One star for one customer service person who actually cared how terrible this service is.
Not one of the products advertised online as being in stock was actually in stock. Target deducted the money from my credit card only to later be told no items were in stock. One took over a week to be located, missing the occasion they were bought for. The other item Target eventually cancelled. I’m still waiting for a refund. Not click and collect. Customer service told me to read the fine print (orders can take up to 10 days although longer in holiday periods etc etc etc). Target perhaps being honest and upfront would be a better store policy. Don’t advertise a product is available if it isn’t.
Bad quality and terrible clothes
I bought lots of nice summer shorts several years ago and some of them are predictably wearing out, as that's what you get for cheap manufacturing. I have looked every year since for something bright and colourful like those and have been disappointed every time. Their jeans are horrible and I don't like most of the basic t shirts they sell either - the quality is obviously not there.
Lack of response
I just wanted to enquire regarding one of their stock, this simple question was continuously avoided by cutting or muting the phone. Their enquires are replied by lazy simpletons who just avoid the questions rather than just going and checking their store stock. This is Target Narellan.
Terrible customer service- thieves
Purchased some items online, they took the money and never delivered the items.
I called Australia post and they confirmed with me that the items have not actually been physically handed in for postage.
When I called up customer service they said they had delivered the items!! I explained they did not as I have not received anything and Australia post has also confirmed that the items were not handed in to be delivered.
I do not recommend anyone shop online with target! Kmart and Big W on the other hand are excellent!
Poor online customer service
Customer service is slow and poor for online orders.
Goods very slow to arrive over a month.
I ordered Christmas gifts in November they still havent arrived. Despite multiple calls and emails no answer and no goods. It takes over a week to get any response.
This is the worse online shopping experience ever.
On Wednesday I went shopping at target in Midland WA with my 5yr old daughter, neither of the 2 products that I had gone to purchase, were in stock, firstly I was looking for a trifle bowl which showed it was in stock online, however when I was unable to find it, I asked 2 target staff from different sections, if they knew where they were & they both, waved me over to the glassware, neither of them helped me to look for the item & after searching the store a few times over, I gave up, the 2nd items I came to purchase were school skorts, I was ...wanting to be organised early, however they were still not in stock, I did however find others products to purchase & spent over $40 in store, when I was leaving, I showed my bag & receipt as I usually do, however the door lady was overly interested in my bags, going over my Target receipt & counting my items & then also making me empty my bags & show all the items I had purchased in Big W previously, I had thought this was a little odd, however I just thought that being Xmas & being so busy perhaps they were looking over some more intently, however I then realised more was going on when she started to speak to me so disgustingly, this door lady, whom I have been so warmly greeted from, hundreds of times in the past, was now spitting bile at me, as she pulled apart my empty shopping bags & Im not exaggerating, I understand that some take offence at even being asked to show their bags, however I am not one & I was made to empty the entire contents of my handbag in the trolley, including personal items , water bottles & spare clothing for my child. And when she had seen everything right down to my tampons & had found nothing, she very condescendingly, asked if I had decided not to take a diffuser after all, I was then approached by 2 plain clothes individuals, a Male & Female, the Male introduced himself as a security guard & had a box with a scented diffuser in his hand & had asked me if I opened it in store, I advised him that the box was already open, he then went on to state that he had video footage of me opening the box, that I didnt deny, I did open the box however, I had chosen that particular box to look inside as it had already been opened & infact the card at the top of the box had been ripped open, I was then threatened by the female that the police where in the shopping centre & on their way, ( at the time when this is happening youre a little confused and a little bit out of sorts but later on you look back at the situation and you think, really ? the police are on the way because the cardboard box at the top of a $10 scented diffuser has been ripped and you werent even the one that ripped it !) the male continued to advise he had video footage of me which I explained to him, ( being the decent human being I am ) since the item was for myself & not a gift I was just going to throw the box away anyway, which is why I had placed the diffuser with the torn box in my trolley to purchase, ( so that the store werent left with a damaged box, even though I wasnt the one that damaged it ) however when I went to the next isle I had found a candle I preferred & I then came back & returned the diffuser in the damaged box, to the shelf & that was what the security guard saw, So I wasnt being accused of stealing the diffuser, the security guard, knew I hadnt stolen it, as it was still in the box in his hand, I was being accused & threatened with the police for opening the already torn open & damaged box. Again I advised that the box was already damaged prior to my picking it up and that the video footage would show this, at this time an aboriginal couple walked into the store who are obviously well known by the door staff & security & they were far more interested in them, than they were in me, the security guard then told me I could leave, he was professional & realised it was a misunderstanding, however the door lady was still looking at me evil as I walked away, as if she still believed I were guilty of stealing,?even though she had been over my ever possession with a fine tooth comb. You would think that the security guard holding the product in the box should have been the BIGGEST CLUE to her, that I had not stolen it. Even when youre innocent, an experience such as this, being treated so disgustingly rattles you, I then forgot to purchase other items at other stores on the way out & will now have to make another 1hr return trip next week. When I also returned home, I realised that I didnt not have my Target or Big W receipts, the door lady had kept them. Dont bother to reply to me, Ive never been anymore certain, that, Nothing that you could say to me would ever have me walk in this Target Store ever again. I understand that Target want to catch shoplifters, however I wasnt one, I WAS a valued customer, the kind of customer that would purchase a previously damaged box, I am no longer. Not because of the security guards mistake, because of the disgusting way in which I was treated by the Target Door lady. And I retract that, she isnt a Lady, Far from it. Shes a fake pig !
The range of clothing is great, but sometimes I found the prices a little high. I especially like the Target cookware range and stationery range. From personal experience, the customer service at Target is decent, but some of the staff I have interacted with have acted unfriendly.
Target stole money from my bank account
Target stole $120 from my bank account and still havent given it back!
I used a $120 gift card to pay for $127 online order. After order was processed target cancelled gift card and took the full amount from my visa debit without my authority or knowledge! Numerous attempts made to use online chat only to be disconnected. After a 40 minute wait on the phone was told that this is a known system issue that Target are working through, there is nothing they can do and I should wait for goods to be delivered then return goods in store and repurchas...

I purchased online from Target on 11 December 2019. I received no communication about when my goods will arrive.
Six days later on 17 December 2019 I waited for over thirty minutes with Target online chat, and when it was my turn, Target simply cancelled. Just "hung up". On their FaceBook page, many other customers have posted with similar experiences and worse.
I phoned Target, but was told there is over a twenty minute wait, and I don't have the time to waste with Target, so I ended the call.
I emailed Target, and hours later, not even an auto reply acknowledging receipt.
I sent Target several messages on FaceBook, and although they have seen such, they have chosen not to reply.
Crap click & collect service
Ordered online on 30/11/19. Still waiting on all my items. Worst click and collect ever. Shouldnt be offered by target if they cant get it right. Order from other shops get it within 24 hours!! This system you don't even get it from your local store.....
tells you its in stock but you wait forever for it.
I will never use it again.

Click and collect - waste of time
I ordered toys as click and collect. Ordered on the 6th of Dec and picked up by 13th. I had to call the store to ask if its available cause I didnt get any email or sms. Thinking its was just a one off mistake, I ordered one again since Im already going to pick up. When I picked up my two orders, there were two missing toys( one from each order) and had to call the store again to inform them about it. Currently waiting for half an hour now just to chase the missing toys. What a bad experience. Never again. I wish I would have check the site before ordering one.
Ordered the a Lego toy based on the expected 7 days pick up time frame.
Then waited for 2 weeks without any notification. Call the customer service twice. Was waiting on the line for more than 40+ mins. No one answered call. Try online chat, waited for the online queue for 30+mins then finally my turn and the online chat was cancelled. Absolutely hopeless and disgraceful.
Questions & Answers
My daughter received swimwear from Target for Christmas. After wearing them only twice, the bottom and bust area are beginning to pill and the little slivers of elastic within the material are popping out (as they would on older worn out bathers). As they have been worn, and I no longer have the receipt, am I able to exchange them as they are obviously of very low quality (considering what they cost)/faulty? Thanks
