A proper mix up
I wanted to extend my Solar panels by three.
Ended up with a bank of twenty, seven of which face the south. Apparently the north facing roof wasn't big enough to take them.
However the overall process though lengthy was satisfactory but I still don't know whether or not the solar power is going into the grid but looking forward to a zero power bill.

No proper communication
The installation guys were great, professional and very helpful, and the instal was done in under one day.
Once everything was installed i was happy and comfortable thinking now my bill will be significantly less and that's it? until over a month later i receive an email from sunburst telling me to contact my energy supplier to install a meter???
I was confused and unsure what this mean?t so upon calling them they told me that the solar was not working until this meter was installed???
I was furious to hear this and more furious once i calle...

Eventually all good.
After 3 different dates finally got my system installed. Boys on the job done a good job. It took 4 months after initial signing but happy to have it up and running.

Would of got a 5 star rating except for warranty repairs
Had my installation yesterday and the install team were very efficient, friendly and professional. Unfortunately shorty after they left the inverter started to fault. Called after sales support and they asked me to send through photo's and a description of the fault. Have done that and haven't received any follow up call since even after I have emailed them twice with more details of the fault. A little disappointing especially after I just paid for a new system and want to make use of it.

Annoying overseas receptions
Installation was great. The guys who done the installation where professional and on time.
The only issue I had was the overseas phone calls hassling me for money. They even tried to get me to make final payment before the installation. As to which I told them they was dreaming if they thought I was going to pay before the install. I was then contacted again whilst the guys where fitting the panels and asked for payment again. And yet again I told them that they was getting NO PAYMENT until installation was finished.
Basically they would have got a 100% exelent rating if there call center was based in Australia and was not so harassing

Could definately use some improvement
I felt like my initial concerns were not dealt with by sunboost sufficiently and in a timely manner. I also believe there could have been more information offered through the process. I am particularly disappointed that I only received 2 small pages of information (quick reference in a booklet) for my inverter, and due to there being no window with performance information on the actual inverter, I now have no clue how access information on my solar systems performance or set it up through my computer.

Introduction and offer
They were very clear on the phone explaining what they are offering and discussed my current solar system and gave me advice on what alternative solar can do. A little pushy at first but after i explained I already have a system and gave them the info'm, they were happy to come back to me after I have time to discuss the issues with my current suppliers.

Solarboost communication was average, Contractor sent only 2 people didn't finish job on the day, had to wait a week before they came back, while they stored the solar panels in my shed. Forgot to supply wifi dongle didn't want to wait to wait for contractor to program and setup, did it myself which was a bit of mucking around. Overall System works well, but communication such as dealing with the contractor and business needs improving, and they need to communicate to each other.

Friendly Team, good support. Need Improvement.
Good communication. Competitive prices. They don't physically check your roof for installation which make issues when real installation of the panels. Difficult to contact the technical personnel after the purchase. Good friendly company but needs improvements for customer support. They are happy to beat your quotations from other suppliers.

I was told installation would happen on 12 January. Three installers showed up and scoped the job (this is something other companies do BEFORE the date of installation and, if they are operating professionally, BEFORE they agree the price).
The installers made some comments about the need to run conduit and have an electrician to install.
Today (Saturday) I had a call with Sunboost telling me the job would cost a further $500 because it would take a day to install the wiring to the inverter and meter box. There was some (gobsmacking) comment regarding if it were not installed according to legal requirements, I could not use the solar system if it were inspected by relevant authorities.
I explained I had been offered a price, agreed a contract, expected the system would be installed in accordance with legal requirements and I would not be paying a cent more. I have asked Sunboost to send me a firm plan regarding installation by Monday, at the agreed price and, if not, I advised Sunboost I would have to consider my options.
Completely unsatisfactory performance to date. Hopefully Sunboost will redeem itself.

One of the 3 installers was the electrician on my job. They cant install it without an electrician. I had my site inspection on the day of install ebven after I asked for one prior. The electrician used conduit to run wire which is a requirement for all cabling anyway.
I did have another company come and do a site inspection but the person who came was rude and basically told me he was wasting his time with me. He also quoted almost 3 times the price for a similar system

We signed our contract with Sunboost on 13/11/2020 and paid our $200 deposit. We were supposed to get the system installed before Christmas but Sunboost Reps would just ring a day before installation and cancel. We have made endless calls to them and been transferred to installers who tell you that they will be coming to install and then they don’t turn up. Then we were told that our house was too high for the installers. We complained and was told that a representative from the installers would come and have a look at our house today then install the next day. We are still waiting. I wonder if Alan Border knows how this company really operates?

I didn’t have such issues. We had few cancellation due to rain on those dates . Who was the sales person. We had Mark. Talk to him and he will sort you issues.

Sunboost don’t let you talk to anyone but who they want you to talk to. It would be a waste of time asking for Mark. He probably doesn’t handle my area. We are in North Brisbane.

Oh well, you probably forgot to mention that, customer need to pay 300 deposit in order to secure the lowest price. Then it is wonderfully come with 10 days cooling period. customer will get REFUND with cooling period. Amid fee $150 apply. Wow easily, regardless what, sunboost gets 150 with every customer that they loop in thro “10 days cooling period”
