Boxer Brief (Longer), Trunk (Shorter)Reviewer Photos & Videos
Seriously great undies.
Have never reviewed a product before, these jocks are so seriously great that I’ve had to jump on and write one. I’ve got tree trunks for legs, always have a tough time buying leg related clothes, these bad boys fit perfectly, don’t ride up, keep everything where it’s meant to be and the Lycra panels really do make your legs glide together. No chaffing at all!! Got a 4 pack to start with, on day 5 after arrival I had to revert to a pair of the old ginch, felt like I’d strapped some sandpaper on.. So impressed that I’ve just dialled in and doubled my fleet. Don’t listen to any of the odd propaganda reviews; Do yourself a favour lads, take the dive, your getaway sticks will thank you!

Pretty comfy
The store was easy to use. The products are comfy the first couple of times you wear them, after that the waist band rolls up instantly.
Eventually after about 6 months they start falling apart.

Almost perfect
These are good, no more chafing !
I have about 12 pairs in all different colours. The only downside is the 'bobbles' that form on the little Lycra piece after a couple of wears and washes.

Amazing Boxers
These guys have amazing quality gear, but there just one fault , the top of the boxers tends to roll up and gets quiet annoying and it happens to all 6-7 of my boxers other than that it's the best I've had at least doesn't roll up on the thigh's

Just a bit shorter
Could you make a short leg version the ones I got hang below my shorts .??other wise they are very cumfie
Wonderful product, only have one complaint..
Very comfy and well made the colours are great too. I bought them mainly because of the environmental considerations, but the compostable packaging is negated by posting it in a plastic bag..
Almost 100% perfect
99% perfect, everything they say in the ads is true, comfortable, don't ride up, wick sweat away etc, etc. The one area they could be improved is if the material was a little thicker in the rear area to keep skid marks out of sight. Then they would be 100% Perfecto!!!
Chick who likes men’s undies better than girls ones.
I’m a girl, don’t like ladies undies because they tend to go where the sun don’t shine and the elastic gives me a rash. Definitely love these undies but because I’m a girl, wish that there was an extra panel of bamboo in the crotch over the Lycra. Also, not sure if it’s because I have girl legs but the undie legs do ride up at times (luckily not into the “Grand Canyon”) and then need pulling down. Maybe they’re too small or too big, I’m not sure. However I still find them comfy and as Ned Flanders would say in his tight ski suit..feels like I’m wearing “nothing at all”.

Best undies, especially fur working up north Pilbara !
Great range of colours, reasonable delivery time and if your buying in bulk the price is very fair for the quality of the product! Recommended for hot climates definitely! I’ve found that if you wash them as suggested in the tags! They remain great!
They are snug around the waist! They do ride up my legs just a little bit it depends on what I’m doing that day really or the type of pants I have on ect.
I was recommended these buy a guy I was working with, I purchased 1 pair and the day I got them, I order 15 more that same afternoon, they are ...
Read morepricey so to make it worth it definitely but in bulk order as to pay 15/25$ at target for nasty cotton ones you’ll save money on quality over the year in the long run, again if your working up north in the heat, they are definitely the go !! Plus they have an awesome range of colours, I don’t recommend buying white though.David H.Perth, WA
That it right that my undies ride up
They write up that's all I have to say about the whole situation I enjoy your product but they do write upI have brought up to 8 pairs of them I enjoy him but your advertising the say they do not write up I don't I don't agree because I might hate Piers right up every time I have to go to the toilet I've got to pull them down cos they're up around my between my legs

Perfect if worn inside out
Bought these for my husband who works outdoors in the hot Pilbara heat in Western Australia. Chafing was a real issue.
Only downside is the stitching around crutch, this caused irritation to the skin, so hubby wears them inside out.
Great except stitchings come loose
Bought my first pair recently and they are amazing, love them. My only issue is that after two wears the stitchings come loose on the left panel near the fly hole.I still think there great, even through my disappointment

I decided to try step one... this is my honest opinion
I got a bit (ok, alot) hooked from the hype, so I decided to try them, so I contacted Step One and worked out my size and ordered one pair (L) to check size before ordering more. I got the emails that my order was accepted and would be sent. That was on a Tuesday.. by the Friday, I contacted to see if there was a tracking number or something and was just advised to wait. I was asking how they were arriving? Courier? Post? Was there a tracking number? Step One didn't/couldn't say? I was expecting/hoping the order would arrive on the Monday (6 da...
Read moreys)... they didn't show, so I emailed again, but just told I had to wait. Excitement was waning by now. So, that Monday night, I looked online and found another similar type of underwear, so I ordered a 3 pack of the other brand and they arrived on the Thursday (2.5 days). Still no sign of my Step one pair. I liked the ones that arrived (3 pack for $less than the price of one pair of Step One) so, I ordered a six pack of the other brand (6 pack for $less than the price of two Step Ones). The next day, (the Friday 10 days from the order) the Step One order finally arrived. I had already tried the other brand and liked them. I tried the Step One and yes, they were good. I did find them a bit sweatier than the other ones, but comfortable. I want these all to last, so I hand washed them so not to wreck them in the washing machine, a good rinse and air dry... but when I was about to put the Step Ones on the second time, I noticed the stitching was beginning to unravel where the sewing machine had just stopped and the operator simply cut the cotton? Step On (probably sick of me by now) ... happily sent me a replacement pair, which arrived much faster. I haven't opened the replacement yet as I am very happy with the other brand as I found them less sweaty and better quality (than my first pair of Step One) So, unfortunately, I tried hard to like them, (if the first pair had not taken 10 days to arrive) had I not tried the other brand, I would likely have stayed on the band wagon and probably have bought a few more pairs... but the other brand at six for $(less than the price of two Step Ones) and being very comfortable... won me over. The Step One are nice, comfortable... I did find I sweated more in the Step Ones than the other brand. The biggest thing that made me go to the 'dark side' was the price. I really can't afford $29 for one pair, I just wanted to try Step One, so I splurged. The only way I could consider more Step Ones, is if the price came back down onto the planet. They are nice, but not $29 nice, and when I am so happy with the other brand at essentially 1/4 of the price... and I do find the other brands band more comfortable and I like the other brands bright colored bands. Step Ones are very nice. They are a lifestyle thing, I just can't afford the lifestyle and I personally am more of a follower of practicality (and price) ... than fashion. Those who can afford the lifestyle, or must be seen to have a fashion item, will be very happy with Step One, no doubt. Hopefully my first pair with the dodgy stitching were an odd one, hopefully the quality is normally better, or will improve. I must check my replacement pair soon. As I said, this is an honest review. I am not anti Step One or trying to bad mouth them. I tried them, I see the good points, I may have got the only one dud pair (but I do recommend others look at their stitching) but I wont be Trading any time soon.Hiking test by Gary smith
I purchased a pair of the trunks because I was fed up of my normal shorts riding up.I was going hiking in the lakes so I decided to try a pair.
The riding up problem stopped and they are very comfortable.
The only problem is after one day of wearing them they are all bobbly as if they have been wash and dried for for a long time.
So I can’t give full marks which is a shame because I really like them

Great quality underwear
The online store is pretty easy to navigate and find what you are looking for. The product range is decent although could have more. The underwear is probably the best I have ever bought honestly, does a pretty amazing job and feels good, doesn't chafe which is great and perfect for my needs although it does ride up only a slight bit but still doesn't stop how comfortable it is.

Extremely comfortable but they have started to fray after a couple of months
Extremely comfortable but they have started to fray after a couple of months. Love wearing these and have a couple of pairs. Only one pair has this issue but didn't expect to have this issue.

Well I gotta say these are the most comfortable boxers I've worn but 1 of the pairs are starting to wear out and lose colour abit and i doubt that should be happening since ive only worn them twice

Premature wear
Great underwear and very comfortable however after only a couple of months my step one undies are wearing through in the crotch area. I am disappointed in the fact that they will soon be unusable after such a short time

They’re good... but not quite great
Don’t get me wrong, these undies are very comfortable and have become my new daily choice of underwear, however the build quality isn’t fantastic. I find they last for about 6 months before developing a hole or before the elastic around the waist starts folding in on itself. At first they’re great, then the older they get, the more the elastic seems to fold and curl as you’re wearing them, resulting in you constantly having to unroll them before repeating the process 5 minutes later.
My only other criticism would be that they’re very plain. The option of some design or patterns would be cool instead of just single colours.

Good but expensive and doesn't last long, same model from tradie is half price
I like Stepone and have 8pairs, they are better than most other brands but they don't last long. I just got the bamboo no chafe from Tradie and they are the same for half price.

It's perfectly fine, you just pull the waistband down. No different to the jocks I wore for 50 odd years of my life.

Step One sets out to makes men’s bamboo underwear with simple aims in mind: to be really comfy, to remove the ‘permanent front wedgie,’ and to fit well, all for a fair price.
With an impressive 4.7 star rating from almost 4,000 reviews, this bamboo underwear succeeds. Many happy men reported that their new underwear was exceptionally comfortable, that it fit them well, and that there was no riding up or chafing.
According to Step One, thanks goes to the bamboo fabric, which breathes well and wicks away moisture away to ‘keep you dry and comfortable all day.’ Step One credits the underwear's good fit to a 3D contoured pouch with elastic stitching, which supports the crotch area and stretches to fit.
Step One is an ethical company with BSCI certification, and they use organically grown and FSC certified bamboo.
