Website closed/phone disconnected
I ordered a very expensive dinner set, they took my money after it was in stock, and now the website is closed for maintenance and the phone number has been disconnected. I have emailed twice and no response. I am very upset as they have over $1k of my money and as the payment has been cleared from my card I don't have any chance of getting it back.

TLDR: Called on 21/11/2020 at 2:22pm, was told both items were in stock at that exact moment. At 2:29pm I was emailed that my order was received. However, I was informed after posting this review that the items were not due to get to them until 22/12/2020. Not computer error. Bad business practices.”

Top quality placemats and a good price. Fast delivery was a bonus .
So happy with my placemats ...they are really top quality and soooo beautiful. Got a better price than the local pop up which had the same brand , but not the same design.

Lack of communication
Purchased an item before christmas, hoping to get it before the day. I then emailed about it asking when it would be shipped and got a reply from Justin saying that it was on back order, which he clearly stated that it was visable on the website and on the invoice. This was OK, my mistake. He also mentioned that expected arrival was mid Feb. Read more The ETA was Mid - End February for the backorder item you purchased. This has blown out to the end of this month due to Covid-19 affecting manufacturing around the world. The email in early January may have been missed when we reopened on the 15th of January after Christmas break. We have reduced our staff significantly over the past 8 weeks to allow for safety in our warehouse and office during this time. If you have not received a reply to your April email I apologise. In regards to your comment about a Bing account, I have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. Yesterday, I sat on the phone to Optus customer care on hold for over one hour waiting for assistance. Recently I returned a faulty chair to JB Hi Fi after waiting a month for them to order a replacement which they could not supply due to supply chain issues. The reality is that between Bushfires in November / December last year and then a Global Pandemic, so many links in supply chains have been delayed. I agree our service may not be good enough at this time but we are doing our best. One of the greatest challenges is staying on top of shipments from all different parts of the globe, where are they, when are they arriving etc. Many manufacturers at this time have a skeleton staff and we are getting very slow response times to our queries. Ordered an item in September, and am yet to receive it or any further confirmation since the initial order email. Have emailed multiple times over the past few weeks and have not received any response. Very disappointed and unsure of what to do next. usually wouldn't write a review but seeing as they have replied to some here i thought it might help me get a response.
Edit - the day after i posted this review my item was shipped and it arrived 17/10/19. Still no response to my emails. Disappointed as a first time customer to have this experience as there are other things on their website i would like to order but am reluctant to ever order from them again.

Rudeness and blaming the customer is their game.
I ordered a dinner set. 5 days after ordering and not receiving any correspondence I decided to contact them to make sure all was well and get a ballpark dispatch date. After phoning 3 or 4 times with no answer, I sent through an email asking when my order will be dispatched. Some time later I got a bunch of emails from Tableking and Afterpay. The Afterpay stated a refund was being processed. This gem came from [Name Removed] at Tableking: " Hi there, I have received your email and voicemail. Since you choose the title of this review and made it personal by throwing in my name, I will Blame you, because life is too short for online bullies like you. 1. Your title - I find customers who have a valid reason to feel the need to write a review. write a title such as still waiting or poor performance. They don't try to grab headlines, all for the sake of getting as many people to read their review as possible. If you like getting likes, try Instagram. You placed an order during a time we publicly advertised we were closed. You then mention no one returned your emails or answered the phone. Hmm, could be we were closed. When I checked the email as I stated to you, I organised a refund due to the volume of messages and emails as I felt you needed it urgently. Heck even our refund was not good enough. Essentially, you placed an order, received a refund. You didn't have to fight for a refund or argue, We simply did it to put you first. 3 I sent an explanation (not rude) but simply a matter of fact. The explanation failed to be to your liking and was seen by you as rude. I challange you, if you have anything rude from me, publish it. 4. I advised you if you look at the website we were closed, but rather than accepting any slight form of personal responsibility, it was our fault because the font of our message was too small for your liking. Albeit it was read and understood by hundreds of others. 5. To grandstand further, you have to put in a personal dig such as "This little gem from Justin". At no point was I rude to you, merely matter of fact. 6. You then finish your nasty little review with, "Now look at the other negative reviews. There is a pattern here." I applaud you for your effort on that one. They do however say don't throw rocks in a glass house. Looking at the 3 reviews you have left on product review, they are all negative. That seems like a pattern. So in close, I would like to say this. Your review is simply click bait to deliberately and intentionally hurt us because you simply did not want to accept you may have not read the website correctly. Also, given you ordered during our advertised stocktake closure, how could any reasonable person feel that gives you the right to cause potentially thousands of dollars in future damage to a business. 20 years online, 14 negative reviews, there is a pattern.- 3 reviews
I’m a happy customer
I ordered some Wedgwood dinner sets which were an excellent price but out of stock absolutely everywhere. Although the website made it clear that there would be a delay due to the goods being imported I received a phone call checking that I was ok with the anticipated delay within minutes of placing the order. I was impressed by that. The dinnerware arrived within the expected time frame and I am really happy with them.
I have had no problems with emails being responded to so I find some earlier reviews surprising. I personally would have no hesitation in buying from TableKing again and would recommend it due to the low prices and very reasonable shipping.
