Bravo, Soulara, for adding an unexpected suspense element to my dining experience. But fear not, for Soulara graciously sent me a compensation package of four additional meals. The irony? All of them had an expiration date that practically screamed, "Eat me now or forever hold your hunger." It's like they're challenging customers to become culinary speed eaters – a talent I didn't know I needed in my life. Now, let's discuss the company's prowess in inventory management, or should I say, the lack thereof. Approximately 50% of my deliveries come with this thrilling surprise of meals on the verge of their own little apocalypse. It's like playing Russian Roulette with your taste buds – will you get a meal that's fresh as a daisy, or one that's in a race against time? In conclusion, if you enjoy living on the edge, with each meal delivery bringing a wave of uncertainty and expiration date surprises, Soulara might be your perfect match. Great flavours; generous offers, which make it much more affordable. Downside is their delivery partner - doesn’t follow instructions, repeatedly; leaves order in unsafe spaces & doesn’t ring my buzzer, even as I’m home waiting for him to arrive. Sometimes the customer service @ Soulara don’t action things timely/before order time cutoff & have gotten things wrong, like saying they refunded a higher amount than they did: they always say, ‘upon checking’ & it’s always been incorrect. And them cutting dishes suddenly - not good at all for a coeliac; there are limited gluten-free options & their salt & pepper tofu was the bomb: please bring it back! Show detailsOrdinary

Everything about Soulara is great except for the portion sizes. They are way too small. Unless you're a 55kg Instagram model on a diet, you can't expect one Soulara meal to be enough for lunch or dinner. I would happily pay a few extra $ for larger meal sizes if you had that as an option, or an add-on of extra rice, dhal, etc. I mean how much do lentils, rice or potatoes really cost wholesale?Other than that, the taste and variety of the meals is great, and delivery is always on time. My first order did not turn up on the delivery date, with no messages to update me. The sms message I received with tracking number did not show any tracking, just order details. I emailed the customer support as no phone numbers available. I did not hear from them till late in the evening to say my order would be delivered the next day. Good range of meals, perfect for days when you can't be bothered cooking. I would buy more except I'm concerned about the sustainability of the packaging, plastic in the delivery box and also the meal containers. It generates a lot of waste. For your concerns with our packaging, Soulara packaging is recyclable and we encourage our customers to do the following: - All our meal containers can be recycled with your normal plastic recycling. Just give them a little wash first then pop them in the recycling bin! - The silver bags all your meals come in can be recycled in a soft plastics bin. - The gel in the ice packs is non-toxic and water-soluble, so it’s perfectly safe to be poured down the sink or into a garden bed. If pouring down the drain, we recommend running some hot water after it to ensure it drains well. - The plastic part of the ice packs can be recycled with your normal plastic recycling. - The cardboard boxes your Soulara meals are delivered in are 100% recyclable! Simply break them up and pop them in the recycling bin.Tasty but slightly too expensive
Good variety of meals, most of them pretty yummy. I recommend trying as many as possible as there are some unexpected favourites. Price point is a bit too high and I’ve had to skip a few weeks when I can’t afford it. Mostly reliable delivery to regional area. Large menu with new items added semi regularly. Some of the food is yum, although majority of the menu I personally do not enjoy. I’ve been a regular customer of Soulara for many months now, purely out of laziness rather than anything else cause I live on my own so can’t be bothered cooking, and other meal delivery companies don’t have many vego options. There are a wide variety of meals on the menu, although I only really like a handful of them and they definitely do not bring out a new meal every week as their website states. I will say that I don’t find their customer service that fantastic. For example, the fact they refuse to reuse their cardboard boxes, exterior bubble wrap or plastic ice blocks for “hygiene” reasons, yet every other food delivery company I’ve used allows this. When you’re ordering 7+ meals a week there is already a mountain of packaging that comes with it so the fact they won’t reuse the exterior packaging (where it’s in tact and clean) seems mad and really makes me question if I should continue to use them. They also refuse to provide a phone number for their customers, so any time there’s a problem you’ve got to take the time to put it in writing and then wait hours/days for a response, and sometimes have to then go back and forth with further questions, when you should just be able to pick up the phone and resolve it super quick. They also have their meals at my Coles now, so would be nice if you didn’t have to have an ongoing subscription and order a whole week in advance, given they seem to have branched out their business model of late. ur menu. Unfortunately, our courier company doesn’t currently provide a recollection of packaging as a service, as much as we would like them to! This is due to preventing the cross-contamination of different foods. However you can recycle Soulara packaging, and we encourage our customers to do the following: - All our meal containers can be recycled with your normal plastic recycling. I love soulara meals! And there is something for everyone but unfortunately since they changed their packaging a couple of years ago from a cardboard sleeve to a sticker sleeve I have seriously reduced my orders as this new system now makes it impossible to recycle any of the packaging (the glue on the sticker sleeve is too strong which means there is too much cross contamination from this strong adhesive on all different packaging components). This might sound pedantic but one of the main reasons for eating vegan is the environment for a lot if people so this seems to beat the purpose a bit… please review your packaging to ensure it can all be recycled properly and I’ll go back to ordering every week! ❤️ Show detailsInconsistent quality and taste

ase we've had in a few years. The cancellation process is streamlined so that customers are able to cancel their accounts before the cutoff day/time. As for meal removals, when a meal is removed, we do notify our customers via email, prior to cutoff time. We would love to understand a little more regarding the marketing emails and receiving a meal once more.
