Very expensive!!

Very expensive rates for gas! Twice more when some other providers!
But customer service people were very helpful and professional, trying to provide me with better rates. Also, I appreciated repayments reminders SMS.

I changed to Sumo Power because of a recommendation, the set up process was fast and easy and so far I’ve had no issues and cheaper bills! The discounts if you pay on time are very good. Show reply

useless

I have been Sumo customer for about 6 months. In those 6 month I went through hell and back, bills were through the roof and wouldn't arrive on time. Customer service was poor. I wouldnt recommend this service to anyone

Wonderful Service!

I received a reminder that the gas bill was due in a couple of days, rang up and paid the bill with Zach. He was very helpful, efficient and made the payment process very easy.

September 13th 2019 Update: Fantastic Service!

I rang about a gas bill and was informed an estimated reading had taken place rather than an actual reading. That was my fault as I'd left stuff up against the house that made getting to the meter very difficult. An actual reading was offered, on the proviso I move the stuff out of the way. The SUMO person was very obliging and helpful. I was even told a 4-hour window and the date the actual reading will take place. Fantastic! Show reply

Problem Solved

I am a DVA Gold Card holder and have had problems getting my concession entitlements. Customer Service person Miriam took my details and resolved all of the outstanding issues including back dating my benefits. It was quick and painless.

Excellent!

Had sumo gas connected as well as electricity after moving into my first home. Hadn't had any dropouts or other problems. The staff were really nice and are understanding, makes you feel welcomed and open. Thanks to Laura who was incredibly helpful today. Would recommend! Show reply

Best Customer Service Ever

My recent experience with Merem was brilliant, she was a real person who offered real solutions that meant so much. After leaving a supplier who treated their customers like robots having this experience is a pleasure.

Excellent customer service

Having received frustratingly poor customer service from utilities companies in the past, I was pleasantly surprised by the professionalism of Zac and the other Sumo customer service staff I spoke to today. You would expect articulate staff with high level communication skills would be a must for any customer service operation, but surprisingly few large organisations appear to understand this. Following Vanessa's information, I'm puzzled by:-
1) We received no notification of being a customer of Sumo after occupation of Unit No.215/15 Fulham Rd, Rowville, 3178 since 25/1/19.
2) No invoice with account number provided by to date, due to Sumo's technical issues.
3) We are not considered for the usual discount for our gas usage. Show reply

Excellent Customer Service Always for Gas and Electricity

Now have Sumo as my provider for both Gas and electricity and they are very customer orientated
I have a tight spot in my budget with many bills falling due together and asked for a 2 week extension
and was grated this without losing my discount How good is that

Tess and Tony finally solved the problem

They used common sense and got to the bottom of a billing problem. I was being billed by another company. Tess asked me to check the number on the meter at my house. Sumo had the correct meter number..the other company did not. Thanks Tess and Tony for actually caring and do your job!! Show reply

Called to discussed fake (potentially) sms from Sumo stating that account was overdue. That wasn't the case. All confirmed and solved. Nice to talk to person who you can understand and who can understand you. Show reply

One big con trick

Went to Electricity and Gas Compare and Sumo came up best with a 43% discount and bonus for early payment, was told fixed price for 12 months. 6 weeks later up went the price. Sumo claim there was no fixed price and when you look at their documentation in much smaller print on the conditions there it is. Design to mislead as its the only small print on the entire document. E & GC claim they didn't say 12 month fixed price but I know 2 others who used them and were signed up to Sumo were told the same and got caught, one last September, one in November. Both company's are design to mislead and rip off. I will be changing over to a new company the moment the price's go up. Don't be sucked in by either company.

Shonky and dishonest. Avoid at aĺl costs!

If you're the kind of fool who drives around for ages looking to save a few cents on petrol then you might be sucked in by these shonky individuals.

If you want an easier life you'll avoid these dishonest operators. They are liars and make false representations.

Make sure you read all the previous reviews before going anywhere near these thieves.

Those nasty guys are just ridiculous! cannot be trusted!

they rudely transferred my account to them after I have said to my provider AGL to stay. When I received the successful transfer letter stating my account transferred to them in August, the letter emailed date was 13 sept. Let alone it was after two months the original conversation happened at the end of June. I contact them they said i have to cancel it by myself and the logic behind this i think AGL can use the same reason to grab my account back! which will void the transfer. Everything with them is wrong, even with the calculation of my gas bill. they promised me 25% discount and the bill just give me around 10%.

Conclusion; never ever contract with those guys!
