Garbage – Like the other reviews, my toaster burns one side while barely browning the other side. What kind of useless company cant even get a toaster right?! Just as well sunbeam dont make aircraft or vehicles. Looking down while its toasting you can see some elements are glowing red while others look cold although they are actually on. Its not faulty, its just poor quality and design. looks nice, holds toast well at different thicknesses uneven toasting

Not impressed – I bought this toaster only recently and it was poor from the start. The settings are 1 to 6, and even on 1 it burnt the toast, but only on one side, the other side was barely browned. So disappointed I bought another brand (KAMBROOK) which was cheaper and gives a far better end result Burnt one side, undercooked the other

Learn From My Experience and Don't Waste Your Money – The only memorable part of this experience is knowing that this is the worst toaster I have ever owned. From new it was never able to toast properly and would often burn one side and leave the other underdone. This was the case with all settings as if there were no variation from setting one to setting six. After many frustrating mornings of… Read more

scraping burnt toast off into the sink I decided that that was it and threw the toaster into the bin in disgust. I vowed I will never buy another Sunbeam product after that.

My advice is to spend the extra money and buy a quality toaster. The saying "If you buy cheap, you buy twice." has never been more apt.

This is not a toaster, it is a bread crematorium.

A Kitchen Must-have – Amazingly, I bought this toaster three years ago, and it's still going strong. It was quite cheap and at the time I remember thinking that I'd probably have to buy another one next year. However, this toaster has proved to be a surviver. It's very efficient, and always cooks my toast with one toast. Easy to use and reliable, this is a kitchen must-have. Inexpensive, reliable, good brand, long-lasting

It is a great Toaster – Everyone in the my house loves the toaster. We can toast a thick and a thin bread. It makes life so easy. It even has a removable crumb tray. So, it makes cleaning up a breeze. It toast the bread evenly. Regardsless whether the bread is thick or thin. You will not be disappointed owning the toaster. Inexpensive and reliable

Drives me crazy – I hate this toaster so much, I joined this site just to vent. I have wasted lots of bread on it. Most of the time I have to cut off the edges of the burned toast when it has finished cooking. Tip - if you use a low setting and cook the bread twice, turning between cooking the toast is not quite so uneven. But what a hassle... I have had it for a… Read more

few years and it's still going. Although this is kind of a con because I wish it would break so I could be justified buying a new toaster! Cooks really unevenly. Burns one edge of the toast. The push up button doesn't pop the toast up high enough so you burn your fingers trying to get it out. The tray underneath sticks and is really hard to remove.

Absolutely useless – Toasts unevenly. Charcoals the edges of the toast and doesn't even touch the top 1/3 of bread. Had one unit, took it back, then the second unit exactly the same...its going back. Contacted Sunbeam and they said it is the first time they have ever had a problem with this unit.

You wonder why a company trashes their name making cheap items for the supermarket chain; I wont consider the brand for a more expensive model now.

Bad – It took a while to get the knack with the settings, 1 to light, 2 burnt, 3 charcoal with fire alarms tested, 1.3 just right, or just stand over it and watch it like a hawk. It tended to burn on one side and brown on the other, you could never get both sides the same color. It does have a lift up function which works well for bread but when… Read more

it came to smaller items like crumpets and muffins even with the lift they still had to be dug out gingerly with fingertips getting singed in the process. Looks nice but this is a typical case of over design and under function with the beauty only being skin deep and the internals being built to a price and not a standard. Looks good on the bench, Easy to clean and empty crumbs Just binned ours after only 18 Months use. Developed an internal short that popped the house circuit when used. Rang Sunbeam but outside of guarantee period so all I received was a thunderous clap of indifference. He even tried to recommend their ceramic range of toasters to me as a replacement, 10/10 for gall. I will give them that.

Good – This is an excellent budget style toaster. I've had it for a few years now and it just hasn't missed a beat. The high-lift function is perfect for cooking muffins and crumpets (saves getting your fingers burnt). The only negative I have is that in recent weeks I have found it cooks one side of the toast more than the other. If you are after a… Read more

toaster that is cheap and cheerful, small and compact I would recommend you give this one a go. Cheeap, reliable, small, outside of toaster does not get hot. Often makes one side darker.

Bad – I have the 4 slice version of this toaster (TA2410) and haven't been impressed. It's difficult to find a section of the slot which will cook smaller slices evenly, you tend to always get burnt edges. All the heat coils stick out a varying degrees which means you get overcooked patches next to undercooked areas. You get better results with… Read more

higher quality (less sugar) bread, but if you're using supermarket or Baker's Delight bread you'd better not leave the toaster alone for long, or you'll have smoke pouring out. The time control sits quite loosely in its position and is quite easy to bump. Overall a disappointing product. Fits "hi-top" bread Cooks unevenly. Often burns the edges. Time control too sensitive.

Excellent – We purchased the Thick and Thin when my daughter dropped the old toaster while emptying the crumb tray and breaking it.Havent looked back, this is a great toaster, nice looking at does exactly what its been designed for.I love thick slices of toast and this takes them with ease.Recommended resonably priced reputable brand. We were attracted to… Read more

this toaster because of the wide slots enabling us to toast crumpets and hot cross buns with ease.Takes four slices of toast at once, great for a family. Tends to be hard to get the setting right, either to high or too low.

Good – Overall, the 2nd unit is very good with even toasting. However, we returned the same model the day before as that unit was not toasting the bread evenly resulting in burnt toast on one side whilst hardly any toast on the other side. This 2nd unit is very good and happy to say it toasts evenly on both sides without burning the bread. I like… Read more

setting 1 the best for lightly toasted bread. We bought the 4 slice version and no problems with this unit We actually bought the same version but returned it the next day as the elements were not all heating up.

Excellent – This is a great toaster! It looks great and is not out of place in any type of kitchen. It toasts nicely, though we have never used the highest setting - would probably come out burnt! The unit is easy to clean, particularly the removal of crumbs. The fact that you can easily toast things like crumpets, enormous bread from the bread maker and… Read more

English muffins is fantastic. Once toasted, bread etc. comes out very easily. This is a very user friendly toaster. Good value for the price and performance. looks great, toasts nicely, easy to clean, fits thicker foods like crumpets and English muffins easily. Nothing actually!

Good – We bought this toaster after our other one died. I must admit the main reason that I bought it was it was the one with the best look and functions for the price. The dial is super easy to use and my favourite function is the high lift where if the toast is too deep you can push it up to lift the toast higher. No more getting burnt fingers on the… Read more

top of the toaster reaching for toast (or risk of accidental electric shock). Clean lines. Works really well. Easy to use - have not burnt any toast in it yet. Has some handy functions. Great price.
