They force people to use those stupid self serve cash registers, I won't use them ,and the customer care well it's crap ,the guy who rang me from target was a crap ,the way he spoke to me ,I will never set foot in a target store ever again ,specially at stocklands at wetherill park,even better any target stores ,they let their staff talk to people like crap an the smug look on their face

I ordered a laser tag game online for grandson birthday- click and collect
Paid via my Afterpay. Named him as pick up person - first name only
Cute I thought for an 8 year old to get his pressie this way . Make up a bit for it being late
Then managed to find identical product without the wait or being late for grandson birthday.
Tried to cancel order via Target customer support
Nope ! They won't cancel
As contract is with my grandson - as I said earlier
They have his first name only and he's 8 !!
I reminded them that he's 8 - they can't create a contract with him
and all my details etc are on there as the person actually paying for the thing...

Click and collect slow, unreliable, sent back even though phoned store and paid for when ordering Rediculous
I ordered 3 items click and collect to take on my holiday. One was out of stock and refunded a few days later. The other 2 arrived after i was on holidays too late and unable to pick up until my return. As the only way to order is to pay when placing the order the 2 items belonged to ME. I rang the store and was told it was still there for pickup. I told him i would be in on Thursday to pick them up. I asked him to be certain they kept them there and he assured me they would be there. So, as per my word i went into the store Thursday to be told...they were sent back , dont know where. I am disgusted. They belong to me, i paid for them and arranged for them to be kept there. Had the service been better i would have had these to take on my holiday. Now no items and no refund. IT is theft they belong ro me were paid for have been sent who knows where and Have not been refunded I will never ever use click and collect ever again. I have been a Target shopper for over 40 years and i will be taking my money where they do what they say and have genuine customer service not waste my time and treat me very badly through no fault of my own.

Take payment and then dont have product !!!
Very strange company. Once upon a time the customer would walk out with their purchase, and make payments over time.
With Target you make the payment, and then discover they dont have the product, but might have it in a week. Theyll let you know when its in stock.
I cant imagine how McDonalds would do business if they asked for payment and then said "oh buy the way w dont actually have any burgers today, come back tomorrow"
One star for one customer service person who actually cared how terrible this service is.
Not one of the products advertised online as being in stock was actually in stock. Target deducted the money from my credit card only to later be told no items were in stock. One took over a week to be located, missing the occasion they were bought for. The other item Target eventually cancelled. I’m still waiting for a refund. Not click and collect. Customer service told me to read the fine print (orders can take up to 10 days although longer in holiday periods etc etc etc). Target perhaps being honest and upfront would be a better store policy. Don’t advertise a product is available if it isn’t.
Bad quality and terrible clothes
I bought lots of nice summer shorts several years ago and some of them are predictably wearing out, as that's what you get for cheap manufacturing. I have looked every year since for something bright and colourful like those and have been disappointed every time. Their jeans are horrible and I don't like most of the basic t shirts they sell either - the quality is obviously not there.
Lack of response
I just wanted to enquire regarding one of their stock, this simple question was continuously avoided by cutting or muting the phone. Their enquires are replied by lazy simpletons who just avoid the questions rather than just going and checking their store stock. This is Target Narellan.
Terrible customer service- thieves
Purchased some items online, they took the money and never delivered the items.
I called Australia post and they confirmed with me that the items have not actually been physically handed in for postage.
When I called up customer service they said they had delivered the items!! I explained they did not as I have not received anything and Australia post has also confirmed that the items were not handed in to be delivered.
I do not recommend anyone shop online with target! Kmart and Big W on the other hand are excellent!
Questions & Answers
My daughter received swimwear from Target for Christmas. After wearing them only twice, the bottom and bust area are beginning to pill and the little slivers of elastic within the material are popping out (as they would on older worn out bathers). As they have been worn, and I no longer have the receipt, am I able to exchange them as they are obviously of very low quality (considering what they cost)/faulty? Thanks
