This has been frothed, to appear more in quantity. In fact, you are getting less. More to the fact, it ruins the texture of the ice cream. This is not ice cream.
I just stirred my favourite flavouring into this icecream. It was just soft enough to roughly mix in some peanut butter and vegemite. A 2 litre tub shrank to 1 litre before my eyes. It must be full of air bubbles to fluff it up. Not a wholesome tasting icecream to begin with.
Not what is used to be - very disappointed
Seems all the good old ice creams have changed formulas to make more money for their shareholders. Streets Blue Ribbon is certainly one of them. It no longer has that creamy look or taste and is now very ordinary. Only good thing is the range that is now available. Incidentally the Coles (premium) 2L flavoured ice cream is the same stuff. Read the label and compare container with Blue Ribbon. All the same!
This is perfect.
Just bought this ice cream yesterday! Delicios!
Also it one of my favorite ice cream.
I will reccomended it to all my friends!
Terrible - looking for someone who doesn't use buttermilk
The ice cream made with buttermilk is disgusting. It is too soft. It tastes terrible. It doesn't even look like ice cream. I am currently looking for an ice cream NOT made with buttermilk (and oversweetened to compensate) frozen yoghurt or gelato may be an option
New recipe is awful
Why would you change the recipe when it was absolute perfection. This WAS the only ice cream my entire family EVER purchased for decades. It is not the same product. So dissapointed. It's not worth eating. It has lost all its creaminess & taste.
Why? Why change the recipe? Why why why???
No longer the product I have been buying for nearly 20 years!! Lost a customer - tastes like icy vanilla water, like a no frills product at a premium price - you people are stupid. We're not the idiots you're looking for.
what happened to creamy?
So it's not my imagination, after reading other reviews, that it isn't that yummy creamy icecream I once loved. Noticed the creamy color had gone and wondered if the lost creaminess was all in my head. Clearly not. No more for me thanks. I want ice CREAM, not ice!
Love your ice cream, and all the awesome flavours.
just one complaint when the recall was done recently we couldn't find the expiry date on container. found out today it is on the rim of the lid and very hard to see..It should be stamped on the bottom of the container. Will still buy your ice cream. Keep up the good work

It is watery foam and lots of suger. This is not ice cream. It is so synthetic . You used to be my favourite.
Once upon a creamy ice cream...
Goodbye my fave dessert... I am bitterly disappointed that they changed your ingredients and killed the finest ice cream available. Fools have taken control, or aliens perhaps.
That happened to everyone's all time favorite streets blue ribbon ice cream.
The cardboard container don't seal properly. The ice cream turned icy after opening had to be thrown in bin. Waste of money so stopped buying it all together!
Yuck! Yuck! Yuck!
Unfortunately, there's no option for zero stars, so I am forced to give it at least one star. This is awful and has been this way for quite a while now - pretty much since all the supermarkets started advertising this "ice cream" (and I use that term loosely) at a non-special price of less than $5.00 a tub. Obviously, if the price is reduced, something's gotta give, and in this case, it's flavour. I've been doing some research and since Unilever took over Streets, so many iconic Australian ice creams (I'm looking at you Hazelnut Roll) have ...fallen by the wayside and now all we get is a smaller selection of the same rubbish. I recently went to Fiji and they import a lot of their ice cream from New Zealand. What a revelation that was! Scrum-diddly-umptious!!! No reduced-fat, reduced-flavour, increased filler type ice confection!!, just good ol' fashion u-beaut ice cream. Most IGA's will stock it - you know, the one that makes the original Hokey Pokey...Give that a crack, you might be pleasantly surprised!!
Terrible. You can't call this icecream
You can no longer call this ice cream. It's made up of sugar, thickener and air. Seriously revolting. What happened to the delicious buttermilk blue ribbon icecream many years ago.
Will never buy this product again. No frills tastes better!!
sweet, sickly, watery and gooey trash
This stuff is terrible. It tastes like sweet water which has been thickened and isn't smooth or creamy but must be made of starch and thickener as it's sticky, sickly sweet and tasteless and clearly changed to maximise profits for the company shareholders. Most probably stretched by adding maltodextrin filler and glocose. All of Streets products have taken a nosedive in terms of quality so anybody educated should steer well clear.
Used to love this ice cream. Recently opened a tub to find an icy, watery, tasteless imitation of an old favotite. Will never ever purchase another Strreets product again. EVER. Just writing this review makes me feel sick remembering the taste.
terrible plastic packaging
dismayed to discover old favourite had changed packaging to plastic, nowhere near as good, goes icy instead of creamy, no longer favourite.
We always buy blue ribbon vanilla in a tub. But was disapointed in our new one it wasnt as creamy as it usually is it just means we can buy any brand as the other brands were always icy not creamy and looks like streets has gone the same way.
No longer worth buying
This has been my favourite ice-cream for 15 years and now it tastes the same as all the other crappy ones at the supermarket. It tastes fake, looks fake, is full of rubbish 'ingredients' and to top it off, they've changed the packaging to a environmentally disgraceful plastic tub! [censored word removed]! Looks like I'll make my own from now on -or spend $10 on Maggie Beer. Nice one Streets.

stop stuffing around with what made the company.
When companies keep stuffing around with recipes that made them, you then realize that some new younger management has been employed. If these people cant work and promote the successfull items streets already had then it makes you wonder how they got the job. Im not fat. I dont care if its a new healthier recipe. You can whip water all you want but its still just whipped water with crappy skim milk made to give the appearance and taste of creamy icecream, but it doesnt. Your icecream is now just like all the other rubbish filling our ...supermarket freezers. Dairy bell did what streets are doing years ago. Where are they now? Dead. Peters have done it also. I wonder how they are still going. They most likely survive on there commercial products that taste nothing like the garbage in supermarkets.
