yet the main issue I'm having with this TV is actual audio. When the TV is not playing up the audio quality and volume is great though. No need for a sound bar. Picture quality is great.

Very good picture, ordinary sound
The TV uses the Android TV OS and was a joy to set up courtesy of giving my life to google via my android phone and google account details. The picture is very good, especially in a dark bedroom. The sound is pretty ordinary though, reminiscent of a large transistor radio, yet intelligible when listening to dialogue but seriously wanting for what should be major sound effects. It is Android TV with all the benefits and a few shortcomings like some functions being hidden away, and others that don't seem to do much. As example there is a sett...ing to update the EPG even when the TV is turned off - but it doesn't. Voice recognition (Hey Google) does a decent job but when it comes to help with the TV a common response is 'I do not know how to do that'. Built in Chromecast and Apple Home just worked and easy to set up, as did connection to 2 DLNA servers. All the annoyances except sound quality are pretty minor. Listen to the sound in the shop, not just the picture! It might be good enough for you, or maybe not.

First class picture and sound, easy to use
I compared this Sony model to comparable, cheaper Samsung and LG models. The LG models were OK but i felt like the picture had TOO much colour / vibrancy and the interface seemed on the slower side. The Samsung picture quality seemed better than LG but I was put off by reviews talking about all the Ads. This Sony KD55X8000H was more expensive but the overall user experience seems superior and the quality is high both visually and to touch - a sophisticated sleek, black, solidly engineered product.

A good TV but not outstanding
Purchased online at Good Guys Commercial for $993 through Union Shopper.
Chose the Sony over the other brands due to previous Sony TV ownership. Good solid reliable TV's. This purchase was to update an older Panasonic in a bedroom.
I managed a Quick comparison with the other brands in another store before deciding on purchase.
Model was kd49x8000h the other model marking on the box was x80h
Set up was straight forward.
TV uses a 19.5v dc large plug pack which makes it more awkward for managing leads on my high swivel wall mount arrangement. Th...
