Check your warranty
Wish we had checked out these guys warranty details before giving an okay for our builder to spend thousands of dollars to use their products to build our new home. There is no warranty on the glass quality, 24 hours after leaving their premises, or in other words until it receives any third party installer in tact. But what happens if the installers have done a great job and everything looks fine. Then, for no reason the glass shatters a month or a year or couple of years later. Well here is where they use the "old blame the weather trick........or a bird must have flown into the glass.......or there could be a burglar trying to get in, trick". Problem is, when you can show none of those could have been possible, they will argue it could have been as you were not there. Imagine being allowed to sell product with no warranty obligation on the quality of your product, post installation whatsoever. Apparently it's a "standard thing" according to the customer service people at Stegbar. ACCC where are you in backing the consumer instead of big business in such cases? I've just had to spend a fortune to repair 2 windows over the last 2 years. How many more to come????
Worst experience ever!!!!
I recently had Stegbar in to fit new wardrobe doors in my nursery. I can honestly say this is the worst installation job I’ve ever seen bar none. Not only was a mess left (couldn’t even bother cleaning glass), the bottom rails weren’t even glued and lifts straight up, other bits weren’t glued or fitted properly. Seriously a horrible job overall and would NEVER recommend Stegbar to anyone or buy anything off these muppets again. You have been warned!!!!!
I would advise anyone thinking of using this company to think twice ... don’t believe what you are told. They are very good at not telling you what you need to know ... and when you call them to try resolve issues do not expect service .. this is a dodgy company and if you are dealing with [name removed] be doubly careful .. she is good at not telling you what you need to know. This [name removed] by the way is the same person who pushes you to give her a good review for doing an ordinary job. I would never use this company again .

Always punctual for every job I’ve asked to be quoted on, nothing is ever too much trouble at all and they get the job done quickly and smoothly from start to finish.

The measurement for our splashback was too short, Andrew Wood and Steven Ashton from Stegbar came out with the original order, reviewed the area, re-measured and said they would return in about 10-14 days. And true to their word, they did. They were extremely polite and very professional. Andrew was very coherent in his interactions with Steven, they discussed what they were doing, they doubled checked measurements and when they came back to install the new splashback, they were also very professional and polite. They installed it without a...ny fuss, very quickly, but ensured that they didn't damage the cabinetry, the benchtops or the cooktop when reinstalling. They also cleaned up after themselves and showed respect and great communication throughout my interactions with them. It is tricky to install a splashback when the rest of the kitchen is already in place, but they did it with grace and professionalism. Andrew should be a trainer and they both should be recommended for other jobs.

Splash back Install
Andrew and Steven installed splash back at my place without any issues. They are neat and clean. They are super quick too. Well done job by both of them. Very satisfied with work.
Andrew and Steven from Stegbar Rowville replaced a mirror that was held onto a tiled wall with silastic. I had no idea how they were going to get the old mirror off the wall but they assured me that it would come off in one piece. It didn't, but the replacement job was perfect. No mess, no damage to the tiles and all cleaned up. The installers were very professional in their approach to this job witch was very pleasing to see.
A solution to a problem mirror was offered by Andrew and Steven and the work was carried out promptly and efficiently.
Professional attitude and knowledgeable about the product and workmanship. Unfortunately the first mirror put in by another workman had a flaw that could not be rectified other than full replacement. It is disappointing that the mirror was put in place as it created a complicated situation for finding a solution to inserting another mirror.

We have come to expect professional customer service and high quality products from Stegbar, so this is our 'go to' supplier for doors, windows and shower screens. Stegbar recently installed a frameless, self cleaning shower screen. Their after sales customer service was exceptional. Thank you to Manny from Rowville Showerscreens for the high quality installation and for attention to detail. Thank you to each of the Stegbar team - from initial quotation and measure to the final installation. We found each of the team very professional and efficient.

Excellent customer service and experienced technicians
Andrew and Steven were did a fantastic job of removing the old mirror and replacing it with the new one in my powder room. Andrew rang ahead and gave me the time of when they will reach my place and when they arrived punctually, the were polite and very professional, cleaned up after themselves and even gave me tips on how to keep the glass looking new and streak free (metho and paper towels).
From office staff to technician, the Stegbar team has been professional and customer focused - Leanne from Customer service keeping me updated on progress of orders so I could expect an ETA of the works as this was a defect fix that was being arrange through my builder. Thank you to the team as they made a lengthy and frustrating process tolerable.
After originally having problems with the rollers on my wardrobe doors Stegbar were wonderful and replaced the doors and tracks and they now work beautifully. Very grateful for the fantastic customer service.
I have dealt with Leigh Hamilton from stegbar Rowville for all our wardrobes and shower screens for the past 4 years across a number of projects, I have always found him to be very helpful and accommodating to assist in tight deadlines. We are builders in Tasmania that have used Stegbar products over 3-4 projects. On every single case we had nothing but problems. The Stegbar quality system is atrocious. Windows damaged, flyscreens damaged. Take months & months to address & still waiting after 10 months or so. They are terrible!
Questions & Answers
What failure frequency are people getting from Stegbar double glazed (IGU) windows & doors?
I've had roughly 50% of the glass fail (condensation between the panes) & replaced so far in a 6 year old house?
Have two sliding doors on top level of home and every time we have a severe storm, water seeps through to the ceiling on lower level causing damaged to ceiling & furniture. Have checked all weep holes & tracks. All are ok. Have had trade people in to see what the problem is but again no answer. I have siliconed all around the doors including floor but again same problem.The doors are Stegbar about 8 years old.
Do you have a maintenance team that can rectify hard to open & close sliding doors, it was a new build we moved into Christmas 2 yrs ago. I live in Penrith nsw. Thank you
