Absolutely disgusting service and horrible product
This company are the worst company I have ever dealt with. I bought my pump back in April of 2020, the pump started having suctioning issues in June of 2020. I contacted the team at spectra who insisted there was nothing wrong and that I needed new parts, I sent a video through and they still told me to buy new parts. I am also having issues with the battery which started in July of 2020. They told me to log the battery hours and after logging the hours the pump will only last 90 minutes off charge as opposed to lasting for 3-4 hours (as stated...Read more
on their website). After messaging them several times because they were reading my messages but ignoring, they blocked me and now I have no way of contacting them! They are a disgusting company... Do not make the same mistake I did. They are a money hungry business who do not care about their customers. The moment you have an issue with your pump they will dismiss it and then eventually block you, all you have to do is read the other hundred reviews that are stating the same thing. Their reviews on their website are fake. Do not trust this company they will rip you off. They claim the pump comes with warranty but that is a lie. Unfortunately, I learnt the hard way and have been blocked. This company isn't even registered for GST! They are dodgy. Fair trading NSW will be contacted tomorrow and I will not hesitate to fill a court claim. Good luck to them.. They're going to need it. I wont stop until I get what I deserve.Purchased in April 2020 at birth partner for A$372.00.

Horrible customer service: blocked me
Terrible company: avoid this company at all costs. pump became very weak and The battery life decreased under the guaranteed battery life. We were well within our consumer rights to get a warranty claim however this company ignored my messages and then blocked me. I have never dealt with a company like this my entire life. How desperate can they be for more. I will be taking my claim to NCAT. Disgusting people and I will be ensuring the word spreads. AVOID AT ALL COSTS
Purchased in January 2020.

Horrible customer service!! Constant same issue with their pumps!
Horrible customer service! When asked to speak to the manager after the poor service i was blocked! I wrote a letter and was never responded to!
After just over year, the pump died. It would make a ticking noise and then off. They sent a loan pump which did the same thing and made me prove it was the pump and not my brand new parts! Didnt seem empathetic to the fact I exclusively pump to feed my daughter and was very upset as my supply dropped dramatically. Forced to give formula now
My milk never came back to its full capability that it was ...Read more
before my pump broke and now 2 months later, my pump is dead again. In my opinion i should either receive a brand new pump or a full refund of the receipt price. To have the same issue in 2 different pumps in only 3 months is shocking.Purchased in May 2019.

Find out how Spectra S1 Hospital Grade Double Electric compares to other Electric Breast Pumps
Know better, choose better.
Worst customer service
I waited months to order this pump. I finally order it on sale with the storage bags and they fail to mention at the time of ordering that the storage bags will arrive after 1 January 2020, so I order the pump and boxes of the storage bags and then Im told after I submit the order to just sit back and wait until after 1 January 2020 for my breast pump as well. My baby is due soon and had I have known, I wouldnt have made the order. Spectra then proceed to tell me they cant deliver the pump without the bags, they need to reverse the entire order...Read more
, I then need to pay another $330 and re-order it. The customer service was terrible and extremely unhelpful. Do not buy from this site. Misleading and deceptive advertising. Save your money and time and buy elsewhere.1 comment

Highly impractical: Must air dry parts. Impossible when pumping every 2-3hrs! And $672+ in replacement parts every year!
My wife can't breastfeed, for reasons I won't mention here, so she borrowed this pump from a friend, but she purchased all the accessories new. This pump is highly impractical. The instruction manual says you must air dry all parts after washing and everything must be 100% dry before using for the next session. Otherwise, if you don't air dry everything, the backflow protector will be wet and moisture will get inside the tube and pump motor. Once moisture gets inside, bacteria and mould can grow inside the tube and the pump motor, so you'll hav...Read more
e to buy a whole new pump for $379. When you're pumping every 2-3 hours like my wife is, it is impossible for the parts to air dry in 2-3 hours, especially in the winter, at night, on a hot and humid day, or on a rainy day. And if you actually air dry the parts, then they are no longer sterile. So basically, you can never have sterilised parts when using this pump. Another point is that you have to replace the duck valves every 3-4 weeks if you're using the pump more than once a day or even earlier if you're sterilising. And you also have to replace the backflow protectors every 6-8 weeks if you're using the pump more than once a day, and again, even earlier if you're sterilising. The duck valves are $14 a pair and the backflow protector is $14 each, so $28 for a pair. Then you have to consider postage fees on top. If you're replacing the duck valves every 2 weeks and the backflow protectors every month, you're basically spending $56 + postage per month, or $672 + postage per year. Cost of replacement parts per year is more than buying a brand new pump itself! As you can imagine, this is highly impractical and very expensive!Purchased in March 2019.

I don’t understand what all the fuss is about...
Ordered this after reading all the great reviews. Item arrived faulty! The fault didn’t affect the function of the pump (as I was told by spectra customer service) and I was encouraged to use it. I tried to use it for a little while, but the suction was horrible. My Medela swing worked so much better. Contacted customer service and they organised a refund. Customer service was great! For the price, I was expecting a much better quality pump and annoyed they sent out a faulty one. Only great thing was the built in light!
Purchased in November 2018 for A$379.00.

Pump broken after 8 weeks
I purchased the Spectra pump 8 weeks ago and have used it around 10 times to build up a supply to go back to work.
Today I noticed the power was really weak and not charging properly. When I re-inserted the power plug it sparked!
The machine when plugged in is now making a loud ticking sound.
I really thought Spectra was supposed to be top quality.

I was pumping and all of a sudden the Spectra turns off! I tried to turn it back on and the screen turns in but there’s no suction or pumping sounds from the pump. After a few seconds, it shuts off.
