After two failed online attempts on the Sunsuper website, I asked to be called and a very delightful lady helped me with the process of setting up a transition to retirement account. It was only yesterday that I got help!
I've been with sunsuper for years and I'd have to say......Don't get injured and if you do and the claim comes they will help guide with claim. Don't just get a lawyer it may cost money but will save you drama and a headache. Not impressed and contradict on some document questions.

We have been with Sunsuper 10 plus years. Sunsuper superannuation performs well, the fees are comparatively low and you are able to get advice from them when needed. We recently attended a Sunsuper retirement presentation in Townsville. It was very helpful.
Excellent customer service
I have been with sun super for approx 30 years. I have never had a problem with dealing with any of their customer service representatives. Any questions have always been dealt with quickly and have taken no more than a phone call. Highly recommend sun super to anyone and everyone.

23 years. Very good. Very glad I changed to Sunsuper. Sunsuper is the best investment I ever made. Pity compulsory superannuation was not brought in earlier. Pity the Australian Government raised the age for the Age Pension. I have to wait until 2020 for Age Pension whereas I could have Age Pension by now.
Just phoned sunsuper and spoke to a lovely lady named Emma (i hope i got that right) regarding the income protection that's linked to my account. Emma was very informative and even talked me through how to update my married name online. She was compassionate with my condition and showed genuine care. I was very impressed with the service and communication i received today.

Death benefit claim
I have been dealing with Sunsuper since 7th July 2014 trying to work through the death benefit process for my 17 year old daughters. I have had to engage a solicitor to help me navigate the constant brick walls that were continuously being put up and that was just to get the application paperwork. Today I received the news that you have decided to pay me half of what the payout figure is and the other half is to go to a one night stand that resulted in her conception. According to my solicitor he has been told that the money will sit there a...nd if not claimed by this person after a certain period of time will be given to the ATO. This person is not on her birth certificate, has never paid maintenance. There is no DOB or any details besides his name. The mental torment that you have put me through as a grieving mother is beyond disgusting. I wouldn't recommend you if you were the last Superannuation fund on this planet.
Superannuation is great and Sunsuper do it very well. I have been with them for a considerable time after my employer changed over to them maybe about 10 years ago. Information has always been helpful and valuable and their advisers have been of great assistance. The Pension fund has been doing very well, I now have more in my account than when I started and that was whilst drawing down the minimum 4%.
Ive been with this superannuation fund for 16 years. Ive always received a great rate of increase with minimal fees. They alerted me to the PTD insurance that I could claim on when I was unable to make payments due to job loss. They changed my world.

Automatic life insurance without consent
I work overseas. My account got transferred from Austsafe to Sunsuper automatically. Suddenly they added unwanted insurance which made my balance go DOWN, not UP. What a rip-off! At least getting a login and cancelling the insurance was easy.

If i paid for fees like death cover costing me almost 600 freaking dollars and then you close my account what benefit did this have to me? Id like my money back seen as though now my account is closed ive paid for a service that ill never receive..wheres my money you thieving fools
Hi Mitch, as a complying Superannuation fund, Sunsuper must provide eligible members with Standard Death and Total and Permanent Disablement insurance cover unless you tell us that you do not want this cover. As you had the benefit of automatic cover, a premium was required to be paid. You can cancel your insurance at any time. If you request the insurance to be cancelled within 60 days of the policy commencing, any premiums paid will be refunded to your Super-Savings account.
