Worst Customer Service
Ordered built in drawers and paid in advance (first mistake). Received a text saying they would be installed on Thur 16/6, When the installers hadn't turned up at 10am I phoned Stegbar who stated it was booked in for the 17/6. I said I had received a text on the 24/5 stating it was booked for the 16/6. The call taker said she would follow up. She didn't, I chased her up and she said Oh they haven't been cut yet we will have to arrange another date." When I told her I wanted to be compensated for the delay she said she would talk to the ...Manager'. When I hadn't heard from them I phoned again and they told me they discussed it with the Manager and he would get back to me. Never happened surprise surprise. I had originally purchased IKEA drawers but they didn't fit into the wardrobe, so that is why I contacted Stegbar. When they were finally installed them I was under the impression I was getting drawers that had no gaps in it just like the IKEA ones. No these had gaps between the drawers, so again I contacted the company and was told no this was what was on the plan. They also said I wasn't getting compensated because it wasn't there fault in the delay ask me if I had seen the news re COVID! What a waste of $750.20. Don't deal with this company even their installers are leaving
The worst customer service. Months wasted
It was impossible to get any sort of service from Stegbar. They provided incorrect measurements and ignored my calls. I was constantly chasing them for answers. Don’t bother with them.
Paw Proof Mesh???
On having our new Paw Proof screen doors damaged by our 10 yr old King Charles Spaniel the Customer Service Officer advised us that it wasn't covered under warranty and that the mesh will withstand the pets paw if rested on the mesh?? Didn't read that in the fine print!
Took Stegbar 4 attempts to get the size and handing of our Security door right - would have been 5 attempts if not for the on-site modification undertaken at the last installation at which they damaged the already installed timber sliding door. Very unprofessional und complete lack of due diligence. Would not recommend them at all.

If you want to cry yourself to sleep, choose Stegbar.
Everything about Stegbar was absolutely woeful. I don't write product reviews, but I am making an exception on this occasion to warn everyone away from this terrible, unprofessional, disorganised company.
Firstly, I will note that I am willing to forgive and be understanding with builders and suppliers at present considering supply chain constraints and labour shortages. But Stegbar had so many own goals that their incompetence is endemic, and I am sure that my experience is not the exception, but the rule.
Secondly, I want to note that the s...ubcontracted installation team hired by Stegbar did as good a job as they could in the difficult circumstances created by incompetent management. When the customer loses, the subcontracted installation teams lose because they don't get paid if they rock up to an installation and the pieces of the cabinetry are not the right size. Here are some of the problems: - delay in scheduling meaning we couldn’t get installation in early Jan as the sales person promised, but it was moved to February. That was OK, we understand in current labour environment its hard to lock things in. - Failure to properly design the BIR meant that the walls were the wrong depth and shape. The design drawings were done by pencil on paper. This is in the third decade of the 21st century! Other cabinetmakers I talked to subsequently all use Computer Aided Design to ensure that the dimensions were correct and the product manufactured was the right size. - The head sales manager at Stegbar Vic tried to persuade us to accept a wall profile will 200mm depth, which is not sufficiently structurally sound according to the subcontracted installer.
Never use Stegbar again
Absolutely hopeless from start to finish ended up having to get a seperate guy in to fix their dodgy work
On 4 occasions when Stegbar were meant to turn up on site they did no shows and on the fifth go did such a bad job I had to get my builder in to fix the track on a wardrobe
I started the discussion with Stegbar in May 2021 about my order and I was told that it takes maximum 12 weeks to complete the job which is around the end of August or early September. Based on his word I took the measurements sent to Stegbar, a person came to my place, took the exact measurement, paid the deposit, and finalised everything at end of June. Doing all those things I receive a date in November which is 19 weeks after my confirmation. I sent them an email, but since there is no reply I called the office. The lady answered the phone ...talked to me so badly which was not the way to talk to their customers. I can understand there is a two weeks lockdown and it may be affected the business. But I can’t believe it takes nearly 4-5 months for the installation of simple 3 glass doors. Even a single-story house can be built within 6-8months. Hope to write another review later. Seeing this someone in higher management please consider to give us a near date.
Worst after sales service yet
Stegbar sold us a three rooms of double glazed windows. In two rooms they leaked and were eventually repaired. The biggest one failed and started steaming up in the space between the panels during summer. Nearly 6 months and about 20 phone calls later we have an acknowledgement of fault and agreement to replace as the windpws are under warranty. Problem? Stegbar seem to outsource all the installation and repair work and we have had the fun around for.months. today waoting for a contractor tockeep an appointment we rang (not the contractor) and learned thw wrong glass had been ordered. So many missed appointment and call a not returned. Stegbar can't keep passing the buck to 3rd parties. Your product, your problem.
So very difficult to get a quote Stegbar???

So here we are a month later, following numerous calls and emails, still waiting for Rep Brian, or someone else to come out, if Brian is still sick. Matt can you help? Someone should be following up these quote requests. Maybe you need more sraff Stegbar.
Springs gone on both our large sash windows - they say they don’t have the parts anymore - really shoddy workmanship and timber they use substandard - I’d NEVER use again and is not recommend.

STOP. Terrible, terrible, terrible.
* Installer ripped off an architrave to a window we didn't want removed.
* There was a measurement error on the kitchen sliding door.
* Once installed, the wire mesh door that was fitted did not open and shut smoothly.
* The job was still not completed months after it was supposed to be finished. We needed to continually contact them to move the project along.
* The installers said they'd cover the furniture and carpet so everything wouldn't get covered in dust, saw dust and grime. They did not do this, so everything was covered in dust and g...
Very ordinary service and appalling quality
Just had a new back door and new bifolds installed. The back door was to have a security screen door as well so the breeze could come through. Two relatively minor issues but indicative of slack of pride and care, one extremely disappointing deal-breaker quality and service issue.
1. Security screen door was manufactured to the wrong size despite two visits so couldn’t be installed, a further six week wait.

Don't expect after sales service
A roller has failed on an external sliding door. On visiting to Stegbar Rowville my wife was told the door must have been supplied by another company. My builder verified that this was not the case. When I visited I was told we don't have them so here is a list of hardware suppliers. My suggestion that this is not an adequate way of dealing with a customer and perhaps Stegbar's systems need to be reviewed was dismissed. Fortunately my builder, a major and long established home renovation company, no longer uses Stegbar.
Poor Customer Service
Four years ago I replaced all the windows and doors in my house to Stegbar and all are keyed alike. I have been very happy with all they provided but now (four years later) my front door (a Stegbar Statesman pivot door) keeps dropping and needing manual adjustment. I am not an expert at this and have been trying to get someone from Stegbar to help me with this issue. They have advised me that it may be due to movement of my house. I understand this and am not looking for anything under warranty. I am very happy to pay whatever is needed to get my front door serviced or adjusted. Stegbar have point blank refused to help me. There customer service has been very poor. If I could give them zero stars I would.
Disappointed is an understatement.
Have two timber windows at rear of house. Moved into house October 2016. January 2017 wife complained she couldn't open windows. There appeared to be something orange between them. I gently applied pressure on awning and opened window. This was bought up at 12 month service call to which the builders' maintenance bloke scraped it off and re stained the windows. Initially it was thought to have been a seal that melted from the sun. The builder was notified to which i was told I needed to deal with Stegbar directly. Stegbar had been out twice for...service call outs for the same problem to which after the first time the bloke scraped it off and sanded and I re stained them. The second time the bloke came out from Stegbar. He told me that this was not the seal but a fungi and that there was no point in sanding or staining it as the window was rotting. He said he took photos and that he would put this to the builder. I was told it was going back and fourth. I kind of left it for a bit and nothing. I had an inspector from the builder come out and was told i had neglected maintenance on them which was the reason. Nothing around my house lacks maintenance as I get onto things as soon as I see something needs attention, which makes no sense as why I'd just let these two windows rot. Stegbar is telling me they have no service calls to this address, which is not correct as i was home the first time and the second time my mother in law. The builder is saying without evidence of these service calls they won't replace them. I have a four year old, very well maintained home and two windows which look worse then on a house 100 years old. I have no choice but to take this further.
