read before you get SONY
I have purchase this TV 8/09/2020 just after the release,but as soon as I started using problems with it as follow freezing picture switching it self of, going to apps by itself or when it was switch on next day will be only frozen picture from time it was switch off. contacted Sony and I have been instructed to do full reset and check that software is up to date, of course it was, so I was referred to Sony service in Perth, that is completely hopeless I was unable to contact them and unable to leave massage, there was announcement massage bank...full. So I have contacted JB HiFi, after conversation they decided to sent replacement TV, unfortunately my joy was short lived. More problems with new one wouldn't load any APPS, more calls and more waiting, finally I was in touch with Above Electronics, but they refuse to come for repairs because TV was wall mounted. In the end I had take day off to help technician to remove it. After replacing main control panel and loading new software from memory stick TV still refuse to work. contacted JB HiFI again, they agreed to refund my money as no other brand TV was available. I have received full refund 31/12/2020. SONY product I will never touch again and will never endorse it. I am glad that is is finally over, long and stress full process, and I must add also costly, because loss off income to top all this. JB HiFi was extremely helpful and professional, I am extremely happy with staff that help me to deal with all this. Thank you Cannington team.

Dodgy audio, random issues

Audio regularly drops out for half a second - sometimes once a minute, sometimes once every 10 seconds. Sometimes it drops out for 5 to 20 seconds. Rebooting the TV seems to resolve it temporarily. However it usually starts doing it all again within a few hours. This happens both with TV speakers as well as soundbar, and happens consistently across live TV as well as streaming apps.
Update 16 December
3 new audio issues occurring.
1. For the past few weeks, my soundbar no longer has audio when turning on. IE. Tur...n the TV on, soundbar turns on automatically, however there's no sound. This was never an issue before the last firmware update. The only way I've found to rectify this is to power cycle the soundbar.... every....single....time.

worse TV ever the Sony Bravia - XD-65R9000H- avoid
this TV, just bought 26th September, two weeks on, lyes idle and unusable, there is NO decent, clear setup book or a troubleshooting manual, bought the 26th September 2020, today the 16th October 2020, on the 16th October, my review on the JBhi fi site was rejected :), JBhifi has questioned when this unit was bought and Sony have not called us, the sound quality gets worse the longer the TV is on, the HDMI out won't connect to the Foxtel through the Bose soundbar- the closed captions are so out of sync, it's laughable. I will be very ...careful when buying in the future, ANYthing from JBhifi seeking clearer exp[lanation of the warranty and I will definitely avoid a sony TV, forever. I understand that these are electronic and can have issues but not immediately, they shouldn't and not this bad with no support, that is my gripe, that Sony contacted by JB HiFi on the 16th "Apparently" have failed to contact me - if their goods were so good why is their warranty department so busy?

We bought a 65" TV in this model in January 2021. Having trouble with it as it will not save the channels. Each time we turn off TV and turn on again most of the channels are lost and we have to retune. Does anyone have the same issue or know how to rectify the problem?
Has anyone else had issues with this TV picture freezing and rebooting for no reason? Bought it a couple of months ago and had it replaced because it kept turning itself off after the picture froze. Thought it might be because of the breaker power box, but no, the replacement is doing the same thing and it’s plugged straight into the wall outlet.
My Tv used to do the same and many other things I had replacement with many problems later Sony decided to repair without success in the end I shave return TV and purchase Sumsung

Thanks but after paying $5k for a TV I’m not willing to keep turning it of to reboot. Mine does it quite a lot. I’ve contact Harvey Norman to see what they say again as this is my second unit.
Can you record to external hard drive on this tv?
