Excellent bathroom scales
After returning a Propert brand scale to Harris Scarfe (which were totally inaccurate and a complete waste of money), I bought these Tanita scales from David Jones. I researched these first, and made my decision based on reviews on this site. They were very reasonably priced, and have proven to be very reliable and accurate. The only surprise was that they use a button battery, rather than conventional AA batteries. This is not a problem. I cannot comment on battery life, but I would recommend purchasing the Tanita scales of accuracy is important.
A set of scales that actually work
Why can't all bathroom scales just work, these do. After reading a number of reviews, many scales appear to suffer from the same problems, different readings each time you get on, even though you haven't done anything to change your weight. I chose these scales after reading some good reviews of this brand. Weigh yourself, have a glass of water, weigh yourself again and you have "put on 100g". Eat a meal, and you may have added a few hundred grams. Pop into the loo, and you have lost 100g...or sometimes several hundred. Weigh yourself a c...ouple of hours later (having not eaten or drank anything) and you are still the same weight. At least with these, you can actually determine if you are loosing or gaining weight and you don't have to think "are the scales just weighing heavy today?"
