DON'T EVER BUY ONLINE FROM SYDNEY TOOLS!!!!!

We bought a toolkit online from Sydney Tools, waited for a month before they called and told us there's no stock. Ok, sure, then I asked for a refund, but get this, after numerous calls and emails back and forth, now 3 months later, still NO REFUND. Excuse me, that's my money that Sydney Tools is holding on to. HOW HARD IS IT TO PROCESS A REFUND??? I am going to lodge a complaint with ACCC if I still don't get my money back next week! Show details

Another Sydney Tools Stuff Up!!

Every single time I try to order from ST there is always a problem.......EVERY SINGLE TIME!!! Needed a battery for last night, ordered online, paid extra for next day delivery and of course the order hasn't turned up! Previous orders have been for items that are apparently in stock but when I go to collect they never are! Why, Sydney Tools, is every interaction with you so difficult? Great Guys, Always price match

Guys at Sydney Tools Brendale are always good to me. They price match anyone which is fantastic. Only negative is experience with dodgy DeWalt not sending redemptions which isn't their fault. Though I would warn people against buying DeWalt as it's been over 60 days with no redemptions sent. Now reported DeWalt to ACCC. Show details

Terrible customer service - Cannot get warranty replacement

Bought a Makita 18vx2 Auger from Sydney Tools on 4 May 2023. The tool was bought for a decking project and got through 3 holes before it fizzled, popped and smoked on the 4th hole in soft easy soil. I contacted Sydney Tools via phone the Monday after, got asked to mail in pictures and an explanation. I explained that you cannot see the issue, the tool looks brand new. They still wanted pictures sent to order@sydneytools.com.au. I sent them with an explanation and all the details. I have not heard from anyone since I have submitted (6 days). Show details

Do not buy from them

Ordered at 5/12/2023. Order is still in allocating. Called them that said some items not in stock and can not cancel order either. They are the worst online storee ever. Luck paid by Paypal. Now claim from PayPal to get my money back. Not deal with them anymore!

After making an online purchase I realized the name on the invoice was in my personal name rather than my business name. I called 3 times, emailed 3 times and more than 4 weeks later the issue has still not been resolved.

Worst customer satisfaction this customer has ever received

They couldn't provide tracking for my order, The attitude is they don't care where my order is, and they have listed all the excuses in the book why it hasn't arrived when I've had stuff from a lot further come. Have been an avid customer then can bugger off now im off to bunnings or mitre 10 when i get a chance. Also, the store was literally just 5km down the road, but i cant drive due to seizures and i cant walk because im busy

Bas reviews are legitimate

After seeing shocking reviews I was dubious about buying from Sydney Tools so I bought a headlamp for $15 to see how they go . After a week of no order progress I dropped into the store to eventually be told it's out of stock , it took another week or so to be refunded with no communication at any stage. Slow service and online ording crap

Rang and placed an order with port Melbourne store on Friday morning for 1item. It wasn’t posted until Thursday afternoon. Nearly a full week to ship one item that was in stock.
Online ordering with shipping is crap too. The couple of times I’ve done it, it’s taken nearly 2 weeks for item that we’re all listed as in stock. Show details

I have been emailing Sydney Tools Customer service since November 2023, just a simple request re instructions for a Lincoln Compressor, just get the run a round Very Disappointing!

Went there to purchase a tool kit that I saw online, only to find it wasn't on the shelf. Guy wanted to swap tools to get it as close as possible but pricing didn't reflect accurately the changes, it was highly slanted to the store. Disappointed

Bought a cigweld welding jacket for around $100 it lasted a couple of months with holes burnt into it useless bit of ppe didn't do what it was supposed to for the money. Took it back to show them hoping not for my money back but atleast a good deal on something better all I got was "that's no good" no offer of anything in anyway. They used to be good and I've spent hard earned money there but certainly won't spend another dollar at Sydney tools. Plenty of other stores around. Show details

DeWalt Generator 3200w

Purchased gen set for power outages in rural area because of lightning strikes and storms. Could not start it one day no matter what.also fuel gauge does not work. Took it in under warranty. Has been there 3 weeks and have been told possibly up to 8 weeks wait. Under the trade practices act this is not acceptable. If we loose power I cannot run my fridges or have lights. Just not good. Enough!

What a [Content Removed]

Ordered a product online on Monday 11 Dec, as the website said it could be delivered by Thursday 14th Dec. It’s now Saturday 16 Dec, and I don’t even have a shipping number.

“Head office” is closed on the weekend, and none of the stores can access my invoice, so I can’t pick up the gear I need from a physical store, even though I’ve paid for it.

If I had known it was going to be such a [Content Removed], I would have just waited and gone into a shop on the weekend. Sydney tools are the WORST.

Don't buy or send any tools for warranty repair, they just take the tool back and never give it back!

By 11th of October 2023, I have brought the hikoki jig saw back to their Riverwood store for under warranty repair, sadly never heard back anything from them!! Its just like if the tool has just got vanished. I called their store for 3 times. No answer or reply at all with their repair and service department at all! Terrible experience! I would further open a formal complaint with ombudsman fair trade department for this case! Remind you this jag saw has only been used for 4 months after being purchased!! Show details

DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!!!

On the 8th of November we purchased 15 boxes of nails ($555) I received an email saying my order is ready for shipping. I waited 10 days before I emailed them requesting my tracking number and i had no response. I called the them 2 days later and they informed me that my order had not been shipped, yet. I was told my order will be sent that day. I waited 2 more days and had not received my tracking number, so I called them again. They told me they had posted my item and gave me a tracking number that DID NOT work. The tracking number did not exist, they lied to me. I contacted the store again and they told me that they were not sent, they finally sent out the nails. I received them on the 6th of December.

Absolutely terrible service! Sydney Tools is not capable to ship an order or refund my card! Not worth shopping there!

Order put in on 4th Nov 2023, all items at the time of order were showing as in stock. No confirmation email when an order will be shipped. I chased it, and got an email telling to contact one of the stores. Another email said they don't have items I ordered. I asked what they got, no answer. I asked when can they ship what they got, no answer. I asked for a refund. No answer. I had much better customer service experience with companies where their customer service team in based in India!!! Sydney Tools seems not to care about their customers. Not worth the hassle! I much rather go to Trade Tools, Total Tools or Bunnings. Absolutely terrible service!!! Show details

Avoid - false and misleading postal information

The purchase page of each item state postage is free and very fast in large black and red lettering above the price.
In reality there is an excessive cost for this fast postage and it is not free. If you don't notice then you won't receive your item as expected.
When you contact customer service they won't help you despite telling you the item will not be despatched for several more days. Show details
