Did you know they join small pieces of wood together?
We bought a model a few years ago that came varnished. Through the varnish we could see where a larger structural pieces of wood were made from smaller pieces 'finger-joined' together.
We called the Co. & they sent some money back but did blurt "the varnished ones aren't supposed to use finger-joint wood".
I reckon if you buy one in a dark stain or white paint it's made from itty-bitty bits of re-joined wood.
Purchased in June 2015 for $1,500.00.
We have to replace our cot as it's literally falling apart! The side panel that goes up and down sooo roughly, with a big struggle, is now easily pushed over. For example, putting my child into bed I get injured ribs if I lean on the sliding panel as it collapses inward, causing me to drop my child into the cot. I'm nervous my child will fall out of the cot if she leans on that panel and would become extremely injured. So we have to get a new cot.
Very dangerous, expensive mistake buying this brand and I'm annoyed. Oh and the larger size matt...
The drop side was the issue
Didn't come with guard screws abs I can't get the drop slide to work. The instructions are not very good and there is no online support our video to watch.

Guard rail unstable
I felt this cot was good value for money but after having used it for 12 months the guard rail has come off the tracks and the pins have started to damage the wood. We bought two for our twins and this has happened to both of them. My husband has fixed it many times but it is constantly happening. The worst part of it is that it sometimes happens when you put the kids to bed. So there you are struggling with the guard rail and finally you can't get it back on its tracks and there is a v shaped gap that little fingers could get caught in which i...s dangerous especially with the wood already splintering. The guard rail is also then unstable and shaky and could potentially cause a fall. Initially thought it was good value. Bad slide mechanism design. Not sturdy at all for the type of use and for the length of use. I originally got this as a recommendation from Choice magazine but I doubt they would recommend it knowing this issue has happened to many customers.

Yes it can. It has two levels to place the mattress.
Please tell Brad on his review to contact the store as they have sold him the wrong mattress and he needs to get the correct size as is dangerous for his child.
