Sorry to hear that you are having problems with your Ssangyong Korando transmission Lee, the transmission in the Korando I owned was crap too. I am no Ssangyong fan after my experence with the company...
Read more and am even now still waiting four odd month latter for them to get back to me ( I will get straight back to you was the last contact I had with the company ). The 2014 Korando I foolishly purchased was rubbish and a money pit in the making so I went straight out and traded it on a known brand and better built vehicle, best decision I had made in years.Hello Bruce,
Definitely it does not worth any additional expense. I will, like you did, buy a well known brand.
Thanks for your response and sharing your experience.
Sounds like a linkage adjustment problem.
My2013 Korando automatic gearbox shift from 1st to 2nd smooth. When it change over to 3rd, it sort of change hard over. What can be the problem?
I am not a mechanic Gawie and I wish I had the answers to the aparent rubbish six speed transmissions in that model Karando's. The 2014 Korando I purchased cost me $1,000 Australian in the three month...

Would this be enough to have the vehicle classed as a lemon?
My suggestion is to do what I did and sell the vehicle and cut your losses, Lemon would be a good description of my experience with Ssangyong and apparently yours. Still waiting for Ssangyong to get b...

I can not delete devices paired from Bluetooth of my korando 2013 , I followed instructions but system do not delete, 5 devices are there but I can’t pair new devices. Request assistance how to reset Bluetooth to manufacturer state?
2.9 diesel korando when driving above 2.3 revs a strange noise coming up. Please advise?
The Throttle, pedal, drive by wire needs to be reset, Ssangyong has not replied to questions as to procedure.
The vehicle will not accelerate from stop, crawls away and no amount of throttling will increase rate of acceleration until vehicle has traveled some distance, 20-30 metres then away you go, Its Dangerous!!!
Hi,
It woul appear that tje Injector Pump is too far requiring the revs to increase until the centrifical advance provides sufficient advance to generate power.

I have looked under the bonnet and can't seem to find out. Can anyone tell me where it is??

Read more Sangyong and told it was timing chain/belt and then told it had done the head. Engine rebuild took months and cost $7k with genuine Sangyong parts - lucky I was under warranty (just). I believe it is cheaper with non genuine parts and quicker. If you haven't had timing belt/chain replaced - I would be doing that before driving it - even though they aren't listed as required should be done or they will go often just after the 100000kms (warranty)Hi Sal, thanks for answering. I hope my doesn't end up like yours as it is out of warranty. Is there any chance you can tell me where in the motor is the camshaft sensor?
i have ssangyong actyon 2010. its located in the front near the fan, in actyon. near the egr valve.
I have a Korando 2013 and had the timing chain replaced under warranty at 90,000 Kims but now at 135,000 the lower bearings have gone and it needs the engine replaced but out of warranty now. I have been told that when they replaced the timing chain they should also replace the cam shaft, is that true?
Liked the car but wont buy another one.
no - normally just the toothed gear on the end of the exhaust camshaft is replaced (common that it wears)
