Worst Customer Service
Ordered built in drawers and paid in advance (first mistake). Received a text saying they would be installed on Thur 16/6, When the installers hadn't turned up at 10am I phoned Stegbar who stated it was booked in for the 17/6. I said I had received a text on the 24/5 stating it was booked for the 16/6. The call taker said she would follow up. She didn't, I chased her up and she said Oh they haven't been cut yet we will have to arrange another date." When I told her I wanted to be compensated for the delay she said she would talk to the ...Manager'. When I hadn't heard from them I phoned again and they told me they discussed it with the Manager and he would get back to me. Never happened surprise surprise. I had originally purchased IKEA drawers but they didn't fit into the wardrobe, so that is why I contacted Stegbar. When they were finally installed them I was under the impression I was getting drawers that had no gaps in it just like the IKEA ones. No these had gaps between the drawers, so again I contacted the company and was told no this was what was on the plan. They also said I wasn't getting compensated because it wasn't there fault in the delay ask me if I had seen the news re COVID! What a waste of $750.20. Don't deal with this company even their installers are leaving
The worst customer service. Months wasted
It was impossible to get any sort of service from Stegbar. They provided incorrect measurements and ignored my calls. I was constantly chasing them for answers. Don’t bother with them.
Unprofessional. Services not done with due care and skill.
A true measure of a company is that when things go bad that they seek to resolve the issue. Stegbar Rowville seem to do the opposite – ignore emails and effectively hide away. They don't take responsibility for bad workmanship. I highly suggest looking elsewhere.
Paw Proof Mesh???
On having our new Paw Proof screen doors damaged by our 10 yr old King Charles Spaniel the Customer Service Officer advised us that it wasn't covered under warranty and that the mesh will withstand the pets paw if rested on the mesh?? Didn't read that in the fine print!
Took Stegbar 4 attempts to get the size and handing of our Security door right - would have been 5 attempts if not for the on-site modification undertaken at the last installation at which they damaged the already installed timber sliding door. Very unprofessional und complete lack of due diligence. Would not recommend them at all.
Woeful experience from beginning to end
We had an absolutely woeful experience from beginning to end! The Stegbar team were unprofessional, often rude, and highly disorganised.
We attempted to get someone from Stegbar to give us a quote for built-in wardrobes for 3 rooms. It took over a month and several phone calls and a visit to their showroom in Rowville for them to finally call us to organise to coordinate a quote at our home. Once the design had been signed off on, the sales rep recommended a builder to do the prep work for the openings of the wardrobes. (more on that later). ...Installation: We had a date booked, however after not hearing a word from Stegbar, we contacted them the day prior to the installation, only to discover that the installation had been cancelled. When it finally came to the day of installation, halfway through, the installer realised the design didn’t fit the measurements Stegbar had taken. The subcontracted installer was very accommodating and understanding of our situation and spent hours trying to come up with the best solution. None of this would have happened if the measurements had been taken correctly in the first place and not just drawn up with pen and paper by the rep and actually checked by their internal design team (if they have one?). This meant we were forced to make decisions on the spot that quite dramatically changed the functionality and design of the internals of our master bedroom wardrobes! Shelves had to be reduced in size, the shoe area had to be broken up into 3 separate, tiny compartments, meaning most shoes don’t fit in the space properly. And the clothes hamper was relocated to an awkward spot.

Everything about Stegbar was absolutely woeful. I don't write product reviews, but I am making an exception on this occasion to warn everyone away from this terrible, unprofessional, disorganised company.
Firstly, I will note that I am willing to forgive and be understanding with builders and suppliers at present considering supply chain constraints and labour shortages. But Stegbar had so many own goals that their incompetence is endemic, and I am sure that my experience is not the exception, but the rule.
Secondly, I want to note that the s...ubcontracted installation team hired by Stegbar did as good a job as they could in the difficult circumstances created by incompetent management. When the customer loses, the subcontracted installation teams lose because they don't get paid if they rock up to an installation and the pieces of the cabinetry are not the right size. Here are some of the problems: - delay in scheduling meaning we couldn’t get installation in early Jan as the sales person promised, but it was moved to February. That was OK, we understand in current labour environment its hard to lock things in. - Failure to properly design the BIR meant that the walls were the wrong depth and shape. The design drawings were done by pencil on paper. This is in the third decade of the 21st century! Other cabinetmakers I talked to subsequently all use Computer Aided Design to ensure that the dimensions were correct and the product manufactured was the right size. - The head sales manager at Stegbar Vic tried to persuade us to accept a wall profile will 200mm depth, which is not sufficiently structurally sound according to the subcontracted installer.

The Bar is Set Very Low
I engaged Stegbar & Aneeta (Jeldwen Companies) to provide our windows during a recent renovation, the process with the first 5 windows went reasonably well but I was home and supervised the works. The last 2 smaller bathroom windows where not supervised and turned into a 6 month nightmare.
Terrible lack of organisation for deliveries, service calls and installers, no proactive or effective customer service, poor workmanship and will blame the customer first if anything does go wrong.
Upon order we were told no site glazing was required, clos...er to the delivery date the Stegbar team called to advise the frames would be delivered without the glazing, advising this would be provided by their sister company Aneeta. This did raise some concerns as our builder was to install a complete unit, I raised that this as undesirable and risky, we were concerned there would be issues. I was assured this wouldn't be an issue and it was suggested we could face complications or delays if we didn't accept delivery. It wasn't lost on me that this felt like moving orders out the door in the closing moments of the financial year... In good faith we accepted the delivery and had the builder install the window frames, Aneeta (Stegbar's sister company. Aneeta attended site and really left both windows in a horrible state, steel was not cut straight, gaps, sharp edges, fly screens not fit as ordered, poor joinery. Windows ordered were double glazed with BAL rating, due to the poor workmanship I doubt this was met. The issues were shared with Stegbar and the brick and tile work was left incomplete to confirm the windows were installed correctly by the builder. After a brief altercation where I was blamed for my builders work I suggested rather than blame the customer perhaps we could inspect the work together and find a solution.
Never use Stegbar again
Absolutely hopeless from start to finish ended up having to get a seperate guy in to fix their dodgy work
On 4 occasions when Stegbar were meant to turn up on site they did no shows and on the fifth go did such a bad job I had to get my builder in to fix the track on a wardrobe

We waited a long time for the Covid restrictions to ease , but when they did Trevor Thomas came round as soon as possible and carried out the measure up quickly and efficiently and with a pleasant manner. The quote followed as he said, we placed the order and await installation. So far really good, thanks Trevor.
This is a great job as an installer
My review towards Stegbar is they try to do there best in all departments and always aim to improve there safety rules,, I believe that they always put there employees first and try to improve all areas
I started the discussion with Stegbar in May 2021 about my order and I was told that it takes maximum 12 weeks to complete the job which is around the end of August or early September. Based on his word I took the measurements sent to Stegbar, a person came to my place, took the exact measurement, paid the deposit, and finalised everything at end of June. Doing all those things I receive a date in November which is 19 weeks after my confirmation. I sent them an email, but since there is no reply I called the office. The lady answered the phone ...talked to me so badly which was not the way to talk to their customers. I can understand there is a two weeks lockdown and it may be affected the business. But I can’t believe it takes nearly 4-5 months for the installation of simple 3 glass doors. Even a single-story house can be built within 6-8months. Hope to write another review later. Seeing this someone in higher management please consider to give us a near date.

Several problems, ironed out in mediation
Stegbar Rowville were slow at every stage of the process, their representative was irritable and unpleasant several times, treating me like a fool who didn't understand the invoice (I am elderly).
The process started in January 2021. After installing my new glass doors, there was a dispute about a security door that they had assured me was included in the price, but failed to deliver. In mid-May (four months in), they sent someone to install the security door, but he didn't have the door and it turned out that they had failed to order it. Afte...
So very difficult to get a quote Stegbar???

So here we are a month later, following numerous calls and emails, still waiting for Rep Brian, or someone else to come out, if Brian is still sick. Matt can you help? Someone should be following up these quote requests. Maybe you need more sraff Stegbar.
