Perfect for summer
Nice on a hot day. Keeps the room cool and comfortable enough to be able to relax. Not to noisy and doesn't use alot of power. Very happy customer here:)
Cold air comes out the front of it
Yes a cheap portable aircon would be better. But I dont have $500. Picked this unit up from Target for $100. You put ice water in the back and a cool breeze comes out the front. Fantastic. You can set it to swing and cool a group of people.
Bought this expecting to be disappointed.. couldn't have been more wrong..works perfectly..cool air, even cooler if you add chiller block..but remember to press the cool button.."ahh " said my son now i get it..
We got this hoping to avoid buying a portable air conditioner. It did pay off ! The build quality is very good for the price and works great. The reservoir holds 8L of water and has a separate tray for Ice if you want to add some !. It has a built in timer and a fail safe switch when water runs out. It also comes with a remote. Very happy with the product that we bought a second one for the dinning room. Word of advice, read the instructions to understand where to place the device. You need to keep in a ventilated area.
Questions & Answers
What is the size? How many kilowatts, can it run of a 3.5 kva generator?
Uses 65 watts same as a light bulb..with a 3.5 kw generator you could run a fair few..i bought 5..3 for the house, two for the caravan..great little units.
Its low enough to roll under our dining table standing up. Works best with plenty of air behind it ie. not pushed up against a wall. I still highly recommend this unit - although its not an aircon - its a cool fan. It had the added bonus of cleaning the air when the smoke from bushfires was really bad here in Port Macquarie.
