BUYER BEWARE! No proof of results and pushy sales reps!
First of all, the company itself seems reputable and accomodating to your needs, and if I was to go ahead with the installation, I'm sure they would have been very pleasant to deal with.
However, after a 1-hour call with [Name Removed] about the Energy Plan Pilot Program, [Name Removed] pushed straight for a deposit to secure my spot! without me being able to consider the financial decision I was about to make, seemed okay at first but in hindsight just seems suspicious.

Read moretion of 5.5kw for $9230 as well as the "possibility" to sell stored energy for 10-20 times the standard feed-in rate, based on being apart of the virtual power plant, which sounds amazing! and in theory, should help reduce my return on income, I was excited, to say the least. However, all I could base my decision on was [Name Removed] telling me the figures saying "we sold energy for $$ on Monday $$ on Tuesday and $$ on Friday", which for all I know is part of their sales tactics, there was no data provided to say I was going to be getting these figures. Even when asked for, they wouldn't give me any data to get any sort of idea of what I could expect. Eveready subsidised battery promotion
Received an offer in the mail, unsolicited. Decided to give them a call to find out what it's about.
I have an 11kWh system with 10kWh 3-phase inverter, so Energy Australia currently pays me a credit every quarter. I've never paid a bill. Here are the details from the call I had with Sunbank today:
1. They are flogging a "national battery" plan. It's essentially a collective of customers with batteries of various storage capacity. All monitored from a central computer by Sunbank. When viable, they use the collective capacity to sell to energy ...

Sunbank's subsidised price @12,800. Saving of $2,200 allegedly. 10kWh battery capacity. Will see what competitors are charging to install the same battery. 5. My daytime feed-in tariff from Energy Australia is 11.5c per kWh. Sunbanks electricity plan is offering a paltry 6c per kWh. Half! 6. Was pressured a few times to "leave a deposit now, in order to maintain my place in the queue". 7. Sales lass had to go and check/ask questions a few times. Seems to me it's not often they encounter somebody who has a reasonable knowledge of solar operations in Australia.6 comments

Please also check your junk mail folder as sometimes emails can end up there depending on who your email provider is. In reference to the information in your review, the feed-in tariff you mention is the minimum feed-in based on your distribution network and is not all the time. The energy plan has a energy trading platform (known as a Virtual Power Plant) where your energy will be sold at higher rates throughout the day on the open energy market when the opportunity arises and you would receive 100% of the profit on what your energy is traded for. So as an example, if there is a trading event for $0.20 - $0.30 per kWh, you would sell your energy at this price. As you mention, your battery price also includes a monitoring and maintenance plan over 5 years ensuring we look after your solar and battery system and it is working to its optimal capacity. You mention the Tesla Powerwall2 has a capacity of 10 kWh however this is actually 13.5 kWh capacity. We provide all customers with further details and battery specifications and so if you have still not received this, I do apologise and can ensure that this reaches you if you provide us with your customer number or name. Sunbank Solar NOT WORKING.
Our system is almost 12 months old. It was very good until it stopped working last week!! Why do all your staff refuse to answer the phones?? We have been waiting since Friday to be called back so that we can request a service call to rectify this. I am not impressed, Where are you when we need you?

Whole process took over 4 months =(
I responded to offer in the mail in the south east suburbs (VIC) for a 4kw system. Sales staff indicated 6 weeks for install in my area. Ended up taking over 11 weeks to get the system installed. The system quality, performance and install were good but the customer care trying getting the paperwork finalised afterwards was painful. Sunbank's landline repeatedly went to voicemail during business hours and the staff kept repeating that they were at the mercy of the third party installer and there was nothing they could do, could not even provide...
Read more an ETA. Full amount was already paid. Certificate of electrical safety took 7 weeks from the install date. I ended up having to escelate to Energy Safe Victoria. Whole journey took over 4 months, maybe yours will be quicker but this was my experience. I just hope the business survives the warranty period on the inverter (5YR) =(1 comment

Still waiting
The purchase process was quick and efficient. However, I have had my son take the day off work waiting for the installation team to arrive. We were told they would arrive between 7.30am - 11am. It is now 1.25pm. I have left messages and so far had no response. They requested payment up front. I was a bit concerned... but now very concerned that they have a large portion of money with NO result. I will keep you all informed if anything changes! so far NOT happy!!

Frustrated
The product is fabulous, does everything expected of it. Very impressed with the installer and the sales team. Unfortunately contact anyone but the sales team and the phone calls are only accepted on message bank and not answered very quickly if at all. The info packs that comes with the product are not in the least 'user friendly'. Could we have better explanations of how WE are to use each of the products not the very technical date we were given. Info Moni only gives us the state of the battery and where the power is coming from, cannot...

Firstly they have to notify you if they wish to enter your property and secondly they monitor the battery condition performance remotely so they should not have to enter your property unless there is a problem.
