Wont be back!
Poor quality frames and lenses - thats why they are cheap. Will not be purchasing any products from there again. Staff could not answer my questions about the lenses - they just shrugged and said didnt know the answer and Id have to contact the lab. Useless!
product quality going down
I always purchase monthly contact lenses, product quality were really good, but the recent order arrived, I found that 3 contact lenses broken within 1 month, I won't buy it from Specsavers anymore.
Will not be returning

Specsavers Online: Shocking Cancellation Policy
Ordered contacts online with them. Shocked to find out that you can't cancel your order even immediately just after placing it. Customer service on the phone reiterated "you can't cancel even if you placed your order 10 seconds" ago.
If you are going to have shocking and unusual policies like that, may have them shown at the checkout stage so customers know what they are getting into. Just bizarre.
You know this is 2017 right?
Disappointing experience online
I recently placed an order with Specsavers online for my contact lenses. I have purchased from them before and the price was cheaper than other stores.
I placed my order on 19 Dec, and it then took 2 days for my order to be posted. This meant it was by then the 21st and with the Christmas public holidays (and the surprise Aus Post holiday on Wednesday), I was expecting to receive my parcel by the end of the week. Unfortunately I haven't received my parcel and with no tracking number provided (which I find very poor as all parcels now come w...ith tracking by default, a basic expectation when buying online these days and especially for high value items), I have no idea where it might be. I emailed Specsavers and raised my concerns on the 29th and was sent a response saying that my order had been dispatched (yeah I know that already, I attached the email that told me that) and it 'should' arrive by the end of the week. No further assistance in finding out where my parcel might actually be in the process, just instructed to call if it hadn't arrived, or alternative options provided. Well I did call at 6PM on Friday, and was told by the recorded message that I had called outside of business hours which are "8.30 to 6.30 Monday to Friday". I did call within business hours by Specsavers' own definition and was met with no answer. I'm now without contact lenses until my parcel turns up, and who knows when that might be. Wouldn't purchase from them again.
Placed an order online for contact lenses on 18.05.2016. Still under processing and no update at all..Not very competitive. There is no contact number for customer service. Should have ordered from other supplier.

Don't order online!
I ordered a 3 month supply of contact lenses before my last round of contacts ran out. I'd been pretty happy with the last two orders, as they arrived promptly at the office within 3-5 of placing the order.
This time, I am waiting at least 10 days before checking in with Customer Service. I emailed them twice and received no reply. I then called the Customer Service team and they suggested that perhaps "new posties can sometimes get confused as to where to deliver to." Um, great excuse. Anyway, they suggested a wait a couple more days. In go...od faith, naively decided to wait a couple more days. At this stage, the Customer Service team had returned my email and I explained that I had already spoken to someone on the phone. The email also suggested that I wait another couple of days and then contact them. Needless to say, the contacts did not arrive and it took more faffing about for Specsavers to ask if I wanted a re-order. I agreed and requested that it be sent to my home address this time. Mind you, at this stage more than $200 had been taken out of my account 2+ weeks ago and I still had no product. I then suggested to Customer Service that they also try to recompense me for the inconvenience caused. Customer Service agreed and offered to arrange trial lenses to pick up at my local store, but for this I would have to provide my original prescription to ensure its validity. I pointed odd that this seemed odd, given that you can buy contacts online without providing the script. I suggested that they could look at the contact lens order for the relevant prescription. Anyway, I decided that this was too inconvenient for me considering I now had to dig up a script (I didn't get my eyes checked at Specsavers) and then go into the store to pick them up. I also pointed out the fact that I wear daily disposables so were they going to provide like, 1 pair of trial lenses or what? I also suggested to Customer Service that they could offer me something else by way of compensation and they said they could arrange a 20% off voucher for my next purchase. Why would I even purchase anything from Specsavers again?
Questions & Answers
I have lost the arm to a pair of Carla Zampatti sunglasses. It was broken , the screw came out and it fell off in the street.
I notice specsavers are still selling styles with the same arm. Is it possible to just buy a replacement arm?
if you take it into store a lot of the time they can replace the arm free of charge but it depends on the extent of the damage
How much is it for an eye test and a reasonable pair of prescription glasses for some one 60 years old
will specsavers answer please second comment no response
Eye test is fully covered by medicare but if you are private it’s usually around $70. In regards to price it would depend on whether you are single vision or multifocal and if you want any other lense coatings like superclean or thinning etc.
I have had 2 eye tests done 3 month's apart 1 with Specsavers and 1 with another opticians
They are quite different in results which leaves me wondering who's scrip to use??
I was very unimpressed with Castle Towers Specsavers. The manager seemed professional & helpful when I approached him, but the staff member who was meant to advise me, was completely dismissive. We have been with OPSM for 20 years & had hoped Specsavers might be a little less costly - so I tried them. To no avail - a very disappointing experience, due to staff disinterest!
