Makes my life easier.
It has been a reliable and consistent appliance and I could not do without it at our place. It always starts first time everytime and we have never had anything go wrong with it in 4 years. We also went and bought a Stihl Whipper snipper as we liked it so much.
Not only is this an excellent blower, I am proud of myself for discovering it (& buying it)
When I looked around to buy a petrol blower,I chanced upon a japanese made Makita RBL 250 retailing for $279 at Bunnings. I thought this looks good but I'm aware that Makita is not well known for garden power tools. I did some research and found out that Echo PB2155 ($299) and Stihl BG56 ($249) were on offer. I took one look at Stihl and decided to buy it.
It turned out to be a very sound decision. Visually, this blower is well made and the external parts fit very well. The colour combination of orange and white is pleasing to the eye. Althoug...
This blower is wonderful piece of equipment to use. Very easy to start and it has the fantastic idling sound that every owner will know. At FOT the engine is still reasonably quiet, considering it is a 2 stroke which is good for the user and people around. It is also pretty fuel efficient. The only problem is that Stihl spare parts have always been expensive, but then again at the price of $249 AU on sale ($349 RRP) you just can't go past that. Recommend this blower to anyone that is looking for a blower for around the house.
Fantastic idle sound! Easy to start, compact size, simple to use and reasonably quiet
Stihl spare parts are expensive
A worthwhile investment!
Was debating about getting a Makita at Bunnings but read fantastic reviews of the BG56. Decided to take the punt and go for Stihl. Great thing about it is that its made in USA! You can't beat that!
Saw it on special for $249 till end of June. Cranked it up at home and whoa! This thing blows like the wind and will clear leaves and dirt and dust from your garage in seconds! Lightweight unit that is easy to start, great sound and comes in the iconic orange and white colors. Bought mine at Admon Macinery in Bulleen and the boys showed me how to sta...

Know better, choose better.
I have owned one of these blowers for about seven years and it has never let me down. More expensive than the Chinese made ones but will outlive them many times
reliable, long lasting
Great! I payed $249 for it the guy at stihl told me that the stihl bg 56 and bg 86 have the same engine and the bg 86 is 499! I used it a lot and love using it.
I am glad it died
I have done a fair few laws in my life and am a very keen gardener so I needed a good reliable blower to keep my gardens looking nice. I was talked into buying the Stil BG56 and what a load of rubbish and total waste of money. From day one it started to flood when attempting to start and as a result I always had spare spark plugs so I could replace the wet one with a dry one. I have had a 2 new carb kits fitted and the report from the repairer was that I have to get a brand new carby. Having spent more on repairs than what the unit cost I can a...t long last say goodbye to a heap of ^&%$. I will never purchase another Stil Product No many pros except that when it worked it blew air NEVER Started first time everytime, Always keep flooding when trying to start.
this petrol leaf blower is one of the best i have ever used in my life but im only 9 so i still have a lot to test.
Whats good about the STiHL bg 56 is that it's lightweight, conveinient, has a great desine, starts realy easyly if you look after well and realy easy to sevice.
