Great for new parents!
My son loves sitting in Beema Q pram! We've got 3 prams and he only loves this one. He can sit in it and be happy for us to push around for hours. Very very impressed.
Easy to go on the road. No problems with turning at all. I've seen mothers having problems with their prams on CityCat but I never have any problems with Bemma Q
My son likes to look up and always bump his head on the side. Eventually I had to put attach some pads on the side so he won't bump his head. But this is the only problem we have...
Love this pram!
We have been using this pram for 2 1/2 years now and it gets a thrashing with us as I take it walking all the time, not always on a path and on uneven surfaces, it is constantly in and out of the car and we are not gentle with it. It has never failed us once! I'm really disappointed to be moving on to another pram as I need a two seater.
Easy to manouver, easy to fold, sun shade can be adjusted to any position for bub, comfortable for children, front bar removable.
Quite large when folded, no option for toddler seat, not suitable for newborn without the bassenett option attached as there is no support for those so small.
Lasts the distance
We have had our Beema Q for just over five years and still find it to be our favourite stroller of the five we have used/owned, and it has certainly lasted the distance having clocked a fair bit of mileage. After all this time, the only issues with the pram are a broken lock mechanism (however, pram stills folds and closes fine) and one of the hood "arms" has come unhinged but the hood stills retracts without a problem (and this could probably be fixed by screwing it back into the joint). The brake, handle and seat still work perfectly.
We h...ave used it for all three children, and still do as we will use it for our sleeping five year old if out and about. It is so easy to maneuver, even one-handed, and I love that you can recline the seat with one hand also. Brake is easy to apply with your foot, even if wearing open toed shoes, and there is plenty of storage with a large under seat basket and behind th seat pouch. It's a shame there isn't the option for a double. Can't recommend this stroller highly enough. Fantastic value for money, sturdy, easy to steer, seat reclines easily with one hand, easy to collapse, large under basket storage At 10kgs, a bit on the heavy side compared to some of the newer prams on the market.

Long lasting, hard wearing, good extras, one con but a big one in my opinion.
This is a great stroller, sturdy, adjustable handlebars, BIG basket, hard wearing tyres. I bought this stroller in 2007, I bought it in blue/brown which was a mistake as it gets dirty easily, so would recommend buying it in a dark colour, however all covers are washable which is really handy. I also bought the bassinette which is great for the first 0-6 months max depending on size of baby of course, however having just used it for my 2nd baby the bassinette hood has snapped on one side and is unrepairable so I now need to buy a hood otherwise ...I can't use the bassinette again, also the bassinette hood is very noisy to get up and down so not good if baby is sleeping, however the stroller hood is not noisy. Bought sun shade and rain cover which are worth every penny. No option for toddler seat, but not an issue for me as there was a big gap between babies, I recently bought a buggy board for my 4 yr old and it fits well to the stroller. The rear tyres can detach for easier storage, the front wheel can lock in place if you don't want it to swivel while walking. There are a few cons which I will list. No support on seat so baby tends to slump to one side and looks uncomfortable I have rolled blankets on each side of baby to keep her upright, also sides of stroller on inside have minimal padding only piece of material, so baby occasionally bumps head and is painful for her at times, this happens due to there being no support and baby slumping to side as prev mentioned, this is the only reason I wouldn't buy this stroller again. Heavy. I currently have the 12kg stroller, 7kg baby and 15kg child (on buggy board), nappy bag 5kgs (more like 50) ;) so thats pushing more than 30kgs, looking on the bright side I'll be getting fit! Having said all that, it has been 4+ years since I bought it and Swallow may have given these issues some attention so may be worth checking it out.
Durable and effective
Purchased the pram with the bassinet and used from day 1 with our first child and now with our second. The bassinet is fairly straight forward to attach and remove and of a decent size. Note though that when using the bassinet the backrest needs to be down flat and therefore makes it difficult to place items into the bottom storage area. The frame itself is very robust and sturdy which does make it slightly heavier than most. The straps for securing the child are only average and lack padding. The large inflatable wheels are perfect for smo...othing out uneven surfaces, though can be a bit cumbersome when transporting. The back wheels do run off a single axel and you will experience some added tyre wear more than expected. I would recommend to go to a bike shop and purchase puncture prevention tape. This is placed between the tube and tyre as the rubber on these tyres is soft and prone to punctures. Also be aware that the tyres (being large and rubber) will mark walls easily. Sturdy. excellent for uneven surfaces and use for infant and toddler. Slightly heavier than most. The smooth ride from the wheels does come at a cost.
Smooth ride, good quality. Very impressed!
This pram is good quality and quite inexpensive. I was a little hesitant at buying this pram, simply due to the fact that reviews had highlighted it was a big and heavy pram and it was hard to fold down. Yes, you do need to hands to fold it but it is so simple to do. I am so glad I have this pram. Yes, it does take up alot of room in your car boot, but that really doesn't bother me as everything else is great. It is such a smooth ride and easy to manouvre.
I have tried many prams, and this is my favourite. If you're looking for a good-quali...ty, smooth and sturdy pram, this is it. I have tried the Combi brand prams, and yes they are light and you can fold it with one hand, but you cannot go walking off-road and the material is cheapo with no padding and the frame is so flimsy! Obviously if you want quality and off-road use, you have to compromise on size (it's like comparing a Landcruiser to a Barina!!!). Bought mine off ebay for $30 and it is sooooo lovely and still looks trendy! In love! Inexpensive, smooth ride, comfortable, five-point harness, nice design, love how the brakes are just one big bar across (so easy and not fiddley), generously sized, Wish the sun visor could be adjusted further forward, basket more accessible,
My boy is now 4y.o. We gave this away when he was 2 because I'm of petite frame and didn't know any better about prams at that early months that a pram of such length and weight actually steers me instead of the other way around. We travel quiet much and boy was it a mistake when we visited HongKong and Singapore to find that the people there actually uses more stairs than escalator not to mention manual gates (not the one with detection to open when somebody is close by)). So between my husband and I,we have to lift this on both ends alot. The ...good thing though many people are so much more friendler because The 3 wheeler wasn't so popular then. Many actually stopping us to ask about where we bought the 'Giant' and they coo to my baby son who looked very comfortable on his high seat. IT does the job. My boy was on it till he was 2. Pushes easily and stable. Baby sit taller than most stroller. Cloth material is very soft. Bassinet comes with the package Too big, huge actually. Heavy. Somehow I'm scared to use it on the escalator. Not a good idea to bring overseas (asian country ) as it's (sigh) so heavy to transport in the tube train and stirs, not to mention the un-auto gates that is not too avail in most Asian country
Overall great pram my family member has since purchased one six months ago and they have changed the covering actually goes over the black round part that my son hits his head on.When i rang babyco about this i was told they dont know why they changed it but it wasn't because of saftey. They have never had anyone with this problem before.
Great pram for walking also good storage area under pram.My pram is fifteen months old and still in great cond.Easy to steer
The part where the hood joins on to the pram is unsafe as when my son is sitting up in it and he leans to the side he hits his head on it.
So many practical features, besides no cup holders, it's a brilliant pram. I would buy this pram again and again!!
Turns easily. The detachable bassinette came in very handy (my 1st son spent his 1st month of life sleeping in it, day and night), easily folds, backrest easily adjusts, smooth ride, viewing window. You can completely enclose the baby with the bassinette hood and main pram hoods closed over, great when unexpectedly caught in the rain, or if you want to make it just that bit quieter. Great shopping storage, and generous back pouch f...
Great buy, i have passed on my recommendation to many family and friends. Keeps well, very hardy and easy to clean. Bassinette is easy to attach and a must have for your newborn. LOVE IT!!
Very easy to manouvre, smooth ride for the child. Great size for a toddler once baby grows up. Nice big basket for storage. Easily moved handle to accomodate for any height of person pushing.
No available toddler seat attchement. Heavy to lift into the boot of the vehicle. the joint where the hood folds juts into the seating area, which my son continuously hits his head on. The basket underneath is hard to access when chils lying or when using the bassinette.
I've had lots of prams in the past and this one was loaned to me for my third child, I'm a sucker for popular brands and stylish design so this pram really surprised me - it has a lot of features that other more expensive prams lack. It is a dream to push and it is wider than some other prams, but from supermarkets to street shops, shopping centres, restaurants and even on trams in Melbourne - I've never had a problem getting around tight corners or small spaces. The basket is hard to access in a lying position or when the bassinet is in use, b...ut you can unbutton part of the mesh on the side and then access is easy. I've noticed that the new Beema Q's have slightly different fabric, this one was purchased in 2006 so I don't know how different it is to the current ones in Baby Bunting. I was loaned additional accessories to go with the pram: bassinet, footmuff, raincover and sunshade. I didn't bother using the black sunshade, I think too much black just absorbs more heat on a hot day and the hood provided sufficient cover anyway. I forgot about the footmuff but if I remembered I would have definitely used it for those cold days outdoors. The bassinet was wonderful for my newborn, I absolutely loved it especially as baby could face me (used it until baby was 6mths old) and the raincover came in very handy as well. I've just bought a Baby Jogger City Mini as I've returned the Beema Q to the owner, who will be passing it on to another family member, I think the next person will love this pram! So easy to push and beautiful to manouvre, even over rough terrain! I took this pram over gravel, grass, hilly areas and even the beach (was difficult to push over sand but do-able) and I could turn easily even with one hand. Huge shopping basket that doesn't sag at the bottom when you load it up, there's also additional storage on the back with a very large pouch. The foam handles are really comfy to grip. The big wheels make it very stable, I always placed my huge baby bag over the handlebar and it didn't tip even if baby wasn't in it. The brake is easy to use and you can apply the brake no matter what type of shoe you're wearing, I'd been shopping for a new pram lately and I cannot believe how hard some brakes are to use. Handle is adjustable and so is the handlebar that baby holds. Noisy hood, the bassinet that you can get for use with a newborn also has a noisy hood - when you expand or fold it back it sort of clicks as it folds, this is not a major negative though. I found the pram to be very long, I'm only 152cm tall so I couldn't see the big triangle piece that covers the front wheel because it sits low - it sticks out the front and I bumped into people's legs all the time, they gave dirty looks in return even when I apologised. Having said that, my older children (6 and 7 yrs old) LOVED sitting on that triangle piece when we were resting or just waiting around! I adjusted the shoulder straps to the shortest possible but they are still too long, even on my now 9month-old. The black fabric fades easily especially on the hood (I used it outdoors a lot but it was always stored in my carboot) and I think the fluoro green piping is ugly but I got over it lol, I also used a woolly liner which made it look nicer and was more cushy for baby.
I bought this pram for my first baby and continue to use it for my second. I am pretty happy with is and would rather lug it out of the car than use my stroller as I can easily use it one handed if need be. If it was not for the above problem I think overall it would be a great pram and to be honest I would not let that put you off too much. I found the features you get are usually found in more expensive models.
Large under carriage storage. Easy to maneuver and push. No worries lifting the front tyre to get up gutters etc. Great on rough road...
Overall this is the best pram i could recommend to anyone. It is easy to use is very comfortable for the baby to toddler and is sturdy. Thumbs up. So much that i dont really want to sell it just in case a third baby comes along.
This is a great value for money pram. I bought it for my first child used it for 3 years then put another little one in it. Has done a lot of miles. Is very easy to fold and manouvering is a breeze. I recommend it for newborn to toddler as it fully reclines and has plenty of leg room. Also the hood comes right over to s...
Great! I looked around heaps and read the reviews on here before buying second hand on ebay. Was the best thing I did. I look at other strollers (like the mountain buggy) and still think I made the right choice.
Great stroller, heaps of room underneath and has great suspension. My little one loves it and its very versatile. May look big but is easy to maneuver and fits down most shopping aisles, highly recommend.
None with owning it. Only I worry that now it has been discontinued that replacement tyres maybe hard to come by, so far no issues tho.
Despite what is written below, the Beema Q is not discontinued, you can buy it in Baby Bunting, also the current Beema Q like mine has good padding in the hood, not like the review below.
Would definitely recommend this stroller, so easy to steer and fold.
I love the fact that the Beema suits newborn to toddler, plenty of leg room for when bubs is bigger.
Love everything about this stroller, fantastic value. Agree with the good previous comments listed below. Fantastic to steer.
I am a big fan of Swallow. My first pram was an Appollo by Swallow and it lasted for 6 years (2 children). As my third child was born with specail needs, I decided to purchase a new pram that would hopefully last another six years! I love everything about this pram, it easy to move about and to keep clean. It is strong and sturdy, defintately worth the price paid. Would reccomend to a new parent looking for a long lasting durable pram.
Good sturdy pram, folds down compact and fits well in boot of small car. Good size basket. Adjustable handle, light and easy to move.
When folded down, will often unclip when picked up.
I bought this pram second hand. It looks like it's had a good life, but I have to say, I absolutely LOVE it and am now hunting around for one in slightly better condition. I did a lot of research on prams before my son was born, and we opted for a 4 wheeler because everything we'd read about 3 wheelers said they were heavy and bulky.
I ended up buying this pram on ebay because we have no pavements around our house, so the first time we tried to take the dogs for a walk with our 4 wheeler, it was an absolute disaster.
I wish now that I'd bough...
I don't regret buying this pram, even though there is no toddler seat. The bassinette was huge and it was very easy to pack away. Heaps of room to place bags and odds and ends. Highly recommended.
Easy to steer around. Very compact and just a great buy at a reasonable price.
No toddler seat.
Pretty good overall.
We bought it second hand (but was virtually new) and we're pretty happy with it. It was a bit pricey brand new, but I think the prices have come down. Some "second child" options would be nice for the pram so an older kid can hitch a ride - not sure if they do these.
Fits nicely in supermarket isles. Runs smooth. Folds up pretty easily and sits flat in the car boot so we can pile things on top of it.
Sometimes gets "sticky" and I struggle to fold it up - probably due to technique which I haven't quite mastered. Must be a guy thing. It's black, so does tend to attract some heat.
I highly recommend this pram, we have found it to be sturdy and reliable. This pram has also been voted as one of the safest prams by Choice magazine, this was another reason that we invested in this reasonably priced pram.
I love this pram! It is easy to use and does not feel heavy compared to some other three wheelers. The basket is one of the largest available on the market and it can carry a lot of weight. There is a bassinet attachment for the young baby which is a great investment.
There is no toddler seat option so we have had to borrow ...

Does anyone know where I can get parts for my beema Q Swallow?
I have been given a swallow whisper stroller. It appears to have lift up flaps either side that when lifted look like capsule adaptor slots. Can I buy adaptors for a maxi cosi capsule. Thanks Victoria
