Waited almost 10 months for installation of 1 screen. Very painful and unprofessional. Staff are very evasive. I do not know how they are still in businesss. I have never had more stress dealing with a company in any industry like I have had with this group.
This Company is a Company that should be black listed
Took my money than don't want to know me. Dealing with [name removed] who is so disrespectful words can not describe absolutely disgusting company. Turned up with wrong measurement blinds only have to be shortened 80 mm but now are bringing them back as is because their to busy and will talk to me about them next year. Shoddy joking sick of there crap. Please do not use this company they will burn you. Have a look at the review stats 80 people said they were shocking only wish I read them first. I have just made a official complaint to fair trading right now.
Disgraceful and Utterly Hopeless
I wish I had checked this website before making the mistake of committing to this company. Perfect till they get your order and deposit, but total different story afterwards. We placed an order for roller blinds and flyscreens on 7 November 2015. Got message that production commenced on 19 November 2015. No contact after that. When we called to find out what was going on, we were told it isn't ready yet and would be ready in a week. And this conversation with customer care has repeated every week since then, word to word. No apology for the de...lay, no proper information and very rude communication. The unfriendly customer service staff are in a hurry to hang up rather than provide information. Absolutely appalling service! Will never recommend them to anyone, and hope everyone Googles them. If they don't pick up the slack, they will be in trouble for sure.
Liars And Cheats!! Do Not Use This Company.
Had a rep come out and quote us for 2 screen doors and was told if we paid and ordered now we could have installed in 2-3 weeks, well that was a load of crap. It's been 5 weeks now and still waiting. After 4 or 5 phone calls, been told it's now not possible for another 5- 6 weeks. Customer service what customer service (probably the worst I've ever experienced). Warning to others, do not get sucked into buying anything from these guys. Now have to go through contacting Fair Trade and the hassle that comes with that. The 1 star review I gave was only cause I couldn't give half a star.
We had Ray come out on the 24th of September 2015 He was wonderful we decided to go ahead with our screens & blinds straight away & paid 50% deposit He said they would be installed in 2-3 weeks its now been 9 Not Happy
I called after 3wks giving them the benefit of the doubt they inform me then after i call chasing them that they need to be check measured it then took them a week & ahalf to check measure & Oh Did I mention we are STILL waiting for them to be installed! I spoke to a lady last Friday afternoon she said they were STILL getting made & she then promised she would call me today to book in an install date she never called
If something is not done by tomorrow lunch time I will be taking it further!
Things started off well. The guy who measured our windows for the quote was on time, friendly, stated it would take 3-4 weeks to install. We decided to put a deposit down. The problem came during installation.. Firstly the man came 1 hour late outside of the wide 10am-2pm estimate, and then proceeded to tell us that the measurements the initial guy measured were incorrect! So new fly screens need to be made! Another 3-4 weeks now.. This is just poor workmanship, inefficient and unacceptable. Will not be using them again.
Use another company and save yourself the pain, numerous delays and poor customer service
I ordered my blinds and screens in mid September, the man who came out was very helpful and polite and so I went ahead and booked with Sydney Blinds and Screens. From that point on it has been a disaster. Check measure was booked to come on the 6th Oct, I told them I wont be home as I work full time and the lady said that it will be fine to not be there as they can measure from the outside. I got a call on the 6th Oct from the gentleman doing the check measure to ask where I was, I said I advised I wouldn't be there and lady said you would be ...able to measure from the outside, he said they cant measure from the outside and the information that was provided was wrong. So it was booked again for the 13th Oct between 9am - 12pm, I said I wouldn't be there but my painters would be as the house is being renovated. At 12.05pm on the 13th Oct I got a call from Sydney Blinds saying they just got a call from the check measure guy to say that no one was home and so he has left. He had lied, as I had painters there whom I called to ask if anyone came by, they said no one showed up. So I had to book it in again for the 15th Oct, I wasn't going to be home as I work full time but my painters would be there. On the 15th Oct I got a call from the check measure guy asking me to clarify which windows are having blinds, which are having fly screens and which will have security screens as they didn't provide him with all the paperwork, so I had to talk him through it all. They went into production on the 26th Oct and I was told it would take 2 weeks. It is now the 16th Nov and I just got a call to say they are ready for install, in a weeks' time and as they cannot provide a proper timeframe for install; i.e. 25th Nov at 11am, I will have to take the entire day off without knowing until the day before when they will arrive. After all the hassles they have put me through, I said this is not acceptable and I need a proper time, not just a day. I'm once again waiting for a manager to call me back about this... which I doubt they will. Every time I have called I have asked to speak to a manager or have them call me back to complain as this process has been a nightmare and has taken much longer than what I was told. No one has ever called me back. Don't ever use this company. I will never refer friends or family to Sydney Blinds and Screens. Save yourself the pain and endless delays and use another company.
Used Wynston Again. Once Bitten By These Clowns, Twice Shy!
Following my terrible experience last time (read my review 27 February 2014), I went to Wynston Blinds again for my double roller blinds. Would never let this company near my place ever again after the rudeness and incompetence of the first (and only) time I will ever deal with these clowns.
Reading through the last few years worth of comments it seems the company hasn't seen fit to change their systems and processes, hire more professional and polite customer service staff, and simply lift their game in terms of customer service.
Good luck Sydney Blinds and Screens! I marvel that you are even in business anymore. 74 "terrible" reviews speak for themselves.

I currently have an order in with Sydney Blinds. Holland Blinds. Things seem to be going very wrong. Pretty much exactly the same as other reviewers. I did not see the terrible Product Review (1.6/5 from 92 Product Reviews) and Google (1.7/5 from 27 Google Reviews [Link removed] ) reviews before I handed over money. My bad luck. Never mind. I am giving Sydney Blinds a chance to live up to their promises......

Our service manager, [Name removed] is working round the clock to resolve your issue. We take pride in [Name removed] work ethics and are confident she will get your issue resolved at the earliest possible. Please accept our apologies in the meantime and let us know if we can be of any further assistance". So...I am going to blog my ongoing saga as often as it takes until I get my blinds and I am happy with them. I hope that my difficulties get real time "work ethics" and my blinds get installed. Blinds ordered and deposit paid 9/10/15. Check measure 22/10/15. Installation promised for 3-5 weeks after 22/10/15. Called 5/11/15 to get installation date ( 26/11/15 would be 5 weeks). On 5/11 Cathy told me "your order has not yet been electronically entered into our system", "2 companies have not communicated with each other", "someone was off sick", "you will not get the blinds within the time frame promised", "we cannot tell you when the blinds will be installed", "we cannot tell you when we will enter the order into our system", "we cannot tell you when we will let you know an installation date", "yes we guarantee installation before 6/12/15". So I call the [Name removed] (the same operations manager who wrote the response above) 3 times but she could/would not take the call. I leave a message and was told she will get back to me. 3 times. No response yet. HELLO [Name removed]? I AM HERE.
Terrible poor service
Please you be sorry if you use their service.
The service is horrible, the people are unprofessional and they think the client is in fault.
No compensation, take day off and they not turn up, aggressive people make mistakes and the client is always in fault.
Please do not use their service bad experience.
Had my flyscreen installed by SBs. They were quick and helpful to come and quote up the work on the weekend. Yet were a complete pain when it came to organising installation.
They would schedule the date which I had to co-ordinate time off work and then cancel on the morning. Then not have availability for weeks.
The work was sub par and couldn't even be completed in 1 day. The rollers didn't roll and the top track was loose and not properly attached.
Do not go to these guys whatever you do.
I gave 1 star only because I can't vote 0.
Unable To Meet Their Scheduled Appointments
They have scheduled with us twice. Failed to turn up each time. My wife took 2 half days off work to meet them which is now costing us a day's wages. Then they offer to install a week later! What a joke!
Absolutely useless. Have never experienced such bad service in my life!

They don't take away the old screens
This is the 3rd time and last time I will use this company. Installation promised within 4 weeks. Customer service was non-existent. After numerous calls the installation occurred after I had left for overseas and my daughter was home for installation. I arrived home to the old doors still at my home. Calling them was as useless and appalling as all the other times - I was told that it was my fault as I was not there for installation.
We called all safe security for a quote on a steel security door on the 15.6.15, David Spencer was the sales consultant. We asked if David could put a rush on the order and he said that he couldn't but assured us that it would not take longer than 8 weeks, we accepted and paid the $950 50% deposit.
Once the 8 weeks had come and passed I called al safe security and spoke with Ann Maree and she told me that steel doors take 12 weeks, I told he what David said and she didn't believe me but said she'd call me back with a status update. She neve...r called me back and when I called back she told me that it would take another 3-4 weeks. I told he I was going away and I was assured id have the door within 8 weeks she said she'd have to get back to me. Again I had to chase he up as she didn't return my call, this went on 5 times until I finally had enough and called last week and spoke with a Rosa told her the situation and she said she have Ann Maree call me back. Again nothing, so I called again for the 10th time Rosa apologised I told her I don't want to deal with Ann Maree anymore as she never returns my calls and she apologised and said she would call me back with a status update again no one called and on the 15.9.15 at 10:30am I called again Ann Maree answered she said Rosa was busy so I left a message for her to call me back, no surprises she wasn't given the message. Finally today 14.10.15 the door was just delivered even though I was told it would come at 10am it came at 1pm and now I have to wait for the installer to come at 4pm. This has been the worst experience I've ever had with a company, from the rude customer service ( thank god Ann Maree isn't in the medical field !! People would loose there lives) to the time it takes to receive your goods. How could a company justify waiting almost 5 months for a steel door when I was assured 8 weeks. If you don't want to develop an ulcer or waste time and money on phone calls or pwait half a year for a door, STAY AWAY FROM ALLSAFE SECURITY!!

I placed an order for blinds, shutter and awnings on 25/6/15. One of the items was a skylight blind for a babies bedroom. The delivery time was 6 weeks. It took nine weeks which was fine but when they came to install a part was missing. The installer said he would notify the office and they would contact me to fix up. A weeks and a half later no contact was made, I rang them and they said they'd received a 'blue sheet' and they'd get back to me. They never did. This process was repeated until one time the person told me it had been ordered and ...was due in next week. Two weeks later I'd heard nothing. Very frustrated I got my husband to call. The lady said it would be 6 weeks as they'd only reordered the day before. My husband then questioned that as we'd been told very differently weeks ago she then changed her story and said it was ordered a week before. Ridiculous! In the meantime I've managed to completely renovate the rest of the house. So buyer beware. Given the number of complaints that come up when you google there name I'm sure the dept of fair trading are going to be very interested to hear about this.

The sales rep who came to see me was very friendly and down to earth. We picked them because they came across as more genuine then the other companies who quoted. We specifically stated we needed blinds in a hurry as we have non and are on display for the world to see. Whole house was hung with make shift windows coverings out of sheets. We were told usually take 3 week but in our case more like 2. Had to take time off work 3 times to wait for the fitter to do check measure. Twice was no show. Into our 4th weeks and still waiting. Staff I spoke with has no idea when our blinds will be ready.

Everything was running smoothly in the beginning, seemed too good to be true! It was! We picked out double motorised blinds for our house. It's newly renovated we have absolutely no window coverings at the moment and we explained we need blinds asap. We were informed 2 weeks to make the blinds. The sales rep came out 3 times to ensure measurements were spot on and to double or triple check I should say what we wanted which was fine by us as we wanted it to be perfect too. We were also told this was the final measure before blinds are installed....We waited 3 weeks and I sms the sales rep to ask when the blinds will be installed. No response from the sales rep instead I get a sms from Sydney Blinds to say I need to confirm our booking by 2pm that day for a check measure that week, sent to me at 3pm?! Another measure, I would have been ok with this had it been 3 weeks ago! Why am I made to wait another 3 weeks when their installer could've come 3 weeks ago. At this point I had called Sydney blinds numerous times to sort this out numerous people answer the phones all clueless as to what is going on no assistance what so ever. I request a manager to call me. The manager explained that a check measure has to be performed by the installer not the sales rep for motorised blinds which I am ok with (this needs to be explained in the beginning not mislead people) however no one can explain the 3 week gap why the check measure wasn't booked previously. It was my text that prompted all of this otherwise we were just left and forgotten about with 50% of the deposit paid. The manager was able to sort out a reasonable time for the installer to come the next day to measure and we had no issues with the installer who explained everything very well. It will be a week since the installer come out soon and I would like to know that our order is being processed in the factory or where ever being made etc. I ring to find out the progress and do you think I can get a clear answer? Will I get those blinds? Who knows! I have to email the manager to get answers as no one in the store knows what's going on. BUYER BEWARE! I'll update on the outcome when I actually know what's going on. For the moment we don't use the main living area as it has no window coverings, I'm not putting holes in our brand new walls for temp curtain rods and I'm certainly not sticking tape to our freshly painted walls and trims so we live with our whole house exposed.
A very disappointing experience
Ten years ago I purchased two security doors and many blinds from this company. The products were very good and the service was excellent. I have had the doors serviced twice over that time - one service each when locks malfunctioned. Each service call was good. Until NOW! Last week I called because a lock had broken on one security door. Firstly they said it would takes two weeks for someone to come out but decided they could send someone in 2 days after I said that the doors were no longer under warranty so I may as well call a locksmit...h instead. Then they said I would have to pay $60.00 for the call out fee and $45.00 for the first hour's labour before anyone could come. I explained that I was a long serving customer, that I had had service several times before and had not been charged in advance, and they had all my details and those of the products I had bought, and I could not see why I had to pay in advance. I ended up paying the $105.00 because they would not send someone unless I paid. When the man came he said the company no longer sold the brand of door I had and he could not fix it. Yes, they sent someone without checking to see what door I had!!!!! I said then I wanted a refund of the $105.00. The man said that he would talk to them when he got back. I waited 5 days and checked my bank account to see if the money had been refunded. It had not, so I rang them, only to be told that they do not give refunds. I said that they had all my details on their computer and that to not check what product I had bought from them before they sent our the serviceman was their fault, not mine. Well, I was then told to not shout - what a great response. Of course I shouted. I had just paid them $105.00 and they are saying I still have to pay because they sent out a person without even checking to see what product they are servicing. They could have checked and then said over the phone when I rang them, that they no longer sold that door - try someone else to fix it. So.... I got put on hold while the person who answered the phone went to see what she could do. When she came back she told me that they would ring tomorrow with an answer. I said I didn't want a phone call, I wanted a refund. Seemingly the person who could make the decision was in a meeting and could not be disturbed. Well, I'll wait with baited breath for tomorrow's call. I'll let you know what happened. And, no, my door is still not fixed!!!

I have previously used your company many times over the years My mum warned me that your service was terrible I was shocked as I had always been very satisfied Can you explain why so many customer reviews are SO bad? No, she won't and when (not if) it all goes wrong she won't even return your call. It's no fun having your hard earned money taken, constant problems, stress, rude lying customer service, asking for your money back and being denied, being threatened - even with court - if you don't pay up the other 50%, being frightened to the point where your health is impacted and all because the supplier took your money and never bothers to call again once they have the 50% deposit. Expect to do all the phoning. They take away any trust in human beings. Felt preyed upon. Worst experience with a supplier ever. Save yourself the grief and look elsewhere. Make sure you do your research. Good luck. I wouldn't recommend this firm to a worst enemy.
