Frequent outages, but dedicated customer support
The connection itself is incredibly unreliable, we're having issues weekly at minimum. But despite the issues with the service itself, I can only sing the praises of the customer support team that always goes above and beyond to resolve our problems. Thanks Joie!
I have no idea how well the NBN works? Modem has taken weeks to arrive! Still no access...
I have no idea how well the NBN performs because of long delays getting my Spintel modem. On 28th January the NBN tech came along and added a cable, jack and NBN modem, with lights flashing when he left. The next day I get a partial bill for my new account for a service I can't use because I have no modem. I can even see the new NBN modem on my mobile and tablet but I have no password to access it. I rang Spintel up and say please withdraw your bill because I have no access because I have no modem delivered to access the NBN. The Spintel cus...tomer service rep says: "It is accessible if you have an ethernet cable and laptop." I told him that I have no cables nor any computer with the proper outlet, won't be able to access the NBN without the Spintel provided modem (which is why I ordered it!), and to cancel the bill they sent already since I still have no access and don't see why I should start paying when I have no modem or effective service. Afterwards, I figured out I have no password to access the NBN modem anyway even if I did have hardware to connect. My modem still hasn't arrived a week later and the bill has not been withdrawn or modified. So far Spintel is just making me grumpy and I haven't even been able to use the NBN or internet yet. It is a good thing I have access to the internet through my mobile phone because it is taking way too long to get access through Spintel...
An infinite wait
Waited for 8 working days to be connected. No progress updates in the online account, nothing concrete on the phone. Customer service is polite but unhelpful. At the end they simply stopped picking up. How they won the awards they claim they won is beyond me.

If you want UNLIMITED calls to Australian local, national and mobile numbers you need to add a $10 plan (VoIP/Phone) along with your NBN plan.
