Good food value seemed legit
Went to Amigos last night in St Kilda had a ripper of a night good food and no trouble getting in on Friday, would defiantly go back. Have had some problems before with the getting in on a weekend with other restaurants but Amigos seemed to have it worked out
Lots of food, easy to get a booking
Cocktails were kind of expensive
I bought a voucher for High Tea at Petit Four in the CBD which was not at all what it was made out to be. I complained about the deal and their response:"I am sorry the deal didn't work out for you"
What?? This is totally unacceptable. Spreets should take some responsibility for photo's placed with a deal offer, and the wording of a deal. Offering deals with inaccurate descriptions are called misrepresentation! I for one will never buy anything through Spreets ever again. Just not worth it.
run, run far away
stay away. I ordered brushes 5 months ago and I am still waiting. After numerous emails to both spreets and the seller Nemani Amour, I have nothing and I am no longer entitles to a refund from paypal as it has been more then 45 days and paypal do not want to know about .
product hasnt arrived or doesnt exist
The product took ages to arrive.
The iron does not heat properly, dial does not work, light only stays on for a few seconds, water comes out of unit and wets clothes - useless.
I also purchased the clothes steamer some time ago, that is in bin now - what a waste!
Another bad appliance via spreets
Spreets is horriable
I called The Station to book my snow holiday using the Spreets voucher. They said they were full till the end of September. Ten minutes later I called back to see if they were really full. When asked if I had a voucher I said no. Rebecca then told me I could book the room. I asked why she lied to me earlier about being full. She got very defensive and hung up on me. I then called back and asked to speak to a manager. The manager’s name was Rachel. I asked why her other employee's lied to me about being full. She denied it. After saying again th...at I was definitely told they were full once, with a voucher, but could book without a voucher they then decided to be honest. She said that they only allocate 100 rooms per weekend to Spreets vouchers. If you sold 900 vouchers how does that work? It seems to me The Station Resort is forcing us to the vouchers when the snow is bad and they don't book rooms. I asked Spreet for a refund and they said no because of the terms and conditions 12.1 All Vouchers relating to the provision of services by Merchants is subject to availability and may require you to make a booking in advance. Spreets cannot guarantee that services will be available at your preferred times. It is your responsibility to arrange your booking directly with the Merchant.
Paid two months ago, and only received after Facebooking and complaining
Ordered and paid for Perfect bras. Took over two months - however they finally arrived with a voucher to make up for delay. Still, go ahead with caution, and only if you don't mind a long wait
Takes too long from paying to receiving.
In August 2011 Spreets offered a 4 day holiday for 2 in Bali, staying at the O-CE-N Outrigger, valued at $1999 for a low $987. As this is our "hotel of choice" we booked and paid for the holiday.
Now - for $1999 I will get a 3 bedroom suite at the O-CE-N, so imagine my surprise when the hotel told me all I was getting was a standard room which anyone can buy on thr internet for around $850 incl.tax.
Spreets have been worse than hopeless and refuse to return phone calls and when you get an email from them they pretend to not understand what the issue is.
I would caution anyone who intends to use Spreets to think again!!
No support or service
Spreets are the Worst - do not buy anything from them!
This is a warning, do not buy from Spreets. They are crooks, but they don't sell their own stuff, so they say they are not responsible if anything goes wrong. I bought a holiday voucher from them, which is proving to be impossible to use. But when I ask for a refund, they finally get back to me one month later saying that they are in no way responsible. They sit back and collect all this cash from thousands of people everyday from all over Australia, and they have abolutley no duty of care whatsoever. Don't bother trying to find a number o...r there address, they are very clever in hiding their location cause, like all conmen, they don't want to be hassled by the thousands of people they rip - off everyday. When is the Australian government going to wake up to them and stop them from robbing people. They sell a service which is not delivered and they say it is the merchant's responsibility - not theirs. Stay away from Spreets!!! They cause you nothing but stress Everything - you are ripped off!
You have been warned.
It is in the finest print.
They advertise on ebay yet don't explain that you need to redeem your voucher.
Their customer service replied with three word responses.
Basically a rort company who claim to sell goods but are really a coupon redemption scam who acknowledge this in the finest print
Don't ever buy off them!
I bought a voucher earlier this year for a holiday in Thailand and went to book it about a month or 2 later through another company that were looking after the spreets deals but were not the hotel (they are called Ezy Stays - wait till I talk about them) but basically they told me unless I was a full paying customer I could not book untill it was in low season because the hotel was fully booked - rang hotel - availability at all times.
Ezy stays were extreamly rude and basically abused me, I then got my travel agent to talk to them and she w...as basically told to get lost and that is putting it nicely. I was attacked by this company and have now sent spreets 5 emails regarding it and have had one reply and they are doing nothing about it - I am not happy at all. Spreets aren't getting back to me yet they manage to send me a thousand deals every day and post all over facebook but not one person can write back and give me a dam refund. Do not use these people. Nothing at all Bad service, never get back to you, don't care about you just care about money
Travel deals seem fine but don't buy anything off them!
I have used them a couple of times and found them good for their travel deals. That's because it's something that you don't have to wait for any of their 'merchants' to arrange for shipping.
Other than that my wife and I have had never ending problems with this rip off mob. From items being inferior and not as described (then a refund refused despite THE LAW stating that a consumer is entitled to such if a product is not as it's meant to be) to items not turning up at all.
First email to them will usually get them to say "Sorry, we'll loo...k into it for you". Then subsequent emails get ignored until you give up and go away. I find most of these "deals" sites to be the same with similar stories being said by everyone. I have ticked "yes" to recommending this to a friend but that's only for the travel deals, nothing else. The travel deals Any deals involving the need to ship a physical item - they are either inferior or not as described or don't even turn up
Lets shut down Spreets - get on facebook and other media outlets,
I am sad to say within a 6 weeks period in march 2012 I ordered 6 products from Spreets, 3 items never delivered, and the other 3 items delivered very very late were absolutely useless products and not even worth the discounted price -cheap junk that didnt work and I am talking about about one product $150 spent so in all I have wasted alot of money on this company and can't believe they are still in business. They never reply, they never refund and they don't believe in customer service. What do they have to do to be accountable for there b...usiness ethics or lack of should I say. So people power - if we can't get our money back or service lets give them some good old fashion people power of letting them know exactly what we think and making sure everyone knows - so start telling everyone - facebook and any media outlet. everything wa wrong!! ripp off company that should not be in business
Ticked by fine print. Goods haven't arrived
Bought 2 Magnetic Fly Screen Doors from Spreets Jan 16. When they hadn't arrived mid Feb, I complained and was told to look at fine print - six weeks delivery time and I had to be home to take delivery (if I'm not home, I have to pay extra delivery fee. Sent Spreets an email complaining this is unfair - how can I stay at home for six weeks!!! It's now March 2. Still no fly screens arrived and no answer/correspondence from Spreets.
Unless you want to sit at home for weeks watching and waiting for a delivery, don't buy from Spreets as they are i...
No support for customers once purchase made
Purchased a Spreets offer for microdermabrasion sessions only to have the clinic cancel my booking after 4 weeks (the day before my booking) because 'they were too busy'. I was then informed that I was unable to book on weekends despite my initial booking being on a Saturday. I was told to take this up with Spreets who have told me they can't do anything. They told me to sort this out with the clinic.
Spreets - Be Warned
Bought a Go Clean and Green voucher for $69 for a two hour $150 professional House Clean. Made at least 12 attempts to contact Go Clean and Green but answering machine referred you to web site which didn't work so rang again but answering machine referred you to web site etc. Getting a satisfactory outcome from Spreets was not much better and I wont bother again.
Outcome was $69 for nothing - that's Spreets value.
I am not even sure Go Clean and Green even exist.
Do other have experience of Spreets offering a deal which is impossible ...
Most painful and frustrating refund experience ever! Still not resolved...
I purchased a voucher and could not make a booking for a time to use it before voucher expiry. (Side note - I didn't leave it until the last minute - it was still 3 months before expiry date).
So submitted a refund request as soon as I realised I wouldn't be able to use the voucher. This is a summary of my experience:
- Submitted a request using the online 'help' desk.
- Follow up note sent - no reply
- Second follow up note sent - no reply
- Almost one month later decided to take some action and tried to call
- Phone number not on website so needed to scour the internet to find it[number removed].
- Called to ask about refund - person was very nice "Yes we will organise the refund within 5-7 days" ...
Poor frustrating customer service
After waiting 12 weeks from the date of purchase for an item from Deals in Australia (and completing all the requirements to redeem the Spreets voucher from them), I have not been able to get the item which was promised to arrive between 5 and 8 weeks. Deals in Australia does not respond to any messages left on their website (no other means of communication). Despite three weeks of frustration dealing with Spreets customer service, they will not provide any contact details for Deals in Australia (except to suggest I use their website or publi...shed email address - which I had told them did not work) nor will they provide a refund as promised in their terms and conditions. If you have to wait 12 weeks and spend 3 weeks dealing with the very frustrating and unhelpful Spreets customer service people (who do not read previous correspondence and keep asking the same questions) - it is ridiculous. Clearly they do not have a screening process for the companies they deal with nor do they care about what happens to their customers once they have got their money. I cannot find any reason to continue supporting this company when there are so many others that deal with their customers in a more professional, efficient and respectful manner. I recommend that any others who have had problems follow up by complaining to ACCC and Fair Trading. It is not difficult - they have online forms on their website. And you may help change this company or at least prevent others from suffering as you have. Nice looking website Extremely poor customer service -
Spreets Memory Foam pillows stay away from them!!!
I recently bought some memory foam pillows from Spreets, when I finally received like about 12 weeks later they look nothing like what was on the picture, even the packaging it come's in has a different pic on the front to what it actually looks like, it is actualy just some foam which probably cost about 50cents to make in China! I have memory foam pillows at home that cost me well over $150 and they are the real one's never fall for this cheap knock off!
Nothing, stay away from Spreets. This is not my first bad encounter with them either!
I was told I was too late
I recently bought a Spreets voucher for a meal for 2 at Kathmandu, Nepal in Duncraig. I couldn't believe when I called to make a booking that my voucher had expired, even though the date was not up. My stupid mistake I should have re read the small print. The voucher was only valid for 3 months but you had to make the booking no later that a whole month from the expiry date. So when I called with still a few weeks left before expiry I was told I was too late. How many other people would have paid $30 for the deal only to find they couldn't use it. No other voucher that I have used has such a condition. The restaurant would certainly have made out of this!
Spreets - Burger, Drink and Movie Voucher
Purchased 6 vouchers and used 2 which I had no problem with. In June, I tried to use the remaining vouchers when I was told I could have burgers but they have no movie vouchers to give to me. I called one of the cinemas straight away and was told they were no longer giving out the movie vouchers to the other merchant or excepting them because the burger place had not paid their bills. I couldn't do anything about it at the time as I was going on holidays after that night so I thought I would sort it out when I got back. Emailed Spreets but they...just washed their hands of the problem because I contacted them after the expiry date and they said, it's a he said, she said situation, which it is not. If Spreets had made the effort to contact their merchants, the merchants would have explained their situation at the time. Talk about calling their service centre, customer support. To be honest, and after reading the Spreets reviews, I think even if I had a chance to contact them the next day, I still would have got the same response. I have had no other response from Spreets and now I cannot contact them. Their phone number was on the site a couple of days ago but now has been removed. I have tried calling them again but I just get the answering service now. Left a message but have recieved no phone call back. I have now contacted the Australian Consumer people. The saga continues.........
