Broke after 12 months
I bought the system as it was meant to be NVR - well that wasn't entirely true as it had ethernet cables that went into the back of the recorded, but each camera also needed their own power source too. Just after the warranty period each camera started dropping out - the image would go completely black at night and purple during the day, then they'd completely die. Eventually the DVR died too. Complete waste of money.
Unreliable, hard to make it work
I bought NVR4-7300 kit (4 camera + 1 TB recorder) kit from swann dealer and got it installed in new house. When house was powered up, the kit was turned on. The recoder showed only 1 camera out of 4 connected, and that too dropped (video loss) frequently. Spoke to tech support in Philippines (person who didn't know where is Sydney) and gone around restarting system multiple times. He suggested to remove cameras (mounted high on two storey house) and press reset buttons. I did that but nothing changed. In short, after paying good price, I have product that is at the best 50% working (at the most it displayed 2 camera) and that too highly unreliable as it looses camera views on daily basis, i have to pull all wires out and reset to see 2 out of 4 camera working.
