Helpful and Friendly
I had an eye test at Westfield Parramatta and happy with their service. A girl helped me to select frames which suites me, and she was very friendly and helpful. I am very satisfied with her service.
However, there is no waiting area upon arrival, so I had to wait outside of the retail shop for a while. That's why I gave 4 stars. Otherwise, I could give 5!
Crazed lenses, they honoured their guarantee
Mandurah Forum Specsavers. Husband bought bifocals in June 2019. From quite soon after pick up he said he couldn't see well through them because the lenses were fuzzy. He thought he imaginedit (!!)until other people told him his glasses looked like crazed pottery. This week (March 2021) he went to an independent optician who told him his glasses were crazed and to take them back to where he purchased them. In the meantime I printed off the two year lense and frame warranty.
Initially today they were not keen to replace the lenses, saying...they had a 3 month, then later a year warranty. I produced the warranty I printed from the internet stating two years and the pleasant staff member we were dealing with took the glasses to her manager for discussion. A short time later we were told that they will indeed replace the crazed lenses free, as per guarantee. Thank you Specsavers Mandurah Forum WA.
Second time no complaints
My first experience with Specsavers at Sunnybank was terrible, but after contact with the store, I was advised to come back and they would replace my glasses. Peter was more than helpful in assisting me to pick out two pairs of attractive frames , if they didn’t suit he told me and this was all I wanted in the first place of selling me glasses that were far to big and kept falling off ! but was told there modern which at my age I really don’t care! So thank you if I wasn’t rushed in the first place and had more assistance like Peter gave , I wouldn’t have been stressed! Take the time to help your clients!
Go Back To Old Fashioned Glasses
Specsavers staff all very helpful and courteous at Greenhills, East Maitland.
Had a large range of glasses to choose from however they all seemed to have a brand name attached to them. I believe this could actually increase the cost of the item using an endorsement by a third party, or the third party now has my email address and I am receiving junk emails from this designer company.
After a few days of wearing the reading and sunglasses it became apparent that they continually kept sliding down my face, especially if looking down to read or ...looking down in general. I returned back to Specsavers and told them of the problem and all that could be done was to tighten the arms on each pair so they gripped the side of my face. That was fine for the first few weeks or so. Looking at the glasses being sold, they appear to no longer making them so they hook around your ears. They no simply sit on your ears, so do not look down quickly, and be prepared to continue to keep pushing them back up into place. Regards, MM.

All's Well That Ends Well
I have read many of the reviews on SSs and many are very negative. Mine initially could have been negative but I worked with SS staff and I am now very happy with my glasses.
This all took place at Shepparton Specsavers and first up I decided I wanted to get new reading glasses and a pair of clear multifocals and sunglasses multifocals. Initially I was a little peeved because my consultant couldn't explain what the costs were which was a little irritating because I was spending $1258 for four pairs of glasses with most of the add ons added on.... When I took delivery after two weeks, the readers were perfect but the clear multifocals had terrible peripheral vision and the sunglasses had already been sent back because the lenses weren't polarized. After accepting the clear pair of multifocals it became apparent on the way home that they were unacceptable. That's where Covid 19 kicked in and the store was not taking any appointments. I cannot blame the store for that but it turned my decision to get new glasses into a saga that I thought would end badly. Well it didn't. When the store was making appointments again I was met by Mel(issa?) who sorted everything out. The prescriptions were perfect but the multifocals had been badly made. Mel who was very professional, organised the new build straightaway but we did it one pair at a time to make sure the problem was remedied first time. The problem was solved and I just took delivery of my sunglasses which were sent express; asked for them to be mailed on Monday picked up next day. They are very good and I am very pleased.
Runaway bay store have been my go to store for years, so helpful, my glasses are always perfect.
I went to Southport once, the glasses were not right.
Went there again recently(closer) as I broke a pair, they told me they weren’t repairable, runaway bay store just replaced the arm, good as new.

Hadn't been to a Specsavers but was previously going to an Eye Clarity. I saw a two-for-one deal at Specsavers that I wanted to follow up on as Eye Clarity (EC) didn't offer that and I had walked out of an EC earlier thinking that the specs I needed were just way too expensive i.e. tri-focals. Ultimately I really wanted to get both bi-focals AND tri-focals as well but the huge cost of one meant I had to choose between them. This is where Specsavers market power really kicked in. For the price of the tri-focals at EC I was able to ge...t both sets instead and be issued with a "golden ticket" to come back with within 6 months and get my next purchase at 50% off. That will mean at least $300-$400. But that's not the only reason why I chose to purchase. The store I went to was really well setup, smoothly operated and staffed by very nice people. This wouldn't happen everywhere but at the Sunbury store the girls stood out as being caring and dedicated to you and the task. There's a well defined hand-over process when you're there to investigate and ultimately commit to lenses and frames. Different people will take over each step of the process that leads from investigation, testing of eyes, fitting to face, requirements and purchase . In my case, this seemed professional and timely. I will go back with the golden ticket to get more product and test the process once more. At this stage it's hard to see why I would change out.

Shop assistant very pleasant and helpful.Eye test very thorough and was given lots of information about my eyes.Was informed there was little or no change in my prescription,that I did NOT need new glasses.
No high pressure sales here I left the store happy with the way I was treated and without new specs.
Value for money, helpful staff
I've taken advantage of spec savers two for one deal for some years now.
Over the years I've had some great glasses, my much loved Tommy Hilfiger prescription sunglasses being one.
I love the free after sales fixit service, after I've sat on my reading glasses.
Having said this, I've noticed the frames I've got of late seem to be a bit on the cheap side.
Unexpected warranty service
Both pairs of my daughters glasses had broken in the same spot. The arms had come of the hinge pins. I was expecting to have to pay to have new arms put on as the last time this happened I was informed that it was her fault as she wasn't taking them off correctly, shes's 9 and has special needs so I was ready to tell them that it would be the last time I was coming back. So when Iwent in to the Cranbourne VIC store and was stunned when the very nice lady didn't even bat an eyelid when telling me that they would order a new arm for one pair but ...as the other pair were no longer in stock we could pick out a complete new frame at no cost. This example of customer service has been enought to keep me as a customer. My only complaint would be the quality of the frames. My daughter is not rough with them at all but they never seem to last as long as I think they should and for the cost of them they really should put a bit more emphasis on durability.

I’m surprised that when I went into spec savers to have a broken arm on my glasses repaired they couldn’t offer the original arm but a non matching one. Surely this a spare part that should be easily obtainable
The thread attaching one arm of my glasses has already worn away after only 5 months, can I get replacement frames?
